Rate this book
Twenty years after the treaty of the Wicked Witches was signed, odd events began occurring in the town of Thistle Grove, a small village on the edge of the Woods. Bears started to appear in town and small children disappeared. Was Paulina the Malevolent breaking the peace and up to no good?
But when Red’s beloved, Griffin, goes missing she knows she has to help rescue him.
With the help of wolf in sheriff's clothing and their friend Ruby, Snow and Red begin a journey that will take them in conflict with Wicked Witches, Goblins, and bear shifters.
Will they be able to solve the disappearance of their friends and town people? Or will the Treaty of the Wicked Witches be smashed and the peace of Thistle Grove destroyed forever?

Reader Beware! Author believes in love at first sight, fairy tales, happily ever afters, insta-love, and happy endings.

Sweet, frothy romance between strong women finding their way in life and love and the men who capture their hearts.

Lots of emphasis on strong female friendships.

I'll admit it, re-telling of fairy tales are not usually one of my favorite genres, partially because I know the outcome of the stories. This one is different - I have heard of the fairy tale, but I've never actually read it. Therefore is the hole in my fairytale knowledge actually a good thing in this case. I liked Red, she comes across as sympathetic and likeable, I am not quite sure how I feel about her sister yet. This book is a little bit of a Cliff hanger and I am hoping the next book with give some closure, at least concerning Rose-Red and Snow-White. I would also love to read Summer Donnelly's take on Ruby and Avery and hope that is in the works. So all in all a good re-telling if I am wondering where the next books are going!

A good quick read. Romantic with a magical twist on fairy tale characters. The world is interesting and I have the impression that the other books will tell the stories of the other characters. It all seems to revolve around a center theme. I don't like books that end in a cliffhanger, this one was minor enough to not detract from the story but still left me wondering what will happen next. All in all, it was a light, quick read, the romance was there but PG so a great read for a high school or young adult also.

Loved this authors version of Red-Rose and Snow-White. This is a well written short story with amazing characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the Thistle Grove Tales series and finding out what happens next to everyone. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

What a great story! I love the fairytales and just the way you brought them together is so amazing!! I like how only Red can understand Griffin and how only snow can understand or hear Tristin! It proves their hearts belong to each other! I can’t wait to dive into Snow!

Not bad

This short story wasn't too bad. A nice twist on this fairy tale. Good enough to get the next book to find out what happens next.

A quick, fun read

Overall the plot wasn't terribly clever, but its a fun easy read. Short, so great for something to read while out and about.

The story was a continuous battle, a rescue mission, lots of food, and a little romance thrown in. I could not connect to any of the characters but was a decent read nonetheless.
