A Plan Gone Wrong

Rate this book
What if Jesus were in high school today? Who would he hang out with? What would he say? What would he do? Judas Iscariot likes to control people. He plays one against the other and applies leverage to get what he wants. Jude has his eyes on Mary, and has arranged the perfect plan to convince her he's the one for her. But he's about to learn that he can't control every variable. Sometimes, even his best plans can go terribly wrong.

A great read that brings people and events from the Bible into a modern setting, and makes you think about what Jesus would do in such a situation. Even though I'm well past high school, it still challenged me.

This third instalment of The Eli Diaries features Jude Iscariot, a wealthy young man who is in love with Mary and sets up a plan with a couple of 'mates' (Scumbag One and Two) where he heroically saves Mary and she falls into his arms.

It's simple, short and doesn't really add much to what we know of Eli and Maggie. I'm still getting my feet with this series and am still uncertain as to whether it's good or not. But I've already bought Book 4 and I hope it features more of Eli.

But I continue to love the concept of the series and at $0.98 is the right price for a 6-page episode.

I've enjoyed this series. Stretches my thinking. Enlarges my spirit. Challenges my determination. What if? Yet, Jesus is involved in every area of my life, and Judas will be there also. Submit yourself to God and the devil will flee. Five-Star Read.
