Medeiros is an avid proponent of the farm-to-table movement. She travels as a guest speaker and cooking instructor, emphasizing her commitment to the sustainable food movement. Illustrations and photographs of prepared recipes were in short supply. Also, I was often referred to purchase a local product or specialty instead of making it myself. Marketing products occasionally is fine, but not to the point where there is little to a recipe beyond purchasing something.
The scratch bread section at the end was well done.
