I'm supposed to take her life. I'm going to take her body instead.
They call me a Saint, but I’m a f**king sinner.

Ruthless. Coldhearted. Killer. I was young when my parents took off and left me alone to fend for my two younger brothers. I learned to survive. I learned to fix problems, by any means necessary.

Which is exactly what I do for the Dark Saints - the Irish crime family that raised me as their own. I make the secrets stay in the shadows. I make the bodies disappear. I make the problems go away. I owe them that much.

That is, until she walks in and sees me with a smoking gun in my fist and blood on my hands.

Sierra Hammond - the kind of good girl who wants to pretend she’s bad by hanging out in the rough parts of town. But this time, she stepped into the wrong bar and ran into the wrong man.

I know the rules, and I know letting her walk out of there alive breaks every single one of them. But one look into those big brown eyes, and one touch of those sweet curves writhing and fighting against me, and I know I’m done.

I’ll start a war.

I’ll break every vow.

I’ll move heaven and hell to make her mine.

F**k the rules, I’m taking her instead.

Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Aubrey Irons enjoys writing about bold, sassy, and intelligent women and the hot, cocky, and quite typically forbidden bad boys who love and lust for them. Gripping stories, guaranteed happy ever afters, and LOTS of heat.

In the real world, Aubrey is kept plenty entertained by her own favorite bad boy husband, their two adorable kiddos, and the world's most ill-behaved puppy.

I've read several books by Aubrey Irons and
this is my favorite! I enjoy her writing style the ways she writes her characters, there always likeable no matter if there good or bad.

I seriously loved Sierra from the second she set her ex boyfriends equipment on fire, lol. The second Sierra and Connor spot each other across the club there's a connection until Sierra finds herself at the wrong place at the wrong time and witnesses a crime at the hands of Connor.

I loved Sierras fighting spirit, she was stronger then she gave herself credit for and Connor was great to me, so protective of Sierra. He literally broke all his rules to keep her safe.

If there is one thing you can be sure of from Aubrey Irons is a story that is complete with the emotions and scenes jumping at you from the pages and this one is no exception and my favourite so far from this author. It is heart pounding action with some suspense, steamy scenes that will make your toes curl and palms sweat, and a hot alpha bad man with a dark past with only one woman who can break through his walls who happens to be a "good girl", who he will protect with everything he is.....what more do you want.
This story is about Sierra from the Shelter Harbor series and Connor from Bloodlines told from both POV's (which I love) and an attraction that is immediate when they first eye each other in a bar and once I started reading it, I couldn't put down till I was done. I can't rave enough about this book and author....even though I recieved an ARC I had to buy it....KUDOS to Aubrey Irons.

I voluntary reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! I really enjoyed this book. You can never go wrong with one of Ms Irons' books. This was a crossover book with Sienna from the Shelter Harbor Series and what looks to be the beginning of the Dark Saint Series. Sienna is the youngest of the Hammond Family siblings. Connor is the oldest of the Roarke brothers. He and his brother Liam are captains with the Dark Saints.Sienna and Connor meet when Sienna accidentaly witness's Connor shooting someone. He is a fixer for the Saints and can not leave her behind. Connor takes Sienna to protect her from one of the men who got away from the shooting and will go after her. Their story takes off from there and what a story it is. I loved how Connor at first tries to convince himself he has no interest in Sienna. I love how tough Sienna is not afraid of Connor and realizes what a great guys he truly is down deep. I loved everything about this book! This one is one of top favorites from Ms Irons.

This book is fantastic and so is the author. When you can feel the heat and fear from the inferno in the book within your own body, when you get lost in their world and forget what's going on around you, you know the storyteller is a star. I couldn't put this down once I got started. So well written it just grabs you and drags you along for the ride. Loved it.

Note: I received an advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Let me start off by pointing out one small thing, Saints is based off of a character from another book "Bloodlines" which was featured in a multi-author book 'Begging for Bad Boys: A Steamy Romance Collection'. This book, Saint, is further enhanced IF you've read this other story. Worry not, you can read Saint just fine without the other one...it just is a bit better knowing who background characters are and the situation going on in the background.

Now, if you haven't read a review by me before - know that I don't like to include anything that can ruin your experience both plot wise by emotionally. You of course, can read a synopsis and know the basics of the story. Bad boy mafia and well obviously innocent girl Romance combo is what we are reading. If you've read romance before, like bad boys romance to be precise - THIS book is great.

If you've read the author's other books - you'll definitely enjoy this one. So basically, I REALLY enjoyed Saint. It seemed slow (not boring I might add) as you begin reading, there's a lot to slowly bring together all the chaos; however, it's good stuff. From beginning to end I was into the characters and the going-on's in their world. Never wanted to stop reading as I wanted to find out where we'd go, what would happen and basically how would the story end. This is for me, what I think makes a great book/a great read. Also want to say, I didn't think it was too short or exhaustingly long either...the length gave you more, so you could enjoy the sparks between our bad boy and "good" girl.

So to quickly sum this review up: Buy it, get it via Kindle Unlimited - you'll enjoy the story and characters, so you are in no way wasting your money or time. I am hopeful seeing as the book "Bloodlines" is part of this 'world' that the author will expand even more. Get a copy of Saints, read it...enjoy it, like it and please review it too. (It's reviews that keeps books like this in our hands). Check out too if you can "bloodlines" so you can TRULY enjoy Saints to its best ability while you're at it.

"Burning Down the House" - Talking Heads

Another great signature offering from Aubrey Irons. This story is incendiary hot!!! Seriously smoking hot. Our female protagonist, Sierra is having a "quarter-life" crisis which turns into a full blown evening of revenge on her pencil-d***ed boyfriend when she catches him with some groupie engaged in oral on him. As insults demeaning Sierra are bandied about by her now ex boyfriend, his groupie, and his band mate, Max; Sierra smiles her secret smile because after imbibing on quite a bit if available vodka at her ex boyfriend's practice space, she set the whole place on fire. She is now an arsonist...a very drunk arsonist as that. She waits at the bar continuing to drink waiting for her lame ex's band to take the stage. It is then that she sees him.

"And that’s when I look up and see him just as he steps into the bar. I’d say he’s gorgeous, but gorgeous doesn’t quite cover it. Gorgeous makes him sound pretty or primped to perfection, and he’s neither of those things. The man is dark and brooding, like a storm cloud rolling onto a shore. He’s tall and broad-shouldered, and even though the lighting is terrible in this place, I can still see how dark his hair and his eyes are. The dim light of the place only accentuates the deep shadows across his face - the strong, chiseled jaw, the hollows of his cheeks, the way his brow furrows as he scans the room. He’s across the bar, and when he suddenly looks up, the light catches something fierce and something piercing in his eyes. And mine are hooked on him. My eyes can’t seem to look away as they drink in the storm clouds of his face, the lightning in his eyes. Those utterly perfect lips. The tattoo ink on his neck, peeking out of the collar of his tight black t-shirt and leather jacket."- Sierra
In her alcohol fueled state she is compelled to move toward him and she just spontaneously kisses him. Surprise, surprise he kisses her back. Connor has no time for the intriguing Sierra because he is there as the fixer for the "Dark Saints" to meet warring gang factions. The meet goes sideways and they end up shooting at each other and inebriated Sierra walks in on all of it as it happens. Connor knows he should simply eliminate any witnesses. He hesitates and simply kidnaps Sierra instead.
After navigating some interesting situations, all manner of challenges and overcoming the general mutual mistrust, they both discover and give life to their strong sexual attraction.
It is a breathtaking electrical sexual heat and desire that is written so beautifully, so excitingly, so to make your mouth dry and you pant for how well Ms. Irons writes an erotic love scene.
There are many twits and turns in the story. This one is ever so hard to put down. You just want to read until the final scene. I believe you will get a huge smile on your face when our Sierra has "burned down the house again" So if you love it filthy sexy, dirty and proven quite exciting!!! ...this is a hot tale for your entertainment.

I gave this book 3 stars because it wasn't bad enough to get two but in the grand scheme of things, it really was just ok.

Aubrey Irons knows how to engage a reader. Right off the bat, I was attentive! A good strong start that held for the majority of the novel. However, things happen pretty fast, so I believe this story span the duration of maybe a week or two. Two might even be reaching.

Even so, for what I lacked in individual character development and connection, I got in chemistry and detailed back stories. With time and fortification, this could easily be 4 or 5 stars.

I felt as though this novel was more for the sex though. There was literally a chapter where 3 sentences were all that was exchanged between sexual acts. As for the sex? Meh! Nothing to write home about but at least they didn't pussy foot around and they took what they wanted.

The criminal aspect of this novel is a joke. There is no real plot there and the players are quite unimpressive. That's probably because I also have a strong belief that if you're gonna be bad, just be bad. Bad turning good is no interest of mine when I take up a mafia romance novel. Love me through the bad shit. You know?

On the plus side, if you're not a fan and want a little more mellow goodness, the author, gifts readers a 4 chapter preview of two of her other novels, that surrounds Sierra's other siblings in Shelter Harbour, as well as 'Burn', a totally unrelated but equally preppy novel from a previous series. It's 2-4-1 heaven! Not my speed, so I didn't read pass chapter 2 but the other two chapter previews have urged me to update my TBR list.

'Saint', is an easy to read novel because it is filled with witty banter and a set of easy going characters who aren't afraid to laugh at themselves or have full on sex on a ferry boat.

The beloved Hammond's are back, and this time we get to meet the 'Good Girl', Sierra. I have loved this series. The characters are strong, even in their weakest moments. Liam the hard headed tough guy that raised himself and his family, the fixer. Sierra, the good girl with her head screwed on the right way, only it's not , her life is unraveling. You can't help but connect to these characters, a testament to Aubrey's amazing talent. A great thing about this series is you can read them standalone, but I do recommend reading them in order
1: Thief
2: Sinner
3: Saint

Sierra's family think of her as the academic whiz, life heading in the right direction, or so everyone thinks. Sierra is struggling with her life and what she wants from it, she's just committed a criminal offense after discovering her now ex cheated on her. It's after that confrontation she sees a sexy man across the room, and for the first time she does something spontaneous, kisses the sexy man,and her life changes forever when she witnesses a murder, gets kidnapped, and feels guilty for thinking her kidnapped is hot. Stockholm Syndrome anyone?
8 years after the worst night of Liam's life, he feels out of sorts, the meeting with the Russian and the Ukrainian isn't sitting right. When he is suddenly kissed by the most amazing woman, he's thrown even further into confusion, then she runs. Once in the meeting, things aren't still sitting right, before long shots are fired, and the woman that kissed him is a witness, now the hard act becomes a life altering choice, kidnap not kill.

I received a free copy of this book and chose to VOLUNTARILY review it. My review is completely honest, and a non-incentivized review

OMG I absolutely LOVE Aubrey Irons books and this one I think was my favorite or at least a VERY VERY close second to Sinner
Conner is the fixer for the Irish mafia, he and his brothers became part of the family by way of being "adopted" into it, their parents were just not there for them, Liam, Conner and Grey were all close. Liam is now the fiance to Arie the head of the family and Conner is the fixer, when he is sent to a dive bar for a meeting with the Ukraines and the Russians to hopefully get a treaty between the three things get a little hairy even before the meeting starts, When a gorgeous tiny woman comes up to him and kisses him. When this same woman happens into the room where the meeting is taking place she sees things she isnt suppose to see, like him having to murder someone. He knows he is to leave no witnesses but for some reason he takes her instead.
Sierra has just had so much going on with her life lately that she isnt sure where things are going right now. She is the sibling that supposedly has her act together. But with just finding out her boyfriend is cheating on her and what she did in retaliation and that school is not going how she planned she gets a bit drunk and makes a decision when she see the stunningly gorgeous dark and dangerous man walk into the bar. There is just something about him that draws her in, When she walks up to him and kisses him everything in her life changes at that moment.
Aubrey has such a way with how she writes that pulls you into the story so well that you feel the characters emotions you can hear and smell the atmosphere. I LOVE her books and highly highly recommend them!

I absolutely loved the latest from Aubrey Irons! Sierra Hammond is the definition of good girl in her family, but feels anything but. She feels herself floundering in her life, not caring about school and to top it off she, in a drunken moment, can now add arsonist to her list in her downward spiral. Coming to catch her boyfriend cheating at the bar his band is performing at she decides she needs a drink after. That drink leads to meeting the eye of the man of her bad girl dreams and deciding to plant a kiss on him. Connor Roarke is the "cleaner" captain of the Dark Saints and this meeting he's on his way to with the Russians and Ukrainians is not his idea of a good time, but the woman who plants a kiss on him right before has his attention. When that same woman shows up in the room where the meet is happening and just when everything goes wrong he knows the easy solution, but can't bring himself to do it so he takes her instead. What starts as the worst way to begin anything between two people ends up being that thing they didn't know they were looking for. Connor is bossy, organized and thought he had closed off his emotions long ago but the feisty Sierra will bring those emotions roaring back to life. For Sierra Connor will show her it's ok to not be the definition of perfect she has always been for her family and that he likes her just the way she is. Aubrey Irons does it again with her characters keeping you hooked to the story and on the edge of your seat. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

It came as no surprise to me that I loved Saint by Aubrey Irons, because I've loved her other books. This was no exception. Connor and Sierra were great characters separately, but together, they were fabulous! He was a "fixer," and that meant he'd done stuff. Bad stuff. He accepted it, took responsibility for his actions--and knew he was far too bad of a guy for a woman like Sierra. She, OTOH, was falling apart slowly but surely, and finally her crappy boyfriend pushed her over the edge.

I loved that these characters had legit reasons for thinking they shouldn't be together, but the chemistry was over the top. I loved that Sierra took action to free herself--even if it was short-lived--and I loved that Connor stepped up just as I wanted a hero to do. I loved that they didn't do the "I-hate-you, I-hate-you, I-love-you" thing. Yeah, there was chemistry at a pretty inopportune time, but they owned it. And I loved that they were a team!

I really loved the ending! I hate when that crap gets dragged out. That wasn't the case here. Yeah, there was stuff going on--action stuff--but it kept up a good pace. The action was decisive, and people were smart. They worked through their stuff, stepped up and brought everything to a really satisfying conclusion!

Kudos, Aubrey! Thrilled to have read an ARC of this book, and I HONESTLY can't recommend this book enough!

Back In The 🔫High Life Again🐺

All the doors that closed to me will open up again.
Connor 🐺,tall, jacked,💪 tatted☁ ,and alpha Irish mob fixer💀🔫🔪, goes to a dive 🍸bar to meet with a Russian Mobster 👹🔫🔪on neutral ground. While waiting at the 🍸bar some college girl (Sierra) rushes up to him and 💋kisses him. Stunned, he grabs her and kisses💋 back, she's a hot🔥 little number! Then she runs to the bathroom to hide her embarrassment.
Trying to avoid him, she tries to go out the back way, but stumbles into a gun fight🔫🔫! It's Connor🐺🍌🌋🔫🔪 and the Russians👹 he was supposed to meet! It was a set up! Connor🐺🍌🌋👋 has to kill🔫 one of them and his Russian go between is also killed. Two dbs. And now a witness, Sierra!💋👙 So much for fixing things.

Something in his mind, or between his legs, tells him to take the girl,💋 kidnap her instead of kill🔫 her ,too. YEHAW!
Thus starts a hot🔥 n heavy bad boy, good girl erotic romance!

Loved this book, the dialogue between Connor🐺🍌🌋 and Sierra💋 is fun and full of innuendos, and their love affair💘 is a precious thing. It's a page turner, I just couldn't put it down!

4.25☆

This was an enjoyable story that drew me in from the very start and kept me engaged throughout. There was also little angst and the story was extremely easy to read.

As for the characters Sierra and Connor I really liked them both. Sierra especially is a favourite character of mine from her appearances in the Shelter Harbour books and I loved her in this. And I thought Connor was the perfect guy for her somewhat crazy, spitfire self and they definitely worked as a couple. That is when he stopped kidnapping her and she stopped tasering him.

Although I'm not sure I really felt they had much of a spark to begin with but I definitely felt it as the story progressed and Sierra and Connor certainly shared a few hot and dirty moments.

However I must confess I was expecting it to be darker. Don't get me wrong Connor was a bad guy. Who had definitely done some bad stuff and there was violence but I was anticipating more. Although one thing I wasn't expecting was the bit of action towards the end and I did very much enjoy that. And overall I did think this was a good story that can easily be read as a standalone and I would happily recommend it to others too.

Aubrey Irons was working overtime on the spicy darkness theme in this novel! Whoo! I loved every witty plot twisting, sultry, suspenseful nerdy and dirty talking moment of this book!
Connor and Sierra have chemistry you cannot find in any lab, too bad he had to take her hostage. She accidently saw him doing his business, with some unsavory fellows, now she knows too much, and the one man who got away before Connor could get to him has seen her face, makes her a target. Trying to do the right thing he "takes" her to his home, sure he has to tie her up, but it is for her own safety.
Granted Sierra does not see it that way. The sexual tension that was present at the bar is still around even though she is fuming tied to his furniture as he tormenters her with cheeky comebacks galore. She wonders will she survive this? Conner wonders is he going to survive the tiny good girl with a bad side, plus the men out to get them both?
Oh man- As I declared above. I loved this book! I am all about Mafia Romances; This one gave me everything and more that I could want in a storyline. IMO Aubrey Irons has written an excellent mafia romance- one that I will be reading again!!

Another amazing read by Aubrey Irons. Saint is one page turning, gut clinching, hot and sexy ride that I know I'll be enjoying again and again. From the very beginning, we can see that little Sierra has a bad girl streak that she's been hiding. I mean, really, who burns down a garage because she caught the boyfriend possibly cheating? Well, it turns out it was a good thing that she did that because the ex is a bigger d-bag than ever expected. When she first meets Connor, it's an explosion of chemistry, but one never expected to be felt again by either. Then she witnesses something she shouldn't have and instead of doing the cleanup Connor knows he should, he kidnaps her. Is there such a thing as reverse Stockholm Syndrome? Both Connor and Sierra have fallen and fallen hard. The Ukrainians are on the hunt and find Sierra without her force field Connor around. But what seems to be a gentler way of saving her, ends up putting Connor in even more danger than expected. Never know who you can trust. Or what to expect. You'll never guess who's the one to save the day in this one. Must read to find out!

Saint has been a long time coming, and I'm so glad it's finally here. This story is about Sierra from the Shelter Harbor series and Connor from Bloodlines. Both of them have troubled history, and their initial encounter may have started out as a drunken whim, but things escalate in a hurry as Connor ends up having to kidnap Sierra. There was amazing action and the book was so well written. It drew me in from the first sentence. I love how sassy and fiery Sierra is. She won't put up with much. Her impulsive behavior was funny in a "did I do that" way, but she was a tough cookie. Loved Connor - rough, tough, and hot as hell. Their chemistry is all out combustible, and nobody writes a hot scene the way Aubrey Irons does. This was a gripping and thoroughly engaging read, and I would highly recommend it. You don't need to read the Shelter Series or Bloodlines books, but they are all amazing and also well recommended! Fantastic books! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Sierra and Connor meet at a bar on a night where she sees him kill someone when she stumbles into a back room. Connor knows he should eliminate her, but is still intrigued by their kiss a few moments earlier when Sierra drunkenly went for it. Sierra acted childish and was just plain ridiculous at points. For a woman who was supposedly in graduate school, got good grades and had a good head on her shoulders, she made some seriously poor decisions in this book. She repeatedly acted like a child and did not do anything to redeem herself in my eyes throughout this book. She gets herself into a bad situation with her ex that Connor has to get her out of and all she can think about is getting herself off? Just no. Connor was an enigma to me and while I kind of liked how he protected those he loved, I didn't like how he didn't keep Sierra in line more. His past was tragic and he owned that so I could relate to him going into the "family" business. I just wanted a bit more of him showing a tender side I guess. Overall an okay read.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Woah! Give me a second to catch my breath! This story was so full of fast paced action. Connor and Sierra are a hot couple! They click from the start. Sierra, for being the good girl, straight A, reverend's daughter reaches her limit and proves that sometimes still waters run deep! She is not used to Connor's world but she shows her strength of character. And Connor for that matter, never judge a book by it's cover (although the cover on this book is hot!).The story is full of danger, action, intense feelings, excitement, and the sex scenes are smoking!
The flow of the plot is seamless. It keeps you turning pages and reading ...just one more chapter before bed! You feel as if you are thrown into the middle of their chaos, you are a part of the scene and have a vested interest in their lives. From the start, I was rooting for Connor and Sierra. Fantastic read!

While the theme of the story has been done before and there weren't a lot of surprises, the writing flowed well and the plot line was well thought out and engaging...I was never bored because the action kept a steady pace. Connor and Sierra were good together, believable, with just the right amount of angst and steam.

I love a series where the books can be read as stand alones, because I don't like cliff hangers and even though there is cross over and recurring characters the author offers enough explanation so you don't have to feel like you've missed something if you haven't read a previous book. I liked this story enough that I may go back and read the others in the series, but I'm really looking forward to what comes next with the Dark Saints storyline.

Thank you Aubrey for a very enjoyable read!
PS...don't forget to sign up for her newsletter, you'll definitely want the extended epilogue!

3.5 Stars. Here's why, book length says 304 pages. However, the story ended at the 50% mark. The second 50% is previews and sneak peaks to other books. Oddly enough, I had just read a review from one of GR pals, and someone who's reviews I used as a guide all the time, comment about the same thing just before I started this. I remember agreeing that I hate that too. I hit the 40% and the start of the climax and I'm thinking this is going to be a hell of a ride, but no. Not that it wasn't an enjoyable read because it was, just head scratching when I see the epilogue pop up. Okay, so that said, I did enjoy the story and the writing. Rave worthy? Maybe not, but it did melt a little butter and kept me reading into the night. It had an really good base and the potential is there to take this to higher level, so we shall see. Four chapters from the next book in the series is included which I've already started, so I'll likely pick that up next.

4.5 ⭐️. This was the first book by this author and while I really enjoyed it there was just something missing. I just didn't feel that connected with the characters and their relationship (development). Does the story of Connor and Sierra. Connor works for the dark saints, a mob organization and Sierra is heartbroken college girl looking for some dirty fun. She randomly kisses him in a bar and then as she's trying to escape her ex-boyfriend runs into him in the back while he's killing someone. Connor knows that he should kill her but ends up kidnapping her instead. Now they are both on the run from the Ukrainian mob and he has to save her life and keep her safe. I enjoyed the story and would read this author again, that was great steam, their connection seemed real, the storyline had great potential and there was angst. My only missing piece was that I wish their relationship and themselves were more developed so I felt more connected.

I admit that I thought this book would be quite a bit darker than it was, and that was likely my biggest disappointment. It sounds dark from the blurb, and looks dark, but it's kind of all bark and no bite. There's plenty of steam, but the characters do a bit more insisting that they're dark than actually showing it, and in the end, I kind of felt more like it was a contemporary romance dressed up with mafia trimmings, just based on the characters and the ease of the plot development. It wasn't a bad diversion, though, so for someone simply wanting a romance that threatens darkness more so than it delivers it, and proceeds pretty easily and at a fast pace, it's worth a read.

I have no idea if I'll read more work from the author--the romance here worked, and there was plenty of steam. The writing wasn't bad, if sometimes a bit repetitive and forced. I just wanted the darkness of the characters/plot to live up to genre and blurb promise and advertising a bit more.

I voluntarily received an ARC for an honest review. If you've been following the Shelter Harbor Series, plus the Bloodlines Novella in Begging for Bad Boys, this is the next book in line. Both stories come together in this book and it's super HOT!! Sierra is a good girl from Shelter Harbor trying to do all the right things, but feels like she's a hollow version of herself. After finding out her ex is cheating, she has a brief lapse in good judgment. She is drunk and decides to do something reckless. It puts her in a path of someone dangerous. Instead of killing her, he does something reckless and makes her his hostage. By deviating from their normal, they start to save each other from an uncertain future.
I loved the characters, I love the storyline and how it merged together seamlessly. Aubrey is an amazing writer and I definitely recommend this series. Definitely five stars!!!

Okay. The 'I'm a bad man. A very bad man' shit is starting to get annoying already and I'm like two chapters in. Honey! A little less talking, a lot more doing. At the moment the constant use of the word 'powerful' and 'he's a man' makes me think this girl is clearly just that, a cringey juvenile sort of girl. However she's definitely not the cringest heroine that I've come across and the way the book is wittten sounds promising. The dialogue is just a teeny bit annoying. We shall see.
Update: So the plot was a 3. The cheeriest between the characters was a 3 (and I think I'm only rating t so high because of the way he is described lol), the writing style is a 3.5 and the dialogue is a 3 so overall I'd give this book a 3.5. I just really felt like there was no chemistry between the two characters and there was nothing tying them together except the sex they had 3 times.

If you're looking for a book to get lost in, Saint by Aubrey Irons is the one for you. This dark, sexy, heartfelt, intense, and action-packed story has plenty of suspense, angst, violence, and steamy scenes that keep you turning the pages to see where the story will take you.

I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.

* I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book*
This book delivers BIG TIME!! Another great job by one of my favorite authors Aubrey Irons. Saint is a continuation of the story of the Irish Mafia enforcer brothers Conner, Liam, and Gray. And we have Sierra from the Shelter Cove Series. Told from both Conner and Sierra's POV, this book is fast paced, well developed, and a page turner from start to finish. I loved the interaction of both main characters and their siblings, there was an absolute sense of trust, respect, and love. I now have added to my TBR list all of the Shelter Cove Series, I've only read one other. Oh well I guess I'll have a busy week. Great job, great read, can't wait for the next book!!

**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review** First off, this is the follow up to Bloodlines & helps to read first, although this is a stand alone. Loved. This. Book! In this story we meet one of the captains & the fixer of the Boston Irish syndicate the Dark Saints, Conner Roarke & the "innocent" college girl, Sierra Hammond. This story takes off quick & will hook you from the start. Doesn't lack for danger, hot sexy scenes or emotion. Only complaint I do have is the constant mentioning of Stockholm Syndrome. I understand not everyone that will pick this up has heard of it but you get the meaning the first time it's mentioned lol. Other than that, this book is definitely one of my favorites to read this year. Would most definitely recommend this! :D
