Francia, fine anni '50.

Historical graphic novel about the Sputnik years in France.

What I can say--it's an interesting slice-of-life story about a boy living and surviving and times of confusion and turmoil. The main character fights with rival youth gangs, plays bloody soccer and launches DIY rockets into space, later under the surveillance of the local Communist Party.

This feels very much like literature in graphic form. Something which I would have avoided in my teenage years, but now fully appreciate as an adult.

If you're interested in the Sputnik era, this is a comic worth checking out.
