“Damion, I don’t want to do this, okay. It won’t work.” “Just hear me out, okay?” Sharee` gazed into his eyes. He had the most gorgeous eyes. She knew in her heart that she should have just kept on walking and ignored any lie that would escape the lips of Damion. But for some reason, he had her complete and undivided attention. She folded her arms. “Okay, okay, talk, I’m listening.” Damion smiled. “I’d rather show you,” he told her, walking towards her. Sharee` didn’t have time to react before Damion’s lips were pressed against hers. For a moment, she forgot where she was or who was around. His lips were so soft, so sensuous. She placed her hands up to his chest as his hands went around her waist. He still was an excellent kisser. But what was she doing? She was married. “I have to go!” she managed to say as she pushed Damion away and took off running down the hall. Damion stood laughing, watching as she ran away. It wouldn’t be long before his plan would be in full force. Sharee` ran back to Jeremy’s office and slammed the door shut behind her. She had to catch her breath. What in the world was Damion thinking? And what in the world could she have been thinking to let herself kiss him back. “I can’t believe this,” she whispered to herself, placing her hand up to her chest. She had felt a fire ignite inside of her that she hadn’t felt in a long time. But there was no way she could act on it, right? Married women didn’t act on the ignition of another man. It was morally wrong. So why was there something about Damion that screamed at her, telling her to give him a shot? Then there was a knock on the door. “Who is it?” she asked, hoping that her voice sounded normal. “Damion. I really need to talk to you.” Sharee` closed her eyes and shook her head. Then, she turned to open the door. Damion stood before her, one hand in the pocket of his pants, the other behind his back. “What do you want, Damion?” she asked, tears streaming down her face. “Look, I ain’t goin’ nowhere. You can’t fire me either ‘cause I ain’t done nothing wrong. Why can’t chew just accept the fact that we got something’. We got history. The moment I saw you again, I knew that I couldn’t live without chew.” Sharee` began to cry harder. Damion continued to speak. “You are the love of my life, Sharee`. I need chew. Ain’t no other woman for me.” “Damion, I’m married!” she exclaimed, waving her ringed finger in front of his face, “I can’t do this. I am in love with my husband.” Damion stepped inside the office and pushed the door shut behind him. He hovered over Sharee`, his eyes beaming down at her. He reached his hand up over her head, resting his open palm on the closed door. “If you love your husband so much, why did you kiss me?”
