Trusting Jacob

Murder. Loss. Revenge on the run.

Until recently, Claire had it all: The best relationship someone could ever ask for, a burgeoning career and a beautiful home where she and her boyfriend, Daniel, were going to raise their family. Everything was going right. The pieces of their lives were falling perfectly into place.

And then it all went so terribly wrong.

In the blink of an eye, Daniel was gone, vanished without a trace. Days later, his body was found and Claire's reality was sent reeling at the sense of profound loss and panic that festered in his absence. All of this on top of the fact that she had to attend an ill-timed work function far away from home or risk losing her only source of income.

Thankfully, her close friend Nick was by her side the whole time, helping her navigate the emotional fallout of her shocking loss. Although he's just the person to be her rock during this stressful time, it's hard to ignore his beautiful eyes and beautiful... everything else. Emotional turmoil does strange things to the libido.

What Claire and Nick don't know is that someone very powerful, someone with all right connections, is after them, and it's all somehow connected to Daniel's death. What starts with a panicked cab ride away from the work function turns downright insane when they cross paths with Jacob, a mysterious guy with an alpha personality who seems to know more than he's letting on.

But there's no time to stop and think about that now.

There's only time to run.

I’d like to give it zero stars actually!! I have several bisexual themed books by this author, I hope they aren’t all this bad. The story was dumb and lame and the sex pretty dull as well. A decent erotic novel should have at least onnnneer...the sex. Yes, the sex. A decent erotic novel should at least have good and interesting sex. Not so great story would be much more forgivable

“Jacob” turns out is a real asshole. And a drug addict. So of course when he tells our female protagonist he intends to fuck her, she gives her best effort to be offended and tell him otherwise while she is dropping her panties for him. 🙄

The bisexual interest from the the other male lead character comes up unnaturally and random. Actually the whole damn thing is unnatural. These people get nervous and anxious about being hunted by killers, so to pass the the time and “relieve stress” they have sex. Or at least mostly the asshole and the woman who Hates him but can’t keep her panties on around him even though she thinks she might actually have feelings for the other guy. The ultimate insult is when she has sex with him while worrying about the other guy getting murdered in jail. 🙄

There is no forward movement on the bisexual stuff until like 3/4 into the book. And then it’s like glossed over. Like maybe this targets female readers that are interested in it but don’t really want to hear about the guys having sex. The one guy is a gay virgin and what really killed me was after hearing about him getting blown by experienced Jacob a couple of times, the author later reveals that “off camera” out of the story whatever umm literature equivalent terminology is...he blew Jacob and did some other kinky shit. !!!??? What?? Wasn’t the whole idea for this to be an erotic bisexual story!? And you don’t write the part where the one guy sucks his first cock??! Unforgivable!
“They’d spent hours, the night before, exploring each other’s bodies, wandering in and out of different configurations. He’s damned good at sucking cock for a guy with no experience,”
What??? You’re not gonna actually write the scene? You lazy ass of an excuse of a writer of erotica!!!

So here’s another quote from the book... “How soon will they get tired of me? Prefer each other?”
Most guys whether they will admit to it or not love the girl on girl action. But it appears women that like guy on guy is alive and well just held more secretively. My wife isn’t into it. My girlfriend claims to only enjoy the romanticism that leads up to the sex. Yet I feel like the tons of gay and bisexual books are written for and by women. Some women do truly enjoy it! But. But these quote echoes what an ex-girlfriend of mine recently told me about male male female threesome’s. This was precisely her fear! Damn ladies! Why does it always have to be about you. She has had several ffm thresomes and doesn’t seem bothered by the fact that I took a guy has spent the two girls keep going at it together on and on and on well he just sits in the corner watching and crying. How soon before they get tired of me...please. This is also very insulting to the bisexual male period. It reinforces the idea that there’s really no such thing as a bisexual male. Just a guy transitioning from being straight to gay. Which is total bullshit. Women get to “play” with one another without excepting any labels of lesbian or bisexual but even those women can’t except the fact that a guy can always like both genders.

Sorry bit of a tangent. But still relevant I believe

Finally. For god’s sake the guys don’t even fuck.
Not worth reading. Anyone reading this knows of any other books that she has that are actually worth reading let me know before I delete them all.

MYSTERY/MAYHEM/MURDER AND SEX

What a great story. Because of the ex-journalist boy friend of our heroine’s “Detecting” killed him; his research landed directly on the laps of heroline’s and her two hero’s laps. Some soul searching by all three characters led them to a course that changed their lives.

Staying Alive

This is a hot romantic suspense menage. She was just getting over the breakup when he was killed. Thank goodness her friend was there for her. They are going to learn a lot more about each other while they try to solve a murder and stay alive. Enjoy I did.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Claire, Nick, and Jacob. When this book opens up Claire and her boyfriend Daniel seem to the have the ideal life. Daniel is a journalist and Claire is a computer tech. Their life seems perfect until one day Daniel comes home late one night and tells Claire that he has to break-up with her for her own safety. Two months later while at conference with Nick she gets some devastating news Daniel her now ex-boyfriend has been murdered. This starts a chain of events that have her questioning everything. Claire wonders will she ever get her life back? How will Nick and Jacob play into that new life?

Nick has always thought that Claire was beautiful, but he also knew that she was completely loyal to Daniel so he never pushed her for more than friendship. So when she gets the news that Daniel has been murdered he knows again this isn't the right time to tell her how he feels. However one slip of the tongue has Claire questioning him and him trying to find a way to hold her off. When they go to the bar that night they run into Jacob and all decide to take a cab back because none of them are in a good place to drive. However things go south real quick and all of his military training is needed to get them all out of this alive. What happens though when this is just the beginning and some of his old demons come back can he help these people or will he be the one to hurt them?

Jacob ends up at the same conference as Nick and Claire and Claire literally bumps into the back of him. He is a jerk to her but finds them later that night and decides to buy them a drink as way of an apology. After having to many to drive back to his hotel he ends up and a race for his life that he never thought he would be a part of. Jacob has demons as well and wonders can he stay close to the two people who maybe the only ones who can help him in this situation.

This is a full length novel that is full of twists and turns. For most of this book Claire questions things about herself, Daniel and their level of commitment. This book will have you saying what will happen to these people more than once. There is so much more I want to tell you about this book but do not want to ruin any of the surprises in it. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Title: Trusting Jacob
Author:Nicole Stewart
Genre:MMF Bisexual Romance

Trusting Jacob from Nicole Stewart was a great 5 star read.
Romance, Mystery, Suspense, 2 Hot Alphas

Nicole has done it again with Trusting Jacob.
We meet Claire who thought she had it all until her longtime boyfriend Daniel breaks up with her and then ends up dead a few months later. Questions keep running through her mind about certain things Danny had said to her when he broke up with her.

“But I can’t be with you. This is tearing me apart, too.” “Then why can’t you just tell me something? Anything?” “It’s to keep you safe baby.”

Nick does a great job of being there for Claire. While at a conference they meet Jacob, who seems a little shady to Claire. When Jacob joins them for a drink and shares a cab ride to the hotel something happens that causes all three of them to fear for their safety and decide to head home.

Nothing like a threat on your life to make you throw away money.

Someone is after Claire. Who are they and Why are they after her? Will she be able to protect herself, Jacob and Nick?

This story is quite the emotional rollercoaster and the sex is hot, hot ,hot, especially when Claire finds herself sharing an apartment with both Jacob and Nick. I really enjoyed the mystery, suspense, and romance. This was a change from what I’m used to reading from Nicole, I loved it.
I highly suggest you 1-Click and get started today,Thank you Nicole Stewart for another great read.

A must read if you like these books

I chose this rating because it was an excellent book. I liked the fact that these three people met randomly at different times and came together when they needed each other the most. I think Clair's ex was reckless with the whole story he was chasing even after he found out what it could cost both of them he still went after the story. I'm glad she found two men that took her safety more seriously than her ex did cutting ties with her after he was deep into it was fallacy on his part thinking she would be safe. I think in the end Nick and Jacob are better matched to her she held to some deep desires that would have never come out if it wasn't for her ex becoming her ex.
I absolutely love these kind of books although most people wouldn't understand the concept as being normal for some!!!!

This book had some potential but fell short for me.

This story gives you Claire who loses who ex-boyfriend to a mysterious murder, while away at conference, hooks up with long time straight friend Nick, who agrees just to have sex with her to help her in her grief of her boyfriend, then enters Jacob aka mysterious bisexual manwhore. For a bit, she literally goes from having sex with friend Nick, to Jacob, to Nick to Jacob all the while Nick and Jacob start flirting when Nick confesses being attracted to men although never acting on it. In the end, the 3 team up in and out of the bed friend while trying to uncover to mystery of ex-boyfriends Daniel and all the threats that being made against the 3 of the them.

Not sure what exactly was off for me, but the story just didn't click. Nonetheless I've this author before, and I will read again.

This is such a great book and definitely a bit different than previous books that I have read by this author. The suspense, the danger that lurked, was just enough to have you biting at your nails, waiting to see how things would turn out. Claire is so full of emotion after the loss of Danny and having such a strong connection with Nick is amazing to see. I love the back and forth with Jacob, that slow build between them all. It is an intense, emotional read with some amazing heat! Definitely a must!!

Another great job, Nicole. I like an erotic romance with an actual story to it. This story was interesting, fast paced, had some twists and turns along the way. The chemistry was there through out the book between Nick and Claire. Add to the mix Jacob and it sizzled. This book is a page turner that keeps your interest from start to finish. I received an ARC fro an honest review. Thanks for the opportunity.

Good erotica, ok on the suspense

I have really enjoyed every book I've read by Nicole Stewart. In this one the story line is suspenseful, there is a mystery to be solved. While all the elements were there, it was lacking a lot of detail as far as what was going on. It's great if you want a different feel to a MMF story but not if you want an in depth, detailed mystery. I liked it, but it wasn't over the top for me. I received an arc for an honest review.

This book had a lot of potential, but sadly the characters stayed one dimensional and the plot never lived up to its blurb.

I really thought Jacob was going to turn into something like an FBI agent or something, but he didn't. I thought there was really going to be some action, I mean threatening drug dealers, etc., but it was never fully realized. Granted, the story was just a vehicle for lots of sex, but really it had the potential to be something better.

A disappointing 2 stars.

New author to me and I have to say how well written this is and how life goes with the life of those you care about. It shows how to live, love and trust things that aren't normal.
When someone you care about it being hunted and the one you loved was killed. You go with what feels right although some see it as wrong. I think anyone would enjoy this book and the lesson it actually tells.

Disappointing

I was very disappointed. This story could have written in half the words. I fast forwarded several times through hundreds of pages and didn't miss anything of real important. Way to wordy. Jacob was a really weak character. Sex was not that hot.

Could have been so much more.

This story, was just that a story. I kept hoping that it would develop into something more. There was potential, it just didn't pan out.
