This is Book 4, the final book in the a rock star Romance series.
“It’s amazing how differently you can see something after leaving it alone for a while and then revisiting it later”. ~ Rachel Wolchin
Autumn’s impulsiveness and bad behavior is wearing on Jasper’s nerves. Although his fans adore her, they don’t see the wild child behind closed doors. He knows her drinking is getting out of control, and she doesn’t seem to want to stop. Hailey is busy with her new client. She doesn’t have the time to devote to Jasper, but still she keeps his positive image intact with the media.
As Autumn continues to lose control, will Jasper have the patience to want to stay by her side? Or will he try to win back Hailey’s attention? Will he have a chance of rekindling the flame that once burned bright with Hailey? Or will he discover that she had grown tired of waiting for him to make a decision and has moved forward with her life?
This series contains some adult situations. 18+, mature audiences recommended.
New Adult Romance author. Reading was my earliest passion, often seeking the sanctuary of my room or the library to read everything I could get my hands on. I penned romantic poetry in high school and was winning school awards for my short stories at 16. In college I would hibernate in the library for days at a time, consuming every short story and novel I could find.
I probably drink too much coffee and eat too much junk food, but to compensate do like running and rollerblading outdoors when the weather is nice. I'm a hopeful romantic who prefers stories with a happy ending. You can often find me in a library or coffee shop working on my next story, or with my nose in a book.
Hailey and Jasper get a fitting conclusion to the series and I really liked it. The antics of the women in Jasper's life continued, getting a bit harried at times but they sometimes caused me to laugh at their absurdity. As previously stated, I also liked the narrator.
So we finally reach the end of Hailey and Jasper's story. The book starts with Jasper and Hailey arriving back at his place only to find a very drunken and barely dressed Autumn. Hailey leaves Jasper to take care of his girlfriend. Jasper, even though he's annoyed with Autumn, latches on to one drunken sentence and decides that the two might be able to have a real relationship. Over the next few days Hailey picks up a new client, the first good female/actress in the book, and her only dealings with Jasper are over his social media account and the telephone (where he's rude to her). When they do meet up at an event, he's once again with a drunk, out of control Autumn. Tara is also there. This brings me to my favorite scene in the book. I do love nasty bit***s at each other's throats. The night ends with both girls in handcuffs (and not for fun), Jasper singing the song he wrote for Hailey, and Tara threatening Jasper with another scandal. Still Jasper stays with Autumn. It's not until he witnesses her doing something that crosses a line for him that he finally breaks up with her. And of course decides that he must have Hailey. After several misinterpreted moments, Hailey and Jasper hash things out with a street-side screaming match. Do they get together and have hot, monkey sex? Do they have a HEA? Does Jasper die a stupid, lonely man with a full library of sex tapes with all of the starlets and groupies he's slept with? Does Hailey run away with the doorman and send Carl an annual family picture? Does Tara marry her plastic surgeon? Do Bill and Matthew get married once they decide that no one else could ever be good enough for them? You will just have to read to find out!
I did like the character development by Hailey The shy, insecure doormat found her confidence and learned to stand up for herself and feel good about who she was and how she looked. Her response to Tara and Autumn was brilliant! Jasper didn't grow up at all in my eyes unfortunately. He remained shallow, self centered, and selfish. I wish I could believe in Jasper and Hailey, but I can't imagine this man fully committed. He's too easily distracted by a shiny girl in stilettos and a short skirt. I don't feel like he deserved Hailey or that forever was in his vocabulary. Sorry! I did very much like the new characters Kaira and Peter, the development of Dustin and Missy, and the team of Autumn and Lil Mouth. I am happy that we managed to reach a finale and that we have an idea of everyone's future.
Managed 4 A Rock Star Romance By: Clarissa Carlyle Narrated by: Laurie West
I was so excited to get this book! The fourth in the Managed series giving us the outcome of Jasper and Hailey! We pick up right where we left off, and everything is a bit crazy. Autumn continues down her destructive path, but Hailey is determined not to let it effect the reputation of Jasper. We still have Tara wreaking havoc and Dustin and Missy are still working out their differences. Clarissa Carlyle wraps it all up with some surprises and excitement. I love these characters. Each has developed over the series and had me grow some strong feelings for them. Some I loved, some I loved to hate! The story is fun, flirty and exciting, and it just made my heart warm as I listened. Each episode had me looking for more and the finale is awesome! Plus we even have a mention of Jemma! I love crossovers! This is a great summer listen and you should add it to your list.
Laurie West brings it all home with her fantastic narration. Each voice, consistent throughout the series and I just love her Aussie accent. She does an amazing job and I always look for more of her!
I just have no words for how amazing this book was, I have enjoyed reading this series so much and I think Clarissa Carlyle has done it justice. The characters are loveable and you just can’t help but fall in love with the story. Clarissa has done it again, she always manages to write such amazing books/ series. If you haven’t picked up the first book of this series, then you are seriously missing out. I just can’t find the words to explain how truly good this book was. I do feel though that Hailey got justice in the end and that things worked out in her favour, but what and how things did, I’m not going to say as it would ruin it all for you.
I love how Hailey got a lot stronger when it comes to this book, she isn’t afraid to put people in their places, in my eyes, this just makes me love her all that much more. It’s always amazing when you see a female character not willing to sit there and take all the slack but would much rather tell people what’s what. Clarissa did a really good job with Hailey.
Managed 4 is the conclusion to a marvellous Rock Star Romance, and I'm sad to see it end. Clarissa Carlyle is an incredible storyteller and a master at creating drama. She draws all kinds of emotions from her readers/listeners. The characters are wonderfully-developed, realistic, and three-dimensional. I loved the dynamics and electrifying chemistry between Hailey and Jasper, I couldn't get enough. Their story was utterly addictive, I was hooked from the very start. The ending was fabulous, everything unfolded and came together perfectly.
Laurie West did a fantastic job with the narration, capturing the nuances of the characters and their connection while expressing the emotions. Overall, Managed 4 was a satisfying listen, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I'm definitely recommending this audiobook.
"Managed 4" is the final book of the amazing series by Clarissa Carlyle. The last book ended with a cliffhanger where someone broke into Jasper's room. Well it's only Autumn ruining the evening because everyone is surely waiting for Jasper to come clean about his feelings. Clarissa keeps us waiting and you want to shake up Jasper for being so stupid, thinking about giving Autumn a try. Hailey is busy with her new client Kaira so she is late to Jasper's event where Autumn and Tara are getting into a catfight. The drama continues from there but maybe there's still hope on a happy end 😉
This was the perfect final book in the Rock Star Romance series. Once I started reading, I knew I wouldn't be able to put the book down until I read the final word. I loved the way Ms. Carlyle tied up Jasper and Hailey's story and look forward to reading more from this talented author. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book and liked it so much I purchased a copy for my keeper library.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This book is the final book of this series. Jasper finally sees Autumn true colors and dumps her. He figures it's time to own up to his feelings for Hailey. Only when he goes to tell her, he finds her out with Matthew having a great time. This was such a good series. I can't recommend it enough. Thanks for a great read!
I received an ARC of this book for my honest review. I really loved this book, I am glad it all worked out the way I had hoped for Jasper and Hailey. Really just a fun read.
So the conclusion of this 4 part set and Hailey and Jasper finally get their HEA. I must say while I believe that Hailey's character developed throughout these four books - she was no longer the shy girl that people could walk all over and I didn't see the character development in Jasper. He still irked me at times and I felt that he might have stayed with Autumn if he hadn't caught her doing lines with his bad mate. I was happy that Hailey finally got up the nerve to yell at Jasper and confront him on all of his sh*t. There were a few others parts of the book that I think wrapped up quickly like Matthew finding the woman who turns him around and Missy and Dustin all of a sudden becoming the happy little family. This was a good series and I would recommend it to others to read but get them all at once if you hate cliff hangers. I was given this book an am leaving an honest voluntary review.
Sorry to see this series end. I felt sorry for Hailey. She was never taken seriously by her boss but she never gave up doing the best she could. Jasper had feelings for her but was warned to stay away from her by her boss. He didn't realize that his feelings were returned either. He was involved with Autumn but she only wanted to be a bad girl. He finally saw her for what she was and decided to end it.
I liked how Clarissa Carlyle developed Hailey from the shy girl to one of strength. She went from her frumpy clothes to stylish ones. They say that clothes sometimes makes the person. Here it gave Hailey confidence. Especially when she told Jasper about her feelings for him. It was great when they both admitted to their feelings to each other. All in all Managed series was a very enjoyable read.
***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** A great read. Hailey waited in the hall as Jasper enters his apartment only to find Autumn inside in a nightie and matching heels. She was falling down drunk still holding the bottle of vodka she had pilfered from Jasper's stash. He takes the bottle puts on the couch and Hailey decides she should leave. She sees that Jasper cares for Autumn and it hurts her. These two keep getting their signals crossed. When Jasper goes to let Hailey know his feeling for her, she's with Matthew. When Hailey goes to tell Jasper her feelings for him he thinks she's come to tell him she's back with Matthew and he throws her out. They finally get it together and then Tara and Autumn have a knock down drag out fight and get arrested. A great ending to a great story. They finally managed to get together!
The conclusion to the story of Jasper and Hailey has come in book 4 of the Managed series. The drama continues for the bad boy rock star with his current girlfriend Autumn and his ex, Tara. More issues for the band members but will we see a happy ending for one of them? I received a copy of this book and have voluntarily written an honest review. I did feel that this book was a bit rushed or too short, as I would have like a bit more for the final installment of this series. I did like the fact that it didn’t just end like most books after we get the first glimpse of an HEA, we did get a bit more story conclusion of some of the other characters as well. Overall I think this series should be one book altogether as a reader it would have been more enjoyable that way. My full review can be found at www.readingfortheloveofbooks.com
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This last in the series brings the story (3 other books) to a great conclusion. The question was whether Hailey and Jasper realize their love for each other. Jasper has personal issues he has to decide on (Autumn) and Hailey has the decision to wait around on Jasper or forget him and move on with Matt. The author doesn't disappoint. She brings the listener/reader in and doesn't let go until the very end. Glad to experience this rock star romance with a happy ending. The narrator did a good job with the characters and their personalities.
I loved finally getting to find out what's going to happen between these two. All their misunderstandings and stupid mistakes (that a lot of couples make) made it a bit entertaining and worth the wait, but I'm really happy that it's over. What I'm really happy for is that I'm not famous so I don't have to go through all the extra drama poor Jasper has to and that I don't work where I have to clean up all the stupid messes like Hailey gets paid to do. Clarissa really did an amazing job n the entire series.
This is book 4 of the series which I was given as an ARC copy for an honest review Each book is short with a cliff hanger except for book 4 It is a story about a PR agent who manages actors ,actresses and musicians .In this case Hailey manages a rockstar Jasper who is part of a group called "The Weeds" He has been losing contracts after a romance turned sour . Hailey is in charge of getting his reputation restored. The story is fast moving and though each book is short there are other incidents which help make the book interesting . A fast moving romance
Autumn got the bad girl image she craved. Jasper found out out what she really is like behind closed doors. Until at a major awards her hidden problem was revealed in public. He has to make the choice, does he really want to stay with Autumn as she brings him down?or does he try to go back with Hailey and forget about the consequences? This is the epic conclusion to this story. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to.Well done! Laurie West narration is very good, Her ability to transition from one character to the other is flawless. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.
Characters don't feel real. Description of what's happening is off as to where they are, how they respond. The kid deal was not real, making someone responsible with no proof, not happening. His accident was confusing as to what happened to him then in days from release his PR has him all over the place with two casts for stupid stuff. Don't think writer knows much about the music or PR business. Where is the crutches he would have to use or the fact she took him to work with her. What is this adults or kids? Many scenes in this group are poorly written.
Hailey is tired of hiding her feelings from Jasper. No matter how hard she tries to convince him Autumn is bad news he just thinks she's jealous. After a disastrous event with Tara and Autumn being detained by security, will things calm down or go from bad to worse. I wanted to choke Autumn and Matthew in this one. Great conclusion to the books. I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book for a honest review.
Overall I enjoyed this story. It was written in 4 parts. I really enjoyed the beginning of the story. Then it got kind of crazy. I didn't like how Jasper claimed to like Hailey but yet he was dating and sleeping with other women. Especially, because he went for crazy chicks. That whole drama kind of ruined it for me. However, they got together in the end so it made it a lot better.
After the cliffhanger of part four, I thought that is couples relationship was definitely on again. This pair seem to have a hard time staying on the same page. I really enjoyed reading about this couple. Their trials and tribulations were definitely unique. In the end, everyone got what they wanted. Good and bad.
We finally made it. A conclusion to this 4 part story and it comes to an end, wrapping up the story line on a satisfying ending. Even despicable Matthew somewhat redeems himself. Now is the time to buy, all four parts are available, and you can read straight through. This was a hard fought battle for Hailey and Jasper, but it's well worth the heartache to get to the end.
This review will cover Books 1 - 4 - Each book is approx 80 + pages and reads like a mini soap opera that may have appeal in the YA set, for me not so much. This Author tried to write a book with a really good premise but even fiction should be based on an iota of reality. Three books lead to MAJOR SPOILER
- nowhere H/h get together (have sex) admit they love each other - The end.
This is a wonderful ending to the series, but l will miss Jasper and Hailey but am sure this is a series I will revisit. I'm looking forward to reading many more books by Clarissa. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I enjoyed this book just as much as the others it was the conclusion to Hailey and Jasper's story and it kept me enthralled no spoilers but it's a definite must read can't wa for more books from this author I volunta reviewed an advance copy of this book.
So. Authors need to write about things they know or do extensive research. They should try and not have two characters with the same name, gets mighty confusing. Proof read, proof read, proof read! Even if novel is meant to be a ‘fun, light-hearted’ read characters need to have some depth.
Finished but not forgotten: A wonderful conclusion to the trials and tribulations as all the pieces fall into place. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
