A good girl. A bad cowboy. A dirty secret. Ready to figure this one out?
She used to be like my little sister. Now her curves make me choke on my beer. But she’s broke, and I’m the reason. Not that she knows. It’s my secret. I’ll make it up to her though. I’ll offer her a job. To be the live-in nanny at my ranch. I’ll win her for me with my cowboy abs. Seriously, who can resist those? She’ll be screaming for more before she knows it. All I need to do is keep my secret from her. Or she’ll leave.
And I want her to stay.
This is a billionaire romance with a single dad and an innocent girl. It is a stand-alone story with an HEA, so no cliffhangers! Be prepared for panty-melting talk and lots of steam. Most definitely for 18+ readers.
♥ Connor was still the only heir to his father’s billion-dollar legacy & his mother’s only hope for the future.it been 5 short years since Connor been back to the Hamptons & in his opinion would be perfectly fine if he went another 5 years without coming back here.
♥Connor mother was determined to find him a bride. As if the first time around wasn’t good enough. See Connor married one of those debutant, (Natalia). & they had beautiful son together. Natalia divorced him within two years & left their son (Alfie) to be raised by Connor & a house full of servants. So as you can imagine Connor didn’t like when his mother played matchmaker
♥ When Lesley Evans family had lost their fortune, she was preparing for law school. She got into one of those Ivy League school. But her family couldn’t afford it. Now she works mornings at some diner on the Highway & at a gas station at night, just to keep a roof over their heads & food on the table
► Connor hadn’t always be good person.. he was somewhat wild in his 20”s. He dabbled in Investments for a while & he even schemed people out of their hard earn money. Leslie's father no exception, nobody really knew about Connor coned Leslie’s father out of Millions & due to that fact her family lost everything So when the Evans family went bankrupt, Connor didn’t bat an eyelid. He had my own stuff to worry about . . . Natalia & Alfie. .
♥●•Sometimes Lesley like to stops in to Paddy's Pub for a drink after long day of work. So when Connor recognized her when she sat down Connor decide to offer her a job as his nanny for his son
➦The first part of the story felt right & believable, I just didn’t feel like once Lesley went to work for Connor the interactions between Connor & Lesley seemed so fake or just forced - ➦Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

Hungry Cowboy by Charlize Starr is a short, HEA (happily ever after) book. There is no cliff hanger. This ninety-eight page story is about people finding different kinds of love. We meet Connor (the man on the cover), who is a cowboy and a Casanova. This all stops when he meets Lesley. He is ten years older than her and used to babysit her when he was a kid. She becomes a nanny to Conner’s son Alfie. As their relationship blooms, a secret from his past may be a catalyst to their relationship. Read this story to find out not only what happens but also what the important things in life are. I give the book 4 out of 5 stars for the awesome story. I just wish Connor were not clean-shaven on the cover. There is no doubt he is a flutter bum!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Connor is a wealthy bachelor, & father sick of all the fakeness of the Hamptons. So he starts a new life with his son in Texas. Lesley works two jobs just to help her family get by. When her old babysitter offers her a job with no details. The ride is full of lust betrayal. The characters were captivating. I real enjoyed this book.
There was a whole lot packed in this quick read - enjoyed this book so much! Connor came from a wealthy family and his mother wanted him to marry a "socially acceptable girl." He wanted no part of it. Last time he listened to his mother and married, it ended badly. She left him for her lover and abandoned their son to only be raised by Connor. He moved to Texas from the Hamptons and purchased a ranch to raise his son alone. He wasn't even sure why he came back to visit knowing his mother was going to have a party to introduce him to these "acceptable girls." After a quickie with one of these girls, he escaped through his bedroom window and went to the bar he used to frequent. In came Lesley. He used to babysit her - she was their neighbor growing up. Instantly he wanted her and he couldn't believe how good looking she was all grown up. He was instantly hungry for her. He remembered then his secret - it was his fault her family had went bankrupt, even though she didn't know it. The bartender told him how she worked two jobs, as a waitress and a gas station attendant to help support her parents now in a tiny apartment. Guilt swamped him and out of nowhere he walked up to her and offered her a job at his ranch. He gave her his card and told her to call him if she was interested. Lesley had always had a crush on him and a few days later decided what the heck, she'd go for it. Arriving at the ranch, she discovers he wants her to be the nanny to his 7 year old son Alfie. The chemistry between these two is hot and they finally give in to temptation. Connor's son is blossoming under Lesley's care and things seem to be going great. Of course then his secret is discovered and then everything changes. Grab this story now and read what happens. Can Lesley forgive Connor? Can Connor make up for what he did? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I reviewed this book as part of an arc program. I enjoyed this story of a lonely cowboy and his love. Connor was from a very rich family and when he was younger, he worked as a financial advisor without a care on what happened to his clients investments. Lesley was a young woman who used to live next door to Connor's family and was about 10 years younger than him, he used to babysit her. Connor lost all of Lesley's father's money causing them to go bankrupt, now Lesley worked two jobs trying to help her parents. Connor married and had a child with another rich socialite and when they divorced, she left him to raise his son alone. Connor bought a ranch in Texas and bow works for himself and has left the rich lifestyle of the Hamptons behind. On a visit home, Connor offers Lesley a job in Texas, but doesn't tell her the job is being a nanny to his son. When Lesley arrives she feels out of her element and Connor is fighting his desire for her. This was a good quick romance. I liked how Connor wanted Lesley and didn't want to fight it anymore, although when she finds out about him being behind her father's bankruptcy. Good one I really enjoyed, I thought the chemistry between Lesley and Connor was great.
I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. Well this book starts off with a bang..literally and figuratively. Lesley's family had lost their fortune. Now Lesley was working two jobs just to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Connor used to live next door to Lesley's family, he has just returned to his family's home in the Hamptons and he is already ready to go back to his ranch in Texas. When Lesley stops in to Paddy's Pub for a drink Connor recognizes her as the girl he used to babysit. He approaches her with a job offer. Connor is divorced from his socialite wife and has custody of his son Alfie. Connor immediately regrets offering Lesley a job which she accepts. He really only wants her body not a nanny for his son. Connor is bad at relationships, his failed marriage taught him that. When a ranch hand got " handsy" with Lesley, Connor dragged him out and fired him. Lesley hadn't known it but Connor had some blame for her father losing his fortune. This is a short, steamy read. Good pacing, like able characters and a HEA of course.
This book is a form of second chances. Connor comes from a wealthy family and his mother wants him to marry a socially acceptable woman. But in Connor's younger years he made some mistakes and one of those cost his neighbours everything. Another was marrying the woman of his mothers liking. Now 7 years later he's returned home for a visit, and mums still up to her old tricks. Connor leaves and goes to his favourite drink spot, he spots a really attractive girl and then finds out that it's his older neighbour all grown up but is working 2 jobs to make ends meet so he offers her a job. Lesley decides to take a leap and goes to Texas and finds out that she'll be working as a nanny for Connors son. Lesley had a crush on Connor when she was growing up and when things heat up at the ranch well lets just say buy the book and find out what happens. I did receive this book as an arc read and I'm leaving my review voluntarily.
A very rich man is trying make it on his own and truly come into his own while still carrying for his young son as a single father. His ex-wife decided she would rather run off with her lover and live the classy life that isn’t entailed in living as a ranch life style or as heaven forbid a mother. Karma is truly putting a hand in it when while visiting home to his mother he runs into, the not so little anymore, girl next door. She is burning the candle at both ends trying to help her parents make ends meet with two dead end jobs. Will he realize karma is trying to wake him up to his wrongs? Will she be able to forgive him if she finds out the secrets that are being hidden? Have to read the book to find out.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Lesley’s family bankrupted few years ago and she had to stop her studies and start working. What she doesn’t know is that her neighbor, Connor is the reason why his father lost their money. When Connor come back to see his mother, he meets her, feels guilty and offers her a job in his ranch. She will be the nanny of his son. They’re attracted to each other, fall in love until she finds out what he has done. It’s a good well written story, and even if it’s simple, I appreciated the characters and the way their relation evolves after Lesley has found out about his past.

*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
This is a romance that includes elements of personal responsibility and forgiveness. Connor is wary of women after the way his ex treated him and their son, but he feels somewhat responsible for Lesley's current situation so he offers her a job in an effort to help her and assuage his guilt. Their love story has a predictable path, but there are a few obstacles they have to get through first. The writing is good, the characters are well-developed and the plot moves smoothly. It's a sweet story with quite a bit of steam and a HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Connor, left his family and home town after his marriage with a high society woman ended. The only thing they had in common was the background and a son. Connor is not interested in that and keaves to make a better life for his son and himself. When attending a party by his mother he meet Lesley, a daughter to the man he helped to loose all his money.... This was a sweet romance story. You got a connection with both Connor and Lesley and not to forget Alfie.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Have you ever read a collection of shorts all by the same author? As you read, each story sounds just like the previous one, only the names were changed? Well that's not what get with Charlie Starts book "Hungry Cowboy. There are eleven wonderfully written love stories that revolves around kids. Each story is the beginning of romance, leading into hot sex, to become married. When reading this book I thought I was reading different authors, but it turned out to be one author. Good job to the author.
Hero, Connor = 5/5 Heroine, Lesley = 5/5 Secondary Characters = 5/5 Chemistry = 4/5 Sex = 4/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 1/5 Action = 1.5/5 Darkness = 1/5 Humor = 1/5 Stars = 4 ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Would I recommend this book = Yes Would I read future books by this author = Yes
Sweet and sexy all wrapped in one novella. Connor & Lesley are cute together especially when you throw Alfie into the mix. They do make such a sweet family. This novella has likeable characters and the plot is doable. It was fairly predictable but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Connor offers Lesley a job to make up for his role in her family's financial issues. Their attraction complicates matters. Neither is sure if they can make a relationship work or if they should.
It is a quick read. I like cowboys so I was intrigued by Connor. He seems like a good guy who tries to do the right thing but makes some poor choices. Lesley is pretty young and not really confident in her choices.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! This was an interesting story. Connor did a very bad thing that affected a lot of people. Lesley had to survive the best she could. It was a story about 2nd chances + redemption. Loved the storytelling + the characters. The author does it again with another wonderful book.
Hot chemistry between two people from different backgrounds. Connor is raising his son alone because his ex wife left them for her lover. Lesley is working two jobs to support herself and her parents. Connor and Lesley get close but he has a secret. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.
An HEA, thank goodness. Sexy romp with a hot cowboy, and the girl he used to babysit? Oh yeah! The characters were perfect together. Reading the Hungry Cowboy makes you want to find your own tree to visit, and your own hunky cowboy to rope. Wink, wink. I received this arc and voluntarily am submitting my review.
3.5 stars The parts I didn't like were balanced fairly well by the parts I did. I needed more explanation for the male leads change in behavior and the part at the beginning with another woman (before 'meeting' the female lead) was just icky and made him look like he was still an a**. ***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
An entertaining, quick read. The characters are likable and have good chemistry and the story line is interesting, if a bit rushed. I would've liked a little more story, but all the elements are there and I did enjoy the read.
Lesley and Connor are two completely different people but the scorching heat between them is off the charts! I enjoyed the give and take that was evident in the story.
A short & quick good read. Connor, who used to babysit Lesley, hires her to be his son's nanny. Connor and Lesley have great chemistry and make for some hot & steamy scenes. Overall a great, fun story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
A quick hot read. The characters were good and had chemistry. The story was well written. Connor starts off as a bit of a player but when Lesley comes on the scene he starts to change for the better. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Really good read I enjoyed. Put together a troubled relationship with lies, attraction, excitement, suspense and much more and you have this book. I keeps your attention and is sweet in a way. I recommend it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Betrayal sucks! Especially from someone you care deeply for! I love how it gets solved though. There is nothing better than being with the one you love.
Enjoyed reading it! Thank you, Charlize Starr! You are amazing!
