If you have read too much of Hitchcock or have seen the Hitch20 Series on YouTube then this Book won’t provide too much insights.
I am not taking away anything from the Author, he has done a wonderful job in deciphering Hitchcock’s techniques but the Hitch20 series is a visual presentation which covers most topics presented in this book.
The intricate details are more prominent here which makes us understand the Master behind the craft & how each of his actions means so much.
The logic offered by the Author on each technique is very sound with clear cut examples.
The Author also poses his questions to various filmmakers thus making the entire process even more clear.
This book is a definitive guide to Hitchcock & his methodology.
This is my second time reading this book. It's a super clean and easy book to read that very plainly and very simply explains Hitchcock's techniques. A short read, but one you want to pace out because of the lessons in each chapter.
