Lloyd Field, PhD, is an executive coach, management consultant, facilitator, speaker, and author who has spent 30 years working with business leaders in North America and throughout Europe. Lloyd has a PhD in Human Resources, holds a Lifetime designation with the U.S. Society for Human Resource Management (SPHR), and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in the U.K. (FCIPD).

Thirty years ago, Lloyd left a corporate position as Vice-President of Human Resources at Johnson & Johnson International to create and lead Performance House Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in human resource management and organizational development. He trained over 20,000 managers internationally while providing guidance and executive coaching to hundreds of senior executives and managers. During this time Lloyd published the Canadian best seller, Unions Are Not Inevitable! A Guide to Positive Employee Relations©,now in its fourth edition.

Lloyd now runs his own personalized executive coaching firm, Lloyd Field Ltd. , and recently published Business and The Buddha: Doing Well by Doing Good©, an amalgam of his business and Buddhist experiences. Lloyd also frequently contributes to business publications.

As a management consultant, Lloyd worked with a variety of leaders and managers in a wide range of industries. Over the years, he repeatedly saw professionals making the same mistakes when it came to managing their employees. Through the study of Buddhism, Lloyd came to realize there is a better Way.

Lloyd's personal interest in Buddhism guides his holistic approach to coaching, for he believes that successful leadership relies on the interdependence of the professional, personal, and spiritual components of each individual. Lloyd is not only a coach to senior executives - he is a friend, a sounding board, and a mentor.

Lloyd and his family live in Waterloo. He has been an active community volunteer throughout his life. Other interests include the study of Buddhism and comparative religions; designing and making one-of-a-kind pieces of stained glass; reading and music; and walking his Cockapoo, Brody
