Civilization Lost

Rate this book
The date of 0 S.F. marks the beginning of the Sorcearian settlement on Earth. Sir Gaius, who headed the mission, created the land of Ives to house his people. Though originally welcomed with open arms, as time passed, the angelic race met nothing but scorn from those they shared the planet with. While the initial mission of the Sorcearians was to guide humanity into a world of peace, eventually everyone was pulled into a series of intense wars. As hostilities worsened, the Gaius lineage awaited the arrival of the Arbitrator, the one who was prophesied to bring final judgment upon Earth.

With the birth of Dovian, the Gaius family feared for the future. There remained no sign of the Arbitrator, and after already losing one son, Dovian’s father worried that he couldn’t keep his weak child safe. Guiding Dovian throughout the years, Sir Gaius did all he could to prepare the boy for any hardships he may encounter in the future. By having such a skilled family line, Dovian quickly mastered his Scarlet status, becoming a powerful warrior and medic. Teamed alongside his equally skilled friends, Dovian found that the worst of enemies weren’t necessarily met on the battlefield, but were those closest to him. Fighting against the betrayal of even his best friend, he also discovered the most difficult battles are within oneself.

Follow the key moments of Dovian’s life leading up to the annihilation of his seemingly perfect civilization in this prequel to the Esoteric Design series.
