Hi, I’m Ryan Ringbloom, a Jersey girl who doesn’t write Alphas. I couldn’t if I tried. Social Media stresses me the frick out, yet I can’t seem to walk away from it. I love to binge watch TV. I think cats are awesome. I’m obsessed with coffee and Fireball. But never together. I am counting down the days until self-driving cars are the norm. And if there is ever a zombie apocalypse, I won’t even try to run. I will let the first one I see eat my brain and get it over with.

Our heroine has been obsessively checking out the ex on the infamous FaceBook. Her sister decides to take away her phone and laptop for awhile to break her of the habit. Now she has time for romancing a hot new love interest. Of course he’s known her for awhile because she was his son’s third grade teacher.
Cute little Christmas romance.

Audible: Charley Ongel and Tor Thom narrators! It doesn't get any better than this pair!

When Lindsay’s sister forcefully removes her from her online life, she is lost. Everything has been about social media, texts, and shopping. But now she’s expected to live her life until Christmas completely disconnected from her technology habits. The good thing about this it is brings her into Seth’s sphere and from there things take off.

This is a fast, hot and steamy listen that will help you reach your sexy Christmas itch. Both these narrators do an excellent job and I love that even when in the heroine’s POV Tor Thom speaks the hero’s dialogue and vice versa. This is definitely worth checking out for those times you want a little something to entertain.

Listened to the audiobook narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. I loved the concept of Lindsay being addicted to Internet stalking her ex and her sister taking matters into her own hands by ruining Lindsay's phone and taking her computer. I really like Seth. He was a sweetheart and the romance with him and Lindsay was great. It was different to see it develop without technology since that is very rare now. I enjoyed the narration too. It was my first listen from these two and they did a really good job. I will be sure to look for more from this author and these narrators.

Lindsay and Seth's journey was a wonderment of a surprise by far.
This couple is amazing I have to say. With a constant turning of twists Lindsay becomes disconnected from all social media outlets, by her sister of all people.
Sometimes being disconnected is what we all need at one time or another. Social media has become not only an outlet for most, but the inner circle that of friends, family far and near we never realize how much we depend on the internet till we have it no more. Lindsay made it work for her if it wasn't for not having it she might not get her happily ever after, then again does she?
Seth is a magnificent man that is understanding, sexy, a great dad, but at the same time he is like a rubik's cube that needs to be put together in just a certain order to make him complete. With the past in his present for the rest of his life he needs to find the happy medium with Lindsay which isn't easy when one doesn't have the cell phone, nor email well she does, but doesn't. You will have to pick up the book to find out more.

This author is just an amazing writer that will bring you to tears in one chapter, and then in the next have you laugh till you can't laugh anymore, but then again she will also have you frustrated in a happiness of ways.

It is so easy to get caught up in online everything. Shopping, social media, even parties are now on line. Disconnecting is a great way to bring us back into the real world and to enjoy life. This is the exact gift Lindsey's sister gives her. Lindsey has been following her ex on social media and just wallowing in her pain. When she no longer has a computer or phone to turn to, she decides to go to a party. Forgetting the name of rhe room she should be at, she sits down in the wrong event. But her wrong turn led her straight to Mr. Right, or Seth. Seth remembers Lindsey as his son's teacher so the relationship starts out awkward. But in time there is nothing awkward about it. Lindsey and Seth seem to be the perfect match each one was waiting and searching for.

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are a great duet. Their voices are easy and fun to listen to. Tor Thom's deep, baritone voice is a wonderful contrast to Charley Ongel's sweet, soft voice. This duet team truly makes the story come to life. It was like watching a play in my mind's eye. They truly brought each character to life. This book is well worth a listen. I could not put it down.

Well, this was ridiculously sweet and adorable. I fell head over heels for the sweet quirkiness of Lindsay. And Seth? Well, Seth with his 10 year old son and his own business? He's just the right kind of package for me.

And for Lindsay. He's sweet and kind and flirty and fun and he has a dog and a kid and his own business.
What's not to love?

The answer is nothing. He's the greatest guy. The kind of guy you want to bring home to your parents. The kind of guy you want to spend forever with.

Get Disconnected and see what it's like to really date someone. It'll be fun. And you might even be able to find your forever.

**I listened to the audio of this and I am totally smitten with Charley Ongel and Tor Thom. I'm pretty sure they can send me anything and I'll listen to it.

Ryan Ringbloom has a holiday hit with this story, and I think he is spot on with the message! In this world of technology, the worst feeling is being disconnected. With no phone or computer, Lindsey, who we met in The Two Night, One Night Stand, enters the holiday depressed after obsessing over social media. Now being free, her life takes a new turn. Meeting Seth, the father of one of her previous students changes her life. But once reconnected to the digital age, will she be able to put aside her obsession? A picture is worth a thousand words, the question is which words will she hear when she starts to surf? There is so much truth to this fun story, and it's impossible not to fall in love with this cast. Ringbloom writes so it is easy to connect and relate to the feelings of the characters and puts you right in the holiday spirit.

Bringing this to life, Tor Thom and Charley Ongel give the story a fun and flirty feel. I love Tor Thom's ability to perform Ethan's young voice with crediblity and then switch to an adult male with ease. Charley Ongel provides the duet narration of Lindsey with the right amount of angst. I loved her performance of Lindsey's sister, giving that matter-of-fact advice with confidence! This is a fun listen.

Happy Holidays to Me

I always get excited when I find a new Ryan Ringbloom book! Ever since I found this wonderful author, I have devoured each book as quickly as possible. The best thing about every single book is the important underlying message you feel deep down. I loved how using social media as an evil created a beautiful love story! Finding the alert for this new book was definitely the best Christmas gift I could've received!

Cute short story. I got distracted by how much I would have killed my sibling if they did that to me. I get it, but destroying an $800 piece of equipment with all my personal stuff on it would never be the right choice.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. It was well worth the read/listen and especially as an introduction to Ryan Ringbloom. I never realized how being disconnected could open a person's eyes to what is going on around them. We do get so involved in our electronics that we miss what is right in front of our noses. Taking a break could be hard but well worth it, from the story. Loved the characters and the narrators are awesome. The more I listen to them, the more I want to hear more of them.

A fantastic pair of narrators. I'd previously heard them together on a different Christmas story and immediately fell in love with their voices. I would definitely listen to them again.

The story is really cute, and the author does a good job explaining the characters' stakes and personal damage. The romance is definitely fast, but it's believable. Fun. Give it a listen.

I had a wonderful time listening to this audiobook. At first, I thought that it was just okay, but the performance and the message it was trying to convey won me over. Plus, it was a whole lot wholesome than her other book, Two-night One-night Stand.

This was a sweet, very easy read (I almost finished it in one sitting when I was poorly post Christmas). I thought the focus would be more on the challenge of being disconnected from social media, but it didn't really focus on that which was a little disappointing.
The characters were likeable and the story was realistic. It can be a little 'risque' in places and there are some frank discussions about sex so not suitable if you are a prude! I could see this book as a good rom-com movie, there is definitely scope for improvement and filling out the storyline.
A cutsie, easy read if you are looking to pass a few hours with a modern romance style book.

Light romantic comedy

With the way Lindsay's previous relationship ended, I can understand questioning herself and wondering how she could have missed it. I can also understand why she would "stalk" Justin online. However, a few years after the relationship ending and her still being obsessive over him is not healthy. The sad thing is, there are probably real people who do that who have a hard time letting go. When her sister intervenes, Lindsay has no choice but to disconnect. She ends up meeting Seth, a guy who knows her but she doesn't know him. When she finds out who he is, she is ok with it and ends up having fun and begins to live her life again. Seth is already half way in love with her when he runs into her at a Christmas party. They begin a whirlwind romance which has Lindsay happy that her sister intervened. However, when she connects online again, she has a new obsession which has the potential of sabotaging what she has with Seth. A chance encounter with Justin has her rethinking her relationship with Seth. I wish the book had been longer be caused I loved reading these characters. Parts of the book had me laughing and shaking my head. Overall, it was a quick read but a quite enjoyable one

Although this is definitely a rom-com, Ryan Ringbloom has managed to touch on something that has plagued me all my life. "What will other people think?"; "What if I am not good enough, pretty enough, sexy enough, smart enough?"; The power of insecurities and how social media has an enormous influence on them. Lindsay is living her life vicariously through social media, envying the lives of her friends through their posts and pictures. In walks her sister who takes her phone and laptop to force Lindsay to live her life again. By chance, Lindsay meets Seth who rocks her world right from the start. Of course, when her electronics are returned, so do her insecurities. Will the feelings she and Seth share be enough to see her through? Funny and yet soul searching for me, this book sheds a whole new light on how much we allow the internet to rule our lives. You have nailed this one Ryan Ringbloom!

This was a cute, funny Christmas novella. Lindsay is from the One Night, Two Night Stand series (Justin's ex). I really liked her getting her own story. Lindsay was really scarred from a marriage to her gay high school boyfriend. Definitely gun shy. When she runs into Seth, a parent of a former student, she finally is taking a leap of faith into the dating pool. These two are so adorable together. Her sister, Caroline, drives me over the edge. She is CRAZY! But at the same time she's the sane person who forces Lindsay to disconnect from her social media obsessing. I have a love/hate relationship with Caroline. Ryan Ringbloom seems to create characters that push my buttons but at the end, leave a little stamp on my heart.

Everyone should be a little disconnected once in a while

Take away the one connection we have all become so accustomed to having attached to our lives and for some their very soul, and suddenly one is left to figure out how to actually connect IRL; what, yikes!

Two people meet..or was it met...occasional flashback drama leads to self-doubt, connection to/with exes and more self-doubt, steamy school parking lot, more sexual tension, plans that go awry as often is the case and suddenly the thing that made a human connection possible now puts it in jeopardy...a fun quick read about a teacher, a past student, his parents, and how to stop getting sucked into social media and actually SEE people, real live humans, not the image they all do desperately want to present....

Super cute.

And it has dogs.

Teacher is three years into a divorce (ex was gay). She's been stalking the ex and his new life, including marriage, etc. and her sister thinks this is unhealthy and throws her phone into a fishbowl. She's three weeks away from upgrading and now three weeks disconnected from social media and other methods of communicating.

The meet cute with Seth is fun -- she accidentally crashes the wrong party -- and it turns out he's the dad the she used to email with when his kid was her student. He's really into her, which is fun to read, but the lack of a phone causes drama all around.

If this wasn't so cute I'd find her in need of therapy (not that the two are mutually exclusive).

**I received an advanced reader copy from NetGalley but all opinions and typos are my own.**

A sweet, sexy, easy read, and a fun change from the Christmas books I usually read! Quick dialogue, appealing, relatable characters and steamy scenes really add up to a book that holds appeal year round (so don't let the "christmas" in the title sway you from a read in sunny May.)

Taking a break from the cellphone was a fun hook while sending a nice reminder that we could all use to take a break from social media - reflecting on our obsession with it and how we use it as a mirror we hold up to the world (and the world's opinions.)

Ringbloom's writing was saucy and fun! Looking forward to more from the author.

Ryan Ringbloom has a way of writing a story that I find myself connecting to the characters and thinking 'I totally do that'! Her spin on complicated circumstances is lighthearted and often downright funny. Poor Lindsay has been dealt a crappy hand, but her sister won't allow her to wallow in self pity while she stalks her ex's social media, and forces her to disconnect! Seth has been enamoured with Lindsay from afar for quite awhile so when they finally meet, purely by chance in the form of an awkward mistake at a Christmas party, he takes the opportunity given to get to know her. This sexy and hilarious story was so much fun to read!

Loved it!

I highly recommend Ryan Ringbloom's latest book! It was so well written. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed every page of it. This is a fantastic Christmas story that can be read year round. The co-parenting story line was such a nice change for a romance book and I thought the ending was beautiful!!

This is my first book from this author. Won't be my last. I loved the writing and it was an adorable story about a woman who disconnects from social media and finds a love she didn't know and things blossom. Loved the narration as always. Tor and Charley do a great job bringing the story to life. This story opens your eyes to challenge yourself once in awhile to be away from the social media. You never know what you may find. Great story indeed! xo

A Disconnected Christmas by Ryan Ringbloom was a great book. Lindsey’s marriage didn’t work out and her sister told her she needed to disconnect from her new internet addiction. Lindsey meets Seth during this disconnection. I enjoyed reading Lindsey and Seth’s story.
