I was left by everyone…my mom, my dad…and my step-father.
He promises he will never leave me, and god help me, I believe him. Ivo Zacca…my husband He’s gorgeous…not, that’s not the right word. He’s beautiful – in every way, his face, his body, his mind… His kindness. Nobody that beautiful should be that sweet. Sweet but an animal in bed, god… He thinks I married him for convenience, to get away from my asshole of a step-father. I’ll let him think that, because then maybe it won’t be so painful for him when they tear me away from him, when they come for me… When they kill me. I’ll never let you know, Ivo, how happy you have made me, how much I love you… Because fairy tales always end…
Nobody's Girl is a full-length Billionaire Romance novel with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhanger.
It was a good read..I loved how Ivo falls for her & how strong his love is for her. I liked how he was too too caring, how he confesses his love, how he proposes to marry without giving a second thought..But I didn't like the threesome..I don't like it when two people are so much in love with eachother but go for threesomes or whatsoever, when you are everything for eachother why do you even want to go & try with other..(Just my pov) Also, I was thankful that this book didn't involve any rape or serious abuse. Because, last two books I read of this author involved that & I didn't want that. Anyway, it was HEA for both. Epilogue was good...
ARC received for an honest review. This is an Erotic Crime novel. Her Life Is One stupid Decision😵 After Another!
Sophia💋💔 is a secret artist🎨, a world class artist🎨, but no one knows. She's the stepdaughter of Fergus, a billionaire. He's the only father she has really known, but he also has two much older children by his first wife.
Supposedly, his first wife fell down the stairs in his mansion and crushed her skull on the marble floor. Sophia's mother, his second wife, has just died, too, and her death is also somewhat suspicious. Sophia's mother is barely in the ground, when Fergus basically disowns Sophia💋🎨 after prompting by his daughter Tamara💃. Tamara💃 is a jealous, devious be itch, a psychopath, she hates Sophia. She hated her stepmother, she hates everyone except her father. She even hates her brother because he likes Sophia💋💔. Big Trouble is coming. Sophia💋🎨 flees to Paris and ends up homeless, living on the street because she doesn't have a work visa. She is trying to hide from her family, because she knows Tamara💃 hates her and that Tamara💃 is also a murderer. When tall, uber handsome and ripped💪 Ivo🐺🍌🌋✋, an art dealer, and son of two movie stars, hits Sophia💋🎨 with his 🚗car, the attraction to each other is mutual and instantaneous. It turns out Sophia💋💔🎨 had meningitis, too, and Ivo🐺🍌🌋 gets to know her during her hospitalization. He pays her bill, too, since he hit her.
This book is quite involved with several plot lines. The author has Tamara devolving into being heavily involved with BDSM✋ with several very dangerous men. Sophia, afraid to trust after what her family did to her, finds herself involved with Ivo🐺🍌🌋✋, who is also somewhat of a Dom and into some aspects of BDSM✋ as well. I was surprised that Sophia💋🎨 went from being a shy virgin, into a sex🍌 crazed, wonton 💘lover to Ivo🐺🍌🌋✋in just a day! There are some 🔥hot mfm scenes in the later part of the book. Who knew! YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍌, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
Parts of this book would not have worked if Sophia wasn't such a stupid, naive, young woman, and kept incidents from Ivo. But, that's the way the book was written. It's like, " you know there's a murderer hiding behind the door, but you go ahead and open it anyway. "
Nobody's Girl is the story of Sohpia losing everything and then finding something more. At the beginning of the story, Sophia has lost her mother and is kicked out by her step father. The hero of the story is Ivo Zacca. Sophia and Ivo have so much in common and yet seem to come from very different worlds.
I enjoyed the story even though I thought it had some problems. First, this felt like more than one story smashed together. What that led to was a large number of "bad guys". The idea that Sophia had multiple bad people after became repetitive and silly. But my biggest issue was that none of the bad guys ended up having any real punch. It was frustrating. Second, Ivo was perfect. I mean really, totally perfect. I wanted him to have an issue or two but he didn't. Third, there were side items that never seemed to get any follow-up and closure. For instance, Sophia's boss has a backstory. I thought there would be story about the backstory but it was forgotten by the end of the story. Finally, I hated the end. To be clear, it's a total happy ever after story but that isn't the issue. It's the fact that the characters are called private people through out the entire story but then they end up in a very public scene having a conversation that would NEVER be had under those conditions (I'm not going to give details but GAH!).
This story is worth giving a try. It has a good flow. I would recommend this story to anyone who likes a HEA with a dose of suspense.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Everything changes for Sophia in one day the day she buries her mother. She loses not only her mother but her step-father throws her out with just her things and what her mother had left her. Her step-sister Tamara had finally gotten what she wanted Sophia gone. Sophia travels to Paris and basically lives off the streets until she literally runs into Ivo. Ivo Zacca first saw Sophia when they both were swimming in a hotel pool together, He never thought that he would almost run her over in his car the next day. Meeting Ivo was a blessing in disguise for Sophie for it changed her life for the better. Through him she met Desi a gallery owner that gives her a place to stay and a job as well a friendship. Sophie ends up having some of her own art exhibited and sold at the gallery. Getting so much hype over it new reaches the states about her. Bringing her to the attention of her former family. Her step-sister wants her to suffer and seeing that she is happy and flourishing isn't something she'll let happen. Tamara is a psychopath and has killed before so when she meets someone that is like her in mindset a plan is made.
This is a awesome story. It has romance, heart break, suspense and hot sex you couldn't ask for more in a book. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down and was kind of sad when I reached the end. This is definitely my favorite book by Michelle Love. Another five star hit!
I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
This is another example of excellent penmanship from Michelle Love that will grip your heart from the first page. Nobody's Girl tells the story of Sophia and Ivo and how their lives collide in unexpected ways and follow a path that was meant to be. After getting kicked out of her home by her step father on the day off her mother's funeral Sophia forges ahead in her life and not letting anything get her down. Billionaire Ivo feels drawn to the waif like angel from the moment he first lays eyes on her and a possessiveness overtakes him after an accident. As Ivo takes Sophia under his wing and introduces her to his friends and the art world her step sister will stop at nothing to ruin Sophia and take what she believes is hers. Can Ivo protect Sophia from the evil that has her in their sights?? This awesome book is filled with erotic scenes, love, hope and twists and turns with the characters your head will spin. It has his/her POV, no cliffhanger and visits from characters from other books. I love reading books by Michelle Love just when you think you have the story figured out.... surprise, didn't see that one coming. I highly recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book Thank you Michelle Love ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is my first Michelle Love novel. It was AMAZING. Love Ivo and Sofia and started out hating Penn but then realized he wasn't all he seemed. Hated Tamera and Grant. So many good supporting characters in the book. Too many to name them all.
I really enjoyed the plot of the book, how if flowed. How strong Sofia was, how sweet and caring Ivo is.
Was not expecting the level of heat that was in this book but that was in a good way.
I liked how the dark (evil) was balanced by the light (good) and how characters such as Penn who we at first were lead to believe were part of the dark, turned out not to be. There are a couple of other characters like this as well but don't want to give the story away.
Since I had never read or seen a Michelle Love book before I thought she might be a new author. But after looking her up on good reads and seeing how many books she has written, I have added a few to my TBR!
Sophia’s mother has just died and her stepfather a man she called Dad has just thrown her out on the day of her mother’s funeral and her wicked stepsister Tamara is smiling. As heartbroken as she is she decides to go to Paris and paint but artist there are a dime a dozen so quickly she is living on the streets alone hungry and broke. Ivo just broke up with his fiancé Clemence because they fell out of love for each other and he is in Paris to help his old friend Desiree build her gallery. He swims to get a break from stress when he ends up swimming side by side with an angel who was Sophia who calls him a merman. The next day not even knowing her name he hits her with his car and a romance is born but it’s not all wine and roses people are jealous of Ivo and Sophia and they will stop at nothing to destroy them. Sophia is a very strong character and the things she goes through are amazing. I requested this book for free and I have chosen to review it
Wow this story was amazing. Sophia is a sweet young woman, who had a good life up until the moment her mother passes away. Then her whole life is changed and she is shunned by the only family she thought she had. Moving away starting a new life seems great, however things don't go her way at first. Ivo, he is a sweet man and although at first I was rooting for Clemence to be with him, I soon changed when he met Sophia. These two were perfection together. They each brought other so much joy and love that they both needed. Tamara and Grant the evil of the story. They were very twisted and although I hated what they stand for I do believe they made the story very exciting and had me on the edge wandering what they would do next. This story had so many amazing characters, I would love to see them a story as well. All in all this is one of my favorites from this author!
OK so I always think the blurb is what draws you in and makes you want to read the book, but I have to say I don't think the blurb really speaks to the book. I loved this book. Sophia is a character whose situation at the start of the book will break your heart and make you ask why. This is one of those books that it's not the devil you know but the one you're unaware of that will keep you on your toes. Ivo is a strong male lead who truly loves Sophia but doesn't want to scare her with his intensity. He has a few flaws - not taking her to California, telling her about picture and confiding more in old girlfriend. The supporting characters are all well developed and this is a book that will hook you and keep you reading. I received this book and am leaving an honest voluntary review.
I am blown away by the emotion in Michelle Love's latest release. She writes such darkness that is overshadowed by light and I am sucked in every single time!! I absolutley loved this book. I could feel every bit of the emotions coming from Ivo and Sofia. This has love and hate, darkness and light, BDSM and fun. An absolute fantastic read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Ivo = 5/5 Heroine, Sofia = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 3/5 Action = 2/5 Darkness = 4/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = many but mostly Sofia and Ivo Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
There is Sophia whose life completely changes when she buries her mother. She is thrown out of her home and has nowhere to go. Ends up on the streets of Paris. Then there is Ivo who literally runs into Sophia one day and she intrigues him. Meeting Ivo was a blessing and changes her life. She meets Desi a gallery owner who gives her a job and friendship. She also can exhibit some of her own work. This is when things get going as her stepdad and step sister learn of her new found fame. Will she be able to escape them for good? Will Ivo take care of her? or will he leave like everyone else in her life?
I voluntarily wrote this review from an advanced copy of this book.
I just love this book Sarah gets thrown out of the house by her step father on the day they of her mother funeral she goes to Paris lives on the street then meet zake he goes swimming they meet then she get sick someone tries to take her bag then he hits her with his car takes her to hospital she won't tell anyone who she is except him when she gets out he gets her a job and a place to stay they get involved his ex is having his baby her step sister wants her dead and her step father wants her back they get married so she doesn't get deported but they fall in love and him and his friend Penn save her life
Wow!! Outstanding contemporary billionaire romance. This book gets more intense as the book goes on. Last night I stopped at 50% so I'd sleep. There are definitely dark tones which could be triggers and it is definitely a BDSM story. Ivo is a wealthy man in his late 30's and his parents are famous movie stars. When he meets Sophia there is an attraction. Sophia was unexpectedly kicked out of her stepfathers house following her mother's death. Sophia knows her step sister is evil and psychotic and fears for her life. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Love.
Nobody’s Girl combines elements of BDSM, love and betrayal with some intrigue thrown in. From the get go the reader is impressed by Sophia and can’t help but feel for her when she is kicked out of her home on the day of her mother’s funeral which prompts her leaving and winding up in Paris where she meets Ivo. The two definitely have chemistry and the scenes are steamy. However can Sophia get over her past and trust him or will Ivo leave her just like everyone else has? This is one well written book with a storyline that will keep anyone engaged from start to finish. I volunteered to read an arc for a review.
I'll be honest, the beginning was a bit confusing with jumping from character to character, but after the initial information was given, it made so much more sense. Sofia has such a wench for a step-sister, she has put Cinderella to shame. At least she too found her Prince Charming and was saved. I'm not giving any information out about the story itself, but I'm saying that if you have a bit of a hard time getting into it, give it time. The intensity, drama and psychotics will keep you interested and won't let you stop. I really enjoyed this story, Tamara really gave it a lot more character honestly. What a psycho. I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Every once in a while, you are gifted with a truly wonderful advance reader copy of a book that will totally consume you. Nobody's Girl is just such a novel. Michelle Love has taken elements of darkness and light, all-consuming hate, fractured love, and deep longing, mixed it all together and delivered a kickass read. This one tugs at your heartstrings from the book title forward. You'll want to be sure and 1-Click this book today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was amazed at how the story ebbed and flowed. Great read!) ❤️
Another excellent read from Michelle Love! Nobody's Girl is a beautiful romance. Poor Sophie. That girl goes through the worse. Ivo is hot and perfect for her. This story is dark and wicked, but beautiful at the same time. The characters are well developed and they go very well together. The storyline had me hooked from the beginning and I thoroughly enjoyed every second. You get everything in this story. Hot sex, romance, personal growth, suspense, and a wonderful HEA. This is another must-read from Michelle! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
While the story concept was a little interesting, the flow of the story was a bit jerky and made it a bit hard to keep track of the story. Belief does need to be suspended a little coz some parts doesn't sound too logical.
The BDSM story line was a good one to add in, but a little wasted since it kinda only used for fillers like a LOT OF the sex scenes. Was a bit too much and didn't add to the story line so I started skipping it.
The characters could have been more fleshed out to make the story more compelling as well .
The story has potential. I think it needs a good proofreader or editor to go through it. There were quite a few grammatical errors that messed with the flow of reading.
I thought the story would be darker based on the blurb. I don't understand how Ivo can be so shy but then has no problem banging his wife for a whole club to see. It is mentioned a couple of times that Ivo has a darker side but it is never explained. I think a lot of filler could be taken out and more plot/backstory added.
Overall not a bad story just wasn't fully feeling it.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book...
This was a fairly good book. The plot was different and interesting. There really wasn't any substance to the story-line. I didn't feel any chemistry between the Ivo and Sofia. I just struggled with it because they really didn't have any type of conversation between them. It always ended up in sex - not that there's anything wrong with that. There was just something missing that I couldn't put my finger on.
Crazy and twisted book that will have you hooked from the beginning. Sofia lost her mother and now her step father has kicked her out and now she is all alone. Having no where to go Sofia heads to Paris and there meets Ivo and he changes her life. But someone wants to crush her HEA. With jealousy, list, love and betrayal this read has it all.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book
Michelle Love does dark romance like no one else! She packs her books with so much emotion (love, hate, fear, envy, lust) and so much raw sex that you can't put them down. Loved this one with such amazing characters (good & bad) and great settings! I mean, you can't beat Paris, can you? If you love billionaires, hot sex and a great story then don't miss out on this book!
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
The story and characters were great however the lack of editing or proper editing really interfered with the overall presentation. I read for enjoyment and when you read and have to decipher what the grammar errors should have been and exactly what is being said it takes away from the enjoyment. Most the books I have read by Ms. Love I have enjoyed very much so I am a bit uncertain what happened with this book.
This book was terrible. First of all, too many technical errors for me to enjoy. Secondly, there was too much going on. Sofia’s stepfather kicked her out soon after her mother’s funeral, then you have Tamara who wants to kill Sofia—she’s just batshit crazy for no reason. You have Grant Christo who’s a sick bastard himself. Ivo, the hero, was nauseatingly perfect and how they fell in love was so sudden. The storyline was all over the place. I almost didn’t finish it because the above reasons.
I received a sneak peek at the first 6 chapters of this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. No one does drama, suspense, lust and love like Michelle Love and even though it's just the sneak, I am already tell Nobody's Girl is amazing! Once I read the whole thing I will update my review.
Nobody's Girl is a really great romance that is full of betrayal, romance, a bit of darkness and many twists to keep you on the edge of your seat. The story is well written, the characters are ones you will either love or hate and the story will intrigue you from the first chapter on. I would recommend this book. Enjoy.
Nobody's Girl isn't one for the faint at heart. Its dark, gritty much like life can be. Revenge, murder, anger, sorrow then again joy, good friends, true love, smoking sex and romance; this book had it all, and kept me enthralled to the end. The characters were all true to their roles, and the story itself was amazing. I received this as an arc and voluntarily am submitting my review.
This book is brilliant. I could not stop reading it. The only distraction was the spelling errors. Usually they don't bother me but there were just so many. I loved the story and the characters Sophia and Ivo their love for each other was deep. I highly recommend this book.
So this is a interesting one. In the beginning, I thought it was just a standard run of the mill billionaire story but it isn’t. There is an underlying suspense plot line as well...
It’s an interesting book. Intriguing story. Some cliched parts. The writing is ok. Could have done with a really good editor to iron out the major issues with some of the plot points and characterisations...
This is a good read. The storyline is well written and the H/h have amazing chemistry. The story is a little dark and kinky, intriguing and of course has romance. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
