Love Me, I'm Famous #4

Devils Don't Fly

Rate this book
*This is the FINAL book in Saylor & Oliver's trilogy.

Have you ever wished to one day wake up and discover all your dreams have come true?

It happened to me and no, it wasn't the work of a fairy godmother.

My music is playing on the radio, my face is splattered on the cover of every magazine, and I can't remember how I got there. The cherry on top is discovering the most devilish handsome man I've ever met is--wait for it--my husband.

Of all my denied memories, Oliver Best is the hot enigma that confuses me the most. I can't fight the chemistry, the raw attraction between us. But the question lingers, can I fall in love with him again?

I always knew creative arts were my calling but not in a million years did I think I would become an author. With a background in fashion design I thought I would follow that path. But one day, out of the blue, I had an idea for a book. One page turned into ten pages, ten pages turned into a hundred, and before I knew, my first novel, The Prophecy of Arcadia, was born.

I live in Florida with my husband and baby daughter. I'm currently working on the Arcadian Wars series, the Elements series, and the Love Me, I'm Famous series.

Arcadian Wars is a YA Paranormal/SciFi Romance series. It follows the life of a group of teens who possess incredible powers and have a very important mission: save their planet and in the process, save Earth too. The first book, The Prophecy of Arcadia, and the novella, The Fall of Arcadia, are already available. The second book, The Phoenix Shadow, will be published in the summer of 2015.

Elements is a new YA Paranormal Romance series. It focuses on two sisters who hold the key to stop a full-blown war between elemental beings and humans. Look for the first book by the end of 2015.

Love Me, I'm Famous is a NA Contemporary Romance series and each book will be a standalone focused on different characters. As the name of the series suggests, at least one of the characters in each book will be somewhat famous. The first book is slated to be published later in 2015.

4 once more surprised stars

Once again MH Soars had me on the treadmill!

”treadmill”/

Oops this can sound really dirty once that I read it back...
What I mean is I was reading Devils don't Fly on the treadmill and nearly missed my Aquaboxing classes as I was so engrossed in the story that I forgot the time.

And yes now you also know that you'd better not be on my bad side as I'm kicking butts literally...

But I digress forgive me because Saylor and Oliver's story deserves ALL your attention!

This is the final book in their story and I really wanted no NEEDED to know what would happen.

Well it gave us a kind of "second chance story" with Oliver wooing his girl and Saylor feeling...lost. But that's not all as MH Soars of course had a white rabbit or several rabbits in her hat to show! Meaning: expect the unexpected.

rabbit”/>

So Saylor does not remember a single thing from the last year.
In her shoes I would be frightened, lost, frustrated and angry as I'm a Well Saylor took it like a champ. No freaking except once but she also had to regain control over her body through hours of grueling therapy sessions.

And Oliver?
Well Oliver was not spared at all. He had to walk on eggshells around the girl he loves. He will be rejected time and again and I so wanted to shake Saylor!!!

Now what Ollie will have to do is make her fall in love with him a second time. Should be easy for cocky Ollie right? Weeeeelll the girl drove a hard bargain.

So you swoon when Ollie court Saylor, you cry when he's been rebuffed and you cheer when he makes a move. Yumm I looove his moves. It was a real pleasure witnessing his courtship and I ate it like ice cream.
”eatingicecream”/

That's when the white rabbit (sorry girls no white knight in this review) pokes his big fluffy ears and the story takes a totally unexpected turn. WTH?????

I stop here as the twists and turns are part of the fun.

What I loved:
-the wooing. It's always elating to witness a guy work to get his girl;
-the insecurities and inner questioning. Saylor and Ollie have tons of fear, doubts, questions and hopes...as they should! It makes for a realistic story;
-the glimpses into Oliver's past as he remained quite mysterious;
-the white rabbit = the twists and turns

What was missing to get 5 stars:
-an epilogue after a few years but I bet we'll hear again about them;
-more cockiness. I get Ollie matured and it's expected that he would be more grounded and grave. He did not lose all his cockiness but I missed the overtly cocky and teasing Ollie.
-the jokes and sass. Once more the book's setting asked for a heavier tone and there was banter so that's just me longing for the first book's levity.

Recommend it? Hell yes especially if you have read the first books because you won't want to miss this!!!

“What if Saylor never recovers her memories? What if she never remembers me?”
Dr. Laurent leans back in his chair and links his hands together. He watches me closely for a moment before replying, “Then you’ll have to make your wife fall in love with you all over again.”

As much as I liked the first half of he book, the suspence in the second half was killing me! I loved it.

At long last, Oliver and Saylor's conclusion is here, and it's a great one. Saylor has just woken up to the surprise of her and Oliver's life. How will she react to the man she's been told she's married to? How will Oliver react when it's clear his wife doesn't recognize him?

I felt so bad for both of them as they struggled to be together, to stay together. Saylor didn't just lose her memories of her last year with Oliver, she lost the feeling in her left arm and leg. So now she's going through extensive physical rehab and seeing a therapist to help her cope with the mess her life has become. She's moved in with Oliver, but she's not the same woman he knew, and loves. She's on edge, she's grumpy (downright bitchy a lot of the time, actually), she's mean and she's depressed. If only she could remember not just her husband, but how her band became the success it apparently is.

But, after a little talk with Saylor's doctor, Oliver knows that he now has a second chance to get his wife to fall in love with him all over again. It's all up to him to remind her why they're so good together and it's up to her to reach out and grab onto that love.
"You've been given a second chance at life with a man who worships the ground you walk on. Are you going to throw it all away, or are you going to grab this chance and never let go?"

But when Oliver's life, too, falls apart, can Saylor be the strong one? Can she comfort him and be there for him, as he's been there for her ever since she left the hospital? I was shouting at my Kindle more than once as hit after hit kept coming for this amazing couple. But, through it all, they managed to fall back in love and be there for each other. Saylor finally got to meet his family and it wasn't pretty, except for meeting his feisty, loving grandma. She finally gets to see that it isn't just her who's had it rough, Oliver's home life is a big fat mess. Thank God he has Saylor now, and had always had his grandma. And thank God the love Saylor didn't remember she felt for Oliver was still there, came back in spades, because he needed it then more than ever.

It was good seeing Bas and Liv again, and the other Wreck members, and most of all, good to see Saylor and Ollie's newest family member - Felix, the German Shepherd she rescued and brought home when she couldn't think of letting him get put down for not being adopted. He added a little bit of levity into what was mostly otherwise an edgy, sometimes sad, conclusion.

Thank you MH for giving us this sexy, suspenseful conclusion for one of my favorite rockstar couples. Can't wait for more! Perhaps for Allan and Sticks (Elisa)? And ooooh, perhaps Derek can finally meet the woman to help him get over Liv. He's a nice guy (despite what Ollie and Bas think of him) and deserves love, too.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Oh My Sweetness!!!! This series just gets better and better with each book. If you have not read any of the previous books than stop right now and go get Catch You and don't continue reading because my review will reveal things that aren't necessarily spoilers if you've read the books but will be spoilers if you don't start at the beginning.

Trust me you will love this amazing series. Each book intertwines the same characters though the focus of this book as well as book 2 (Sugar We're going Down) and book 3 (Wreck of The Day) are Oliver and Saylor. Both Oliver and Saylor have had their lives turned upside down with events that have taken place in their lives but through their best friends they find each other and though it took time they fall madly in love. At the end of the last book Saylor had major brain surgery and we find that she wakes up with no recollection of the past year. Oliver has to find a way to get his wife to remember the love they share by making her fall in love with him all over again. In this book we get to meet Olivers colorful family and oh boy are you in for a surprise. I will say that if you didn't love Oliver before you will definitely LOVE the man now!!!!

Soars does a wonderful job with the story and of course minor characters from previous books make their cameo and I can not wait to get the stories on these characters. The people within these books are like old friends you love visiting with from time to time to catch up.

4 1/2 Stars
I have been rooting for Oliver & Saylor since they first appeared in Wonderwall the first book in this series, which is not their story. The second book Sugar, We're Going Down was a fabulous continuation of the cat and mouse game between the two and book three Wreck of The Day brought to light a heartbreaking secret and left us hanging with how it would be handled. While Devil's Don't Fly picks up after Saylor choose the path that would give her and Ollie a chance of the HEA we all have been waiting for, but not without consequences. Ollie is a dream, he fell and never looked back, wears his love like a badge of honor and doesn't care who knows, while Saylor was a tough one to catch, she more than shows how much in love with Ollie she is by her actions. What surprised me is the second half of the book that has Ollie and Saylor returning to Ollie's boyhood home to face his past. The book then becomes a bit of a mystery novel, with an appearance by a long lost thought dead brother and a truth that Saylor is determined to get to the bottom of. Totally unexpected, but fun nonetheless. There are more characters that I would like to see again and I do think the very end was a bit rushed. All in all a series worth reading

Memories and ghosts of the past??

In the third installment "Wreck of the Day" we were left with somewhat of a cliffy.... Saylor had her surgery but what does she remember and will she get her whole memory back?? Well bits and pieces start coming back but family emergencies take Ollie and her back to England. This is where ghosts of past comes into play and some major twists. Not going to give it all away so guess what you are going to have to READ it to find out!!!!
The storyline just flows, sex scenes are hot, twists, and honestly a brilliantly written series. I hope this isn't the last we see of this amazing cast of characters because I WANT more and don't want to see it end.

I don't have the words for this review. I thought I loved Ollie and Saylor's story before but man when she woke up and not know who he was my heart broke for him. These two had both dealt with enough pain and heartache in their lives. At least they had if they hadn't had this author working so diligently against them!! Well ok so I loved the twist and turns and I love how Ollie gave her the time without giving her too much space and was just himself well kinda. Great story because this author once again does all of the right things. All the emotions, betrayal, lies, abuse, it's just an all around good read with steam. . . no not steam because Ollie and Saylor are way past steam, hell they have been more than that since they met.

copy received for honest review
I enjoyed the final installment of Saylor and Oliver. It was good to see them fall in love all over again. Ollie makes you love him even more with his patience with Saylor. He did not try to rush her or push her into remembering anything. The story did take a weird turn with the brother mystery. That added some drama and excitement. Great happy ending for Saylor and Ollie. They make a great couple and you can believe in the HEA.v I hope there is more from this mixed group of friends.

I absolutely loved the conclusion to Saylor and Oliver’s tale. There was action, intrigue, and some emotions in Devils Don’t Fly. I think I finally fell for Ollie, discovering the man Saylor loved. Great book! Can’t wait to read more from M.H. Soars.

Such an awesome story!!!!

Devils Don’t Fly is book 3 in the Love Me, I’m Famous series. This is also the last book in Oliver and Saylor story. This story was filled with so much drama. I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I have devoured the previous books and this one was no exception. Seeing all the ups and down in this book had me on the edge of my seat. I absolutely love Oliver. After everything that he is put through he is still caring and understanding. I’m sorry to see their story come to an end. I’m hoping that the author writes more about these characters. Again I give this book a 5 star rating.

Love this series.

I have enjoyed thee other books in this series and this on is great as well. Ollie and Blue are a darling couple and what they go through isn't fair. Now they are married and Saylor has another tragic event. This story has suspense and murder and lots of hot sex. Yep, you need to read it. Carry on Ms. Soars, I am waiting for the next installment.

Very unexpected

I usually don't go for long trilogies. And have to admit I was perturbed when I a left with a cliffhanger. I tend to get bored with the characters. Not the case in this book. I fell in love with Saylor and Ollie. I ended up reading this in less then a day. I couldn't put it down. Had me crying holding my and cheering through the whole series.

Note to self: Don’t read while emotional or pregnant 🤣

This is the fourth book of the Love Me, I’m famous series. It is the third and final instalment of Oliver and Saylor. Saylor has just woken up from her brain surgery but has no memories of the past year of her life. She doesn’t remember Oliver, Wreck of the Days fame or Liv and Bas’ relationship.

This book had me on the edge of my seat so many times but I guess I’m a sucker for punishment because no matter how many times I put the book down, 2 minutes later I picked it back up! The sheer amount of drama and different barriers keeps this book constantly entertaining. I honestly couldn’t get enough of this last installment. I do feel a couple of things are left open and I hope they will be solved in the last book because my need to know will drive me up the wall.

This is the final book in Saylor and Oliver's story. After undergoing surgery to save her life, Saylor wakes up as a different person, at least to Oliver. Everyone tells her that she is married to Oliver but she has absolutely no recollection of him. Oliver is not going to give up and is determined to help her get her memories back. Even though she doesn't remember being in love with Oliver, her body tells her something different. She's afraid to give in, thinking that it is only lust she is feeling. When Oliver receives tragic news from home, he knows he must return. Thinking he is going by himself, he is surprised when Saylor says she is going with him. Even though she can't remember, she just knows that it feels where she needs to be. While in England, several things happen at once. There are a couple of mysteries surrounding Oliver's family and Saylor's condition changes. The ending of the book satisfied me, even though I hated for their story to come to an end.

Sweetly sexy, steamy wild, emotionally thrilling, mysteriously suspenseful conclusion to this epic romantic journey. Each story in this series builds on the last one and they are together one of the best I have read this year.

Oliver and Saylor have been through so much already and this latest hurdle is one that just show the amazing strength of their love and unbreakable bound. Loved visiting with all my favorite people from this musical and exciting world as they all pitch in to help the struggling couple keep their sanity. Over all this is a beautifully written, highly entertaining read.

This series has been steamy and suspenseful throughout, and the final book in Saylor and Oliver's story delivers a pitch-perfect ending. If you read the other books in the series you've likely already devoured this the second it hit the shelves, but if you're a romance junkie looking for your next fix then you have to check out this series from the beginning - you won't regret it!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!

Kindle Edition
4 stars
The 4th book in the series is another fun, fast read. The book began with Saylor waking up from a coma with no memories of the past year, not even knowing who Oliver, her husband, was. Oliver was devastated but determined to make Saylor remember or fall in love with him all over again. Their chemistry is still there, anytime they are near each other.
Oliver's dad has a major heart attack & he & Saylor fly back to London. But before his dad dies he reminds Oliver how much he hated him & wished Oliver would've died instead of Harry. Oliver falls into a dark place & drinks himself into a stupor. Saylor thinks Oliver's parents are vile, but she really likes Olivers grandmother, who was the only adult to really love him. While at the dad's funeral a man walks in saying he is Harry. As much as Oliver wants to believe it's his brother returned from the dead, he's skeptical. But when the DNA test comes back saying it is indeed Harry, Oliver is overjoyed. Saylor is the skeptical one now, especially since Harry keeps asking Oliver for money & even asks Oliver to buy him the old mansion nearby, where Harry has been living. Then Oliver's grandmother dies & Oliver is devastated again. When the butler gives Saylor a watch from the grandmother with a note saying the person claiming to be Harry is not Harry, Saylor searches for the truth at the nearby mansion. While snooping, Saylor finds the truth that "Harry" is really the next door neighbor's son, Simon, who's undergone extensive plastic surgery to look like the real Harry. As she leaves the house, Simon kidnaps her & drags her to an underground bunker. When Saylor awakens, she finds she's been bound at the hands & feet. She also finds the real Harry alive in the bunker. He was struck by a car Simon's dad drove. The man took Harry to his place after the accident so he wouldn't be placed in jail. The man takes care of Harry but Harry is paralyzed from the waist down from the accident. After the Dad died, Simon went crazy, taking away Harry's wheelchair & keeping him prisoner. Saylor is determined to free herself & Harry from the bunker. When she does, she hears Oliver's cries for help. Saylor has been missing & Oliver is calling the police because he knows Saylor would not leave him. It's then that Simon hits Oliver in the back of the head with a shovel. Saylor finds Simon over a dirt pile & after knocking him over digs the hole out out to find Oliver unconscious. Simon is attacked by Saylor & Oliver's dog, Felix. Simon picks up the shovel again, this time to kill the dog, the butler comes to the rescue by shooting Simon.
Oliver & Saylor return to California with the real Harry. The book ends with Liv & Saylor finding out they are both pregnant. Happy ending.
