Grim Resentment:

Rate this book
In the bloody aftermath of the slaughter at Lab 14, Duncan Breckner escaped with as many the synthetically created children as he could. He raised them with love and kindness, something the young government experiments had never truly known. But another Synth escaped.

Without anyone to help him, to guide him, bitter at being left behind, Charlie Reed grew up angry. Furious at the world that created him and destroyed his life, he’s set out on a murderous mission to end the experiments once and for all. Using his unique gift, he travels the world, targeting anyone who possesses superhuman powers. And now he has his sights set on Shawn, Duncan, and the rest of the Synths.

If you have read Grim Judgement, you need to read this one! And if you haven't read Grim Judgement, stop what you are doing and go read it! Resentment is a thrilling insight into Charlie. The font is different and askew, because Charlie is different and askew, and just.... crazy. And yet, you can't help but take your eyes from the page, you HAVE to know what he is going to do next. This is a MUST read for anyone reading the Grim Trilogy series!

Peek into the mind of a serial killer. Charlie has some serious issues. But this is a great background into the tertiary characters of the Grim Universe. Jennifer Reinfried's ability to switch writing styles based on the characters perspective is truly amazing to me. I feel as though I'm getting to know true, individual people rather than creations from a single mind. Outstanding read.

Welcome to the thoughts of a true psycho. We are introduced to the events in which Charlie is introduced. Different font different writing style and a very excellent short story. His goal and power scares me by far. If he is victorious in his mission. He will be the most vile of the villains. Excellent read
