Rhodes’s Reward:
Sienna and Rhodes have been tiptoeing around each other in the compound for ages. As the sister of Rhodes buddy Jerrod, Sienna has been off limits for years. Since she turned up at the compound, his feelings have only grown stronger. When Bullard asks for Sienna’s help, she and Rhodes head off to Dallas to work with the DA. When Sienna starts to put the pieces together, she is targeted by the bad guys and Rhodes must come to her rescue. Just as they find their way to each other finally, everything goes to hell again. So many twists in this story which will keep you reading well into the night. Great book.
Flynn’s Firecracker:
Flynn is a new member of the security team, whose past comes back to haunt him. He and Anna met in a previous book and Flynn wanted to get to know her better. When someone leaves a dead owl and a dead body on Anna’s property and tries to frame Flynn, he will stop at nothing to protect Anna and find the man responsible. Lots of excitement in this story, which will keep your interest from start to finish. I really enjoyed this book.
Logan’s Light:
When Logan and Harrison are sent to Boston on a fact finding mission, little did they know that they would become involved in a race against time to rescue abducted women from a human trafficking ring. When Alina is found at one of the properties they are investigating, Logan will do everything in his power to keep her safe. This is a fast-paced story that I didn’t want to put down.

Good stories to continue the series
I enjoyed the further adventures of the Heroes for Hire. Good men, working hard to save those in their world, finding the women meant to be their partner.

Great additions to the series. Smart, compassionate, resourceful & feisty women are more than a match for highly skilled, protective, ex-millitary men. The hair raising situations keep me turning pagee.

Rhode's Reward - Book 4
The day Ice brought Sienna to the compound was a really good day for them. She's got the skills to take care of the accounting that Stone hates. However there is someone already there that Sienna just can't ignore, Rhodes.
Rhodes and Sienna's brother Jared are best-friends. They served together and now Rhodes is with Legendary Security following that FUBAR mission. Jared is still active duty and there is a code between SEAL brothers, hands off the sisters.
Funny how everyone at the compound has noticed the attraction and acknowledged it except for the two involved.
As Sienna's working on streamlining the accounting for the compound, she gets a call from Bullard asking for her help with some banking code. Since it appears to be a joint thing with Levi and Bullard she agrees to help out.
Merk and Rhodes head out to check some addresses related to the case finding some things that cause involving local police. When they return there are some interesting developments that Sienna points out to Rhodes and has to report to Levi.
Now things start heating up in more ways than one as the DA requests Sienna's assistance. It means traveling with Rhodes to Dallas and she's not sure she can really help what with her past and all.
Action, intrigue, romance and simmer to sizzle heat will have you turning the pages. I am so glad I have this in a collect of books 4-6 so I can just start reading the next one.
Flynn's Firecracker - Book 5
I have this book in the Heroes for Hire Bundle, Books 4-6, but I am reviewing them individually as I read them.
As this book opens you will recall Flynn is no longer providing protection for Anna. He's been gone for about a week and has also done another assignment since. One thing he did do, was leave his jacket hanging on the back of the kitchen door. An excuse to come back to see her. Unfortunately that little ploy is about to backfire.
When Anna wakes to an owl slaughtered on her doorstep, she calls the police, but after they left she found Flynn's jacket in her bedroom, with a bloody knife in the pocket. Furious she drives to Levi's compound to confront Flynn.
Flynn was shocked and Logan suggests they test the blood on the knife. It was human. Now they have find a body and deal with the police.
Since Anna couldn't stay in her home and animal shelter, Levi invites her to stay at the compound and Flynn rides with her to explain why he left his jacket.
Things start to unravel as Anna gets a SEAL trident in the mail, and the team starts looking at some sort of connection to Flynn. The problem, whoever is responsible is targeting Anna and her no kill animal shelter.
In spite of Anna and Flynn both having tempers, they are really well suited to each other. They both have a love of animals, and I teared up when Anna got a very large donation check which allowed her to catch up on bills and would support many of the needed repairs.
Unfortunately things seem to escalate instead of calm where Flynn is concerned.
Fast paced, action packed and the heat turns up on the fiery relationship between Anna and Flynn.

I'm trying to catch up on this series, and I have bought the available bundles, I just keep getting waylaid by the new books. I am going to really make the effort now to finish this whole series.
Levi and Ice are pulled into a possible trafficking case by Jackson, his friend the detective who was assigned to the case was pulled supposedly for budgetary reasons. The detective thinks there's something very wrong going on but can't find the proof.
Logan and Harrison set out to Boston armed with four addresses of suspected Human Traffickers. At the first one they check they find a woman but no suspect. Alina had been taken as she was leaving work by a man who was stalking her.
With the discovery of purses, the guys are ordered to wait and apprehend Colin,the man who kidnapped Alina. This proves to be informative but not enough.
As they track down leads, Logan keeps Alina close. She's been through a lot and even her apartment really isn't safe anymore.
I love the way this story develops with plenty of suspense and leads from interesting places.
Of course there's the blossoming relationship between Logan and Alina with the hope she'll decide to move to Texas.
I'm going to start the next group of three books now.

Rhodes' Reward - 4*

Rhodes knew Sierra when she was a gawky teenager but meeting her it is clear she is nowhere near that now. Sienna had a major crush on Rhodes (her brother's best friend) and now he is even hotter than he was then. However she is new to the compound and her primary focus is making sure she can continue to live there - however when she is asked to help on a job a sequence of events is triggered that will put them both in danger. Can something good come out of this dangerous situation?
This is a very sweet story of a crush on a brother's best friend merged into a story of greed and a set of people who will do anything to ensure that their gravy train continues and is protected. It had a good balance of danger, drama and excitement merged with an undeniable attraction between two people who are destined to find each other and find a HEA with lots of sparks on the way. Very enjoyable and impossible to put down.
Flynn's Firecracker - 5*

Flynn is ding a trial job for Legendary and is looking after Anna and her animal shelter but he finds easy but his trouble starts when he leaves after the job finishes. Anna had enjoyed having Flynn's help and couldn't help being attracted to him so was a bit relieved when he left but also really needs him when there is a dead man on her property. It becomes apparent that someone really wants to kill Flynn and really has no problem if other people die as part of the process. Can they both survive?
Wow - this was very dramatic and had so many twists and turns there was no way you could be bored reading it. I loved the relationship between the feisty Anna and Flynn - they made a great couple and were definitely made for each other. There were some drama, some thrills and some really tender moments too. I loved the way the animals were melting the hearts of these touch ex-SEALs in the story - proof that everyone has a soft side if you only know where to look for it.

I loved this story which had so much drama and danger mixed into a tale which had many twists and turns as they navigated the perils of the world of human trafficking. I loved the way the interaction between Logan and Alina started with care and compassion and that over time it developed into something that was rather deeper. As always I love the endings where the team comes together and it sets up the team dynamic for the next story. Well written I was completely caught up into the story and was hoping and praying that the women were found and freed as well as what was developing between Logan and Alina got a chance to be something more.

Rhodes Gorman is one of the men who originally came to Legendary Security with Levi and Ice. He loves working there. But now, he friend's little sister is working there too so Rhodes is doing his best to keep away. When he first met her, she was too young and her brother warned him off. Now...well, she's all grown up and beautiful.
Sienna Bentley seems to be a trouble magnet. Ice had found her sitting under a tree on the side of the road. Pure luck that she ended up here among people who know her brother, who is also a SEAL. And then there is Rhodes. Her brother's friend she never forgot. She never planned on going on any type of mission, but here she is...on a mission and alone with Rhodes.
Levi's team had been betrayed and injured because of it. Trust doesn't come easily. And now, this mission Rhodes and Sienna are on has them not knowing who to trust. Even though they are in the States. In Texas. It's hard to tell friends from enemies.

Heroes for Hire Series Book Five
Flynn Kilpatrick had felt he'd done the right thing as a SEAL, but being he disobeyed orders...he was booted out. After a year of wandering, he's hoping to get on full-time with Levi's company, Legendary Security. But it looks to him like his bad luck has followed him and he's not sure where his future will be.
Anne Burrows has a small animal shelter. And a fairly boring life...until she gets a bodyguard. She enjoyed having the muscular man around to help with the animals but it was lonely when he left. And now, he's back...but has brought some type of trouble with him.
Their story begins in book three, Merk's Mistake, where Anne's friend Katina is in trouble and they send Flynn to protect Anne until the men after her friend are caught. Even in that book it hints at the fireworks between these two. Anne's temper and Flynn loving to ignite it. Another good story.

Logan Redding and Harrison are sent to Boston just for a hands-off look at some places that may be involved in human trafficking. They find more than what they expected and soon…it’s a hands-on mission.
Alina Chambers is ready to give up. She’s tied up and sees no way of escape now that her captor has left her alone for the first time. When new voices come into the apartment…she has no idea if life is about to get much worse or not. It could be more guys like her captor, thieves, or who knows. Luckily for her, it was a hero.
This is another really good story, but it’s tough thinking of the reality of human trafficking. That it’s something that really is happening here on American soil.

I got this bundle years ago and am reading it now...

This was .Jared sister, he didn’t know her circumstances
Nor the trouble she was in, trusting too much and lost because of it.
Rhodes and Sienna are in and out of trouble, would she ever be free
Childhood crushes they dance around, she was a Seal’s sister
The action seemed at times unbelievable , other wise good plot.

Heroes for Hire: Books 4-6
This set is a good purchase. All three books have hunky heroes who have to help strong female heroines. All of the books are well written with good plots and scenarios. I enjoyed reading about each hero and how they fell to the heroine. I recommend all three books.

Prefect
I've been reading Heroes for Hire straight through, books one through six. Lots of suspense (which I love) and action. There is enough romance for the feel good effect. 👍 Just loved it and was sorry to get to the end of what was already on my Kindle. I'm really looking forward to book seven and beyond from Mr. Mayer.

Another strong entry in the series
Rhodes, Flynn and Logan meet their matches in this series. Sienna, Anna and Alina don't disappoint. Logan's story seemed a little rushed but I'm still enjoying this series. Flynn and Anna are laugh loud funny. Rhodes thankfully gets past the bro code thing pretty quickly and lets Sienna know he's serious. A good quick read.

This series absolutely rocks. Suspenseful stories that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Amazing heroines in Sienna, Anna, and Alina. The Heroes are not shabby either. Lol. A must read. Can't wait for the next instalment of Heroes for Hire.
