Unfortunately, I found myself skimming scenes that were boring or simply useless. They were a lot. The Sermon in church, flashbacks, Medlov women council meeting (joke btw), I skipped the whole story and scenes involving Anatoly's sister. It was tiresome. Some scenes definitely stood out like Anil meeting Anatoly but most of the time, I was scanning the pages. I was disappointed given how hooked I am on this series. I guess nothing can beat the earlier books. I'll keep coming back for more though and I would definitely read the next book. One good scene is sometimes worth it. Can't wait for father and son to reunite.

I.CAN'T.GET.ENOUGH!!

When I tell you this series is fire!..believe it! Anatoly is Everything! Of all the Medlov men he is my favorite. The dark brooding demeanor, the tattoos, the deadly focus on his enemies, his quiet strength, ..I love him. I am so happy to finally have a real story line for Dmitry Medlovs oldest son ,outside of his father. It was wonderful to see Anatoly, the father, the husband, the lover, this is what I have been waiting for. The layers of him and who he is and why he is the way he is are finally being pulled away, after so long. I know I may be alone in this, but Ana and Renee are the only real believable couple to me, there relationship evolved so organically and This is really the 1st time we get to see them deal with their issues and for me it was done well. I loved this book and I am waiting with bated breath for the next book!

Good Read
Who knew Anatoly endured so much before he met his father or that he had brothers and sisters. This story will give you an insight into the man and you'll get to understand why he is how he is. Great read.
PS: I think his wife is god for him and I cant wait for book 2

OMG, I'm ready for book 2

This book was sooooooo good. Latrivia wrote a very heartbreaking and realistic story about human trafficking. I was in tears reading about what these people go through on a daily basis. I can not believe that there are people that selfish and greedy to do the things they force on another human being. It is an abomination against mankind.

With that said, I just love the ease Anil was able to get Ana to open up after Renee encouraged him to do so. I was in tears reading his telling her that without her he was lost. That is what every woman wants to hear from her man. It was so heart touching and brought them closer together.

Latrivia wrote the human anguish in Anil Baptist's story. I could feel his sense of desperation to do what was needed to take care of his sick mother, work and go to school. It's going to be interesting with the
possibilities his storyline can take in future books as well as the rescue of Anastasia. I have a feeling the entire Medlov family is going to open a big ole can of azz whooping and retribution on Ryan Colt. I can't wait for book 2.

Book Recommendation!

I absolutely loved Anatoly's Retribution and November feels too far away for Book 2. I loved it so much it inspired me to finish the Chronicles.

I did not think Renee was wrong for wanting the man she loved to open up to her about his feelings. She was right to push him for that. However, I feel Renee needs to be a little bit badass for her man like all the other women are for theirs in this series.

Now I am contemplating reading the whole series again. That is how much I enjoyed this book. I rarely read any book twice. Good job Latrivia Welch.

I have been waiting to read the backstory on Anatoly Medlov for a long time so I was really looking forward to the release of this book. I’m happy to say that I was not disappointed. Of course if you have been a fan of The Medlov series since the beginning like have you’ll enjoy visiting with the family again as I did. Although that made this an enjoyable read, what I enjoyed the most was getting to know Anatoly better and finding out why he was who he has become. In this volume of the series you still get all the action, drama, unforgiving kills we have become accustomed to from The Medlovs but putting the missing pieces of the puzzle together that is the Anatoly that we know and love was what made this story for me. There is still more to learn about him and am anxiously waiting for the next release.

Amazing.

Latrivia this book was worth the wait. I love Anatoly, only a brilliant author can make a reader see the soul of mobsters and believe they have purpose. Big momma 's eulogy was profound and just like it affected the characters, this reader was moved by the message. This was a great installment...see you November 1, Ryan Colt when you will be handled. 10 stars and congratulations again in the handsome addition to the Welch family.

Hot Damnnnnnnnnnnnn!!! When I tell you I love Anatoly and Renee, this first part was everything!

This was a rollercoaster of a first story. We start with a look at the past of Anatoly of how he came to America and what brought him here. This deals with flash backs between the past and the present.

Big Momma has gone on to glory, and it was good to know that she loved her Anatoly. Renee and Anatoly have jumped over a hurdle in their marriage that has been plaguing them and it was so wonderful and emotional to read their breakthrough.

We got some surprises, Anastaysia is alive and her big brother is going to bathe in the blood of all those who caused her harm, he also has a younger brother Anil that has been discovered living in Florida and studying to become a doctor.

This first part is of his story is very emotional and it was well written because Anatoly is always so stoic and rigid accept when it comes to his family. And it was wonderful to see him in his element as a husband and a father.

I am about to start Book Two and can't wait to dive in because in this one all hell is going to break loose.

Well Until My Next Review...Ciao!

Hmmmmm

It was okay I thought it was going to epic but I won't truly judge Anatoly's story until I've read book two. I'm not forsure this book really needed to be two parts but I'll accept it. As for Renee and Anatoly relationship I wasn't a huge fan like how I was in when the couple was first introduced I rolled my eyes alot because I feel like Renee needs to become a bad ass like the rest of the women in Medlov house or else she'll just be a bland character. But besides all of that it wasn't to bad there are so many questions I have and it sucks that I have to wait until November to find out what's going on. What I loved about the book were Anatoly's love for his wife and his daughter his love for them was unconditional and it was awesome to see that he was human.

An OK read. Needs better editing. The glorification of mafia of any kind leaves me cold. Writer needs to find another pony- I'm surprised that everyones' lips are not chapped and bleeding with the amount of smacking of lips everyone seems to do. Enough already...

Setting Stage for Retribution

This was not a book about Anatoly's Retribution, it was the set up for his retribution. I'm a little disappointed in this book ending in a cliffhanger, even knowing there was a book 2. I've read all of the books in the Medlov Crime Family series and the Medlov men books. They were all series but none were cliffhangers.

I bought this book October 6, 2017 and read it then. I never understood why I didn't have Book 2. Rereading this, I realized that I never finished this book and don't know why. There was a lot going on in my life at that time and there are several books that I purchased during that time that I've not read. That would explain why I never finished this book or purchased book 2. After rereading all of the other books made me want to re-read this one.

I know that all the books are rife with mistakes and errors. At first, they were understandable being that the author was an "indie". Rereading them, there's no excuse for the errors. A simple spellcheck would have caught most of the errors. A simple proof by the author should have caught others. Then I realized most of the errors weren't spelled wrong, they were used incorrectly. One of the repeat offenders is "peak" instead of "peek". there's lots of these kind of errors to the point of distraction. Had a grammar check been done, the wrong usage would have caught the majority of the errors. There are so many of these, they have interfered with my enjoyment of the story. Had I not been addicted to the Medlov series, I would have stopped reading or rereading them and would never consider reading another by this author. However, I am not only addicted but curious about what happens with Anil and Anastyia. It is a shame because the author is a gifted storyteller. She could hold off on some of the eroticism. How often can you read that the Medlov men are so Alpha that they have to sex their women into submission. Just the women they love. I guess they're not getting it right the first time because they do it over and over.

This is not one of the best books in the series. I wish I had not read this one. Gabriel Regret 1 and 2 could be the end of the series. I would advise those, who are increasingly irritated by writing errors that should not happen, don't read this one. Then you would not be tempted to purchase the next one as I am. That one will be the end for me.

Renee is even more irritating in this book. She knew exactly who she dated, had sex with, had a child with and married. Anatoly. He never deceived her about who he was or what he did. No, he didn't go into detail about the business which was for her own good and safety. Now, it bothers her because she realized that she's a Christian. Supposedly, she was one all along. She's even concerned with who he was with before her marriage. She knew about Destiny and what Anatoly did to her. Destiny gave her a tape. She knew about Victoria but not her death. She knew what happened to those who betrayed the family.

At that time, she only wanted him to chase her to prove his love. He did and she married him. She didn't know about Briggy. Everyone else in the household did, even the ones who married into the family after her. I wonder why. Probably because she would have held that against him and made him miserable. It had nothing to do with wanting Anatoly to grow. It was about her forgiving him so she could rationalize it for herself. I'll admit that Renee has never been one of my favorites. She hypocritical and judgmental but that's the way the author wrote her character. Okay, she has her own money now so she's demanding that Anatoly change. Where did she did that miney. How did she come to own Dmitry's Closet which led to her other business.? Others that I disliked, I eventually, liked even Briggy, until she deliberately got pregnant. She tried to pass the child off as a Medlov for her own selfish, greedy conniving self. Even shocked by the manner of her death, I shed no tears for her after she walked out of the hospital, leaving her baby and turning on the family.

Loved Anil. Don't know why it took so long for Dmitry to send someone to check him out. How could they not take care of Anil's mother when they knew what was going on. I'm a little disappointed. Anastaysia's background story was a little suspect. Even a little check would have revealed who she was. Now that they know, apparently she's going to use it for her advantage. She would barely talk to Anatoly whose life was changed because he saved her. As an adult she knew but still acted the hypocrite. I still want to read the rest of the story. Hopefully, both Renee and Anastaysia will redeem themselves

Because of the unending errors and a storyline that's weak and character's hypocrisy, I can't recommend this book. Perhaps I'll change my opinion after reading book 2. For those rabid fans, don't use errors in this review to defend Ms. Welch. She's an author

Anatoly's story

Anatoly's was well worth the wait. Thank you Mrs. Welch for such a wonderful detailed story of what has led Anatoly to being the man he is now and why he is the way he is.

Ana is a complex and deep man, who lived a hard life as a child and then was thrown into the mafia world after meeting his dad Dmitry. From rags to riches without being given a chance to adjust to the life. Leaving his family behind in Russia affected Ana deeply which is now causing him to now having problems with his home life and his wife. Renee keeps Ana grounded but his not communicating with her has got her feeling like he's hiding stuff from her making her questioning her place in his life.....does love conquer all?
Meeting Anil has in a way given Ana back the brothers he left behind. Anil is open and unassuming and loves his mother and wants to do the best for her. Ana and Anil share that in common....love of mother above self....that's their bond. Can't wait to see where this will lead them.
Now that Ana knows his sister is near, I hope he tears Miami apart and when does find her he meters out justice to the scrum in the human trafficking trade especially the one who took his sister, the one who has her now and all the johns who bought her services. It's going to be reckoning time soon for all....Ana is going on the war path!
Waiting on pins and needles for book two! 😁

Yeah This Is Good!!!

Let me start off saying thank you ,for bringing back the first family of the UnderWorld!Whenever I read something from this writer and about this family I know its going to be so good.Well I was not disappointed, this story involving Anatoly was so good because in the series he is such an intense character and you don't get to see all sides of his character. In this story we get to see the man and not the "Boss" and it is so refreshing!I love that writer isn't making it all about Dimitri because he is just so larger than life he needs his on story.I love the dynamics of his relationship with his wife and daughter.I love that he wants to keep her sheltered but knows he must take the blinders off. This was such an enjoyable experience and a wonderful way to spend time.I hope that we get to read more about Anil, love the dynamics of Anatoly being a big brother to someone who is not in the business. If you have not taken the time to read about this family then your library is not complete!Oh my goodness the Medlov Family is back!!!Also the ladies need at least two books about this newly formed group, because after all been every great man is an even greater woman.

OMG! I thought I loved Anatoly before!!!

OMG! I freaking loved this book!!! I have been not-so patiently stalking Mrs. Latrivia’s page since the last book with Gabriel and I nearly choked when I saw this book pop up in my recommendation list! Anatoly’s Retribution did not disappoint! To really see how he became the man he is today had me crying all in this book. His hard exterior is (well not completely) cover up the vulnerable and loving man he has always been. I’m glad he found a brother in Anil and cannot wait for the disgusting Ryan to really understand the magnitude of what he brought to his door. Finding yourself one the wrong side of ONE Medlov is to have the full wrath of ALL the Medlovs. People named to learn. Still love me some Dmitry though;)

The Russians are coming!...The Russians are here!

OMG! So worth the wait! Anatoly is going to open a barrel of whipass and Ryan Colt may as well bend over and kiss his ass goodbye now!

Renee is my girl and all but what kills me about Renee is she wants to know every damn thing and when she does, she gets judgmental! She blessed that Anatoly is beyond madly in love with her because she's really a pain in the butt. Glad Anatoly opened up to her but I think it was Anil that helped him do that. They have similar past and for Anatoly to see that he's not alone in that grief, maybe helped him to open up to Renee.

Well I just love me some Anatoly....

Reading this has taking me back to the world of the Medlov Men and Anatoly Medlov is just so sexy, dark and moody and everything you would wish a Russian Mobster to be. His love for Renee, his adorable wife and Alexandria is palpable and you can feel it in every part of the story. The man is just so sexy and even more so when he discusses his feelings with his wife.
I cannot wait for the next part of this story as he looks for his sister, my heart was pounding as I read the last few chapters of this book so I am so prepped and ready for the next instalment. Brilliantly written story which is a definite must read.

Another winner!!!!

I always enjoy reading about The Medlovs and Anatoly and Renee are definitely one of my favourites. The story started with his life at 18 years old in Russia and at times the story gave insights into his past as well where he is in his life today.

He was known as a murderer who happens to be sexy and gorgeous. Women threw themselves at him but his heart belonged to Renee and his daughter. He will stop at nothing to protect his family.

I am anxiously awaiting the second book to clear up the anxiety I felt reading this story. Anatoly's sister and her predicament is one of the reasons for anticipating Book 2.

Get'tm Ana!!!!!

This book is awesome! We see a whole new side of Anatoly that was kept hidden from the naked eye. Renee didn't disappoint at all. We see the beginning stages of her growth, the acceptance, and the deep comment she has for her husband and their marriage. It's the same for Ana too! The passionate love he has for his wife and every single family member he has and gets to know, makes him that much more protective and badass when it's time for his promised retribution when you F**k with his family. Can't wait for part two!!!

I took my time reading this book! Anatoly is my book boo and no one compares to him.

Tattoos and beards! 😍❤️

Mrs. Welch did it again and she did not disappoint. The suspense, humor and love make this series so enjoyable. I do have to say that Renee got to me in this book. It’s like she forgot who she got with and didn’t expect to know he had a life before her. She should know what’s she’s getting into.

I’m so happy to know that we don’t have to wait long for part 2! I know Ana is not about to play games to get his sister back.

Happy reading, friends! ❤️📖

Medlov Magic

Wow,,, Just Wow! I cannot wait to start part two, this series just gets better & better...
I love the authors ability to keep the drama building & all of the characters are so dimensional. Even the children are promising to be quite significant in this series.
Anil, Anastasia & Anya,,,,
This series is so worth the read, I'd love to see it turned into a movie (just to see all of the beautiful characters in screen) but no movie could ever do this series justice...

The problem with these…
The problem with these is they’re dull for the majority of the book then pick up and end when the action takes place. The next one takes a year or two to come out and you get a repeat of the same dullness but at times the author jumps to something new and the issues in the last one are not brought up again. I could’ve sworn in one of these Anya was older and about to be married or engaged or something, in this one she’s still a little girl I’m guessing but not sure. Okay read but these just take too long to want to keep up with what’s going on.

Wow what a ride. The horrors of human trafficking , Anatoly being an loving father and husband but absolutely clueless to the painful memories that he is putting his wife through. I think all of the females young and old in the family are going to love Anil. I can't wait to watch his evolution. And now Miami has the attention of the Medlov men. Daddy Dmitry will not take kindly to someone drugging his son. Come on #6. I can't wait

Anatoly, Anatoly, Latrivia you have done it again, you always stay true to all you're characters, and that is what I love. With each story you tell about the Medlov men, I get carried right back into their world as if time never stopped. I want to see these books in movies. I wish I had the coins to produce them myself so i can see them on the big screen. Thank you so much... P.S. trying to wait patiently for November......

For the love of his man bun ❤️❤️❤️

I can never get enough of the Medlov family especially the men. This book was another amazing read. Although it had its emotional moments it also had exciting news and updates. I hate it ended on a cliffhanger just when it was getting good. The next installment can't come quick enough. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.

Dear Medlovians,

She has done it again! Ms. Welch has let us visit with Anatoly the family man and it was only the beginning of what is sure to be a hot and bloody ride. Renee had to purge and the family is growing. Dmitry will be pleased. I recommend anyone who has already invested in the Medlov family to keep it going. If you are new jump in here but you have to go back. Good thing you have time. November 1st is plenty of time to catch up. You wont be sorry.

Enjoyed!

Anatoly Retribution was more about what he was thinking. I found Renee to be to much of a nag for me. I felt like she knew what type of family she was marrying into. By her not knowing about their business kept her safe. In my opinion she's having Anatoly looking weak, she needs to grow some balls. I loving his brother and can't wait to see were he's going to fit in this family.

Every time I read a book in this series the end comes too quickly. I can't put it down and I don't want it to end. I want to savor it but as I said it's just too good to put down. Some parts were painful to read and I can't wait for Anatoly to meet out retribution.
