Chon is a multiracial young lady that has for most her life been belittled for being only half Japanese by her Grandmother on her father's side. However, her grandmother taught her skills added with the ones her mother taught her that has enabled her to succeed. Her brother Craig has control over her inheritance from the their grandmother and he makes her life nearly unbearable . His friend Austin was Chon's 1st love but he used her and left her wanting real love. By chance, Austin gets her an assignment with Dorian, a genius engineer that is arrogant as all heck. Dorian is attracted to Chon but is determined to treat her like crap. Chon takes the hits but keeps doing her job to the utmost. The mystery and intrigue begin when Chon finds the notebook of an engineer in the firm she is contracted to . The Engineer is later found dead and people begin to follow Chon. Chon begins a supposedly mutual beneficial relationship with her boss Dorian that ignites heat galore. However, she is then threatened by Dorian's ex Onyx Heart who is lethal. This book is filled with heat and lust with intrigue and mystery. I love any story about the Hearts. I only gave this a 4 star rating, because Ms Hubbard needs a new proofreader. There were too many typos that made reading somewhat difficult. However, over all this is a great read and I hope Ms Hubbard will pick this story back up to complete Chon and Dorian's life later.. Yes Chon has some character flaws and Dorian is hardheaded and hearted at times but aren't we all...Great Read and I am still a great fan of the Hearts..
She keeps me on the top of the roller coaster and never lets me off! I need to know when Craig gets his due, that the baby is delivered, what was on the SD cards and that Chon gets a message from her dad that he loved her the most. My heart can't take much more of Sylvia straining me along like this!!!
Cruelty has no respective entity… Raised to believe the worst of a person is bitterness portrayed… Too much control can cause avalanches to descend at an alarming rate… Treasure the purity of your loved ones because everyone has unmentionables…
Ravenous was an interesting read. I liked Chon's character and that she wanted a better and her own business. The brother and ex boyfriend left me shaking my head. I also like that other characters from the books made appearances. I enjoyed reading this book.
