Bosch in Perspective

Rate this book
The art of Hieronymus Bosch, steeped in symbolism and the moralistic pessism of his age, is among the most enigmatic and misunderstood in all of Western art. Illustrated with reproductions of the Netherlandish painter's most striking works, Bosch in Perspective offers broad analysis of the visionary genius who created The Garden of Earthly Delights and The Temptation of Saint Andrew.

Very important read for a basic understanding of Bosch as well as the critical and interpretative histories of his work.
