WOW!! I don't know how Sabrina Stark does it, but those Bishop boys keep getting better. Joel is definitely my favorite, but Jake sure gives him a run for his money. Not to say he isn't extremely frustrating in his behavior on occasion with the typical alpha male behavior, but his heart is always in the right place. Melody was more than justified in her confusion as to Joel's behavior, but is was great to see the way the brothers rubbed off on her.

Another great book from Sabrina Stark.

I received an Arc for an honest review.

Something sweet and funny!!!

The continued relationship drama unfolds with Melody and Joel in part 2. Poor Melody is just a wreck. between all her money issues and the insecurities she has, she seems to self sabotage her and Joel more than a few times. But Joel being a determined Bishop hangs tough for a really nice HEA. Lets not forget about the jerk Derek who makes his way into this story too. What I love most about Sabrina's writing style is, the story itself, and how we get personally involved in the characters and the conversations making us feel like were actually there witnessing it first hand. Enter Steve and Anthony my two favorite pizza eating beer drinking brothers, they are scene stealers that I can never get enough of. Glad to see the Bishop brothers all together again. Honestly I was kind of hoping to see Lawton make an appearance. But if your a fan of these guys like I am or just looking for a really sweet, funny, and heartfelt book you will love this one for sure.

Sabrina did it again - as she left us hanging with Something Tattered - Something True she delivered.. left off with Joel leaving with many unanswered questions for Melody, though in Joel's mind can he ever catch a break, or is that Melody who can not catch a break. Sabrina shows us and teaches us that looks can be deceiving as we have learned that Melody truly is not the "rich" girl everyone assumes, she tracks down her Bishop bad boy one last hope to be shattered. Then Sabrina throws a twist into the story, could there be a pregnancy or is this false... As Joel re-enters the pictures a lot of family secrets soon start to unravel and this is how Sabrina holds her readers and keeps us on edge... she pulls out all the Bishop bad boys but Lawton, that would of been the only part I would of changed was bring him that hottie as well. In the end, Sabrina has you fall in love yet with another Bishop and keeps you entertained with Luna's brothers Steve and Anthony.. eventually you find out all of the family secrets on both sides.. this is a must read that you can NOT put down...

Melody and Joel are back to finish what they started and are get their HEA! When we last left our H/H - scheming(stupid Derek), self-sacrificing(oh Melody) and heartache (just everyone…) was capped off with a very angry Joel leaving a broken-hearted Melody and him driving way. Now she has been been tirelessly searching for him trying everything in her power to make things right. Joel being Joel is proving to be stubborn, but Melody is determined. When she finally finds her man, she is confronted with a very cold version on the man she loves. She says her piece hoping to get through and let’s bygones be bygones. Joel says he has been staying away to keep her from being dragged down to his world and will continue to do so until the threat is taken care of and once again walks away from her. Melody is left to try and figure out a way to stick it to Derek and his stupid plans so that she can be with Joel. While working on it she discovers that the threats Derek has been making has been taken care of by Joel’s brother Jake and they can be together and it’s oh happy day as far as she can tell. When Joel shows up and proposes it seems that all is absolutely perfect for the couple now...but when the motive of the proposal is called into question there maybe trouble brewing once again for the couple. Can’t these crazy kids just work it out already?

Something True is the conclusion of Melody and Joel's story which began in Something Tattered.

I liked this story for the most part but did find some aspects of it frustrating and the storyline lost me for a while in the middle. Despite telling Melody he loves her, Joel continues to pull disappearing acts without much, or any, explanation. I found his actions and his words to be at odds with each other in parts and he did like to keep her in the dark. Although I understand he said this was in order to protect her, personally it felt disjointed to me. Because of this, I'm afraid I didn't get hugely emotionally invested in their relationship. The way Joel aways seemed to answer a question with a question or a "what do you think" became annoying and I wanted to shake him. I did, however, enjoy the inclusion of other family members and Luna's brothers, Steve and Anthony, added some great humour with their banter and practical jokes. I took great delight in the way Melody's aunt and uncle got their just deserts. Humorous moments and a sweet happy ending made this an enjoyable read overall and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is the second book in the story of Joel Bishop. The first book is Something Tattered. I would suggest you read it first so you have an idea of what is going on.
This book starts out with Melody trying to talk to Joel after a fight to warn him about Derek and his father going after him to land him in jail. He treats her like she doesn’t matter to him. This book is full of twist and turns, suspense, betrayal, lust, forgiveness, and love. Melody give up on her love for Joel? Will Joel stay away from Melody? Can Melody get of this rollercoaster of a life? Can they have a happy ending? Grab this book and get started to find out all the answers.
Sabrina is a fairly new author to me. She caught my attention with Something Tattered. She takes a sophisticated plot and adds her two dimensional characters to make a riveting book. I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

This is the second book in the series Joel Bishop. You have to have read the first because the is the follow up to that.
Joel and Melodys story continues in this book. It is well written and have strong characters. They are well described and developed. But sometimes I am a bit confused about Joel and his lack of communication with Melody. He choses not to tell her things, which I think is a mistake. He also have a kind of answering method I do not like. He very often answers with a question. Annoying. Melody is in a very dark place both emotional and financial situation. This makes her very insecure and that have an effect on her relationship with Joel. Both characters have a lot of issues to deal with and that affects their relationship and surroundings. I like the supporting characters especially family and friends. They give the story humor and new aspects.

Sabrina Stark, how could you do me like this??? I've waited so long for more about the Bishop brothers especially Joel and to leave with this pain staking cliffhanger, It's just so wrong. Ok, so I'm angry at the author but let's talk about what I liked about the book...EVERYTHING but the ending. I thought about bumping it down to 4* but this book is just too good. I think Joel and Melody are my favorite couple out of all the Bishops and their women. Joel is so complex with many different layers to him. Some very surprising. I adored this character. Melody is the ultimate nice girl. She's sweet, naive, strong and full of hope despite the hand life has dealt her. The two compliment each other perfectly that you can't help but believe that destiny brought them together. If only, they can get rid on the outside forces trying to rip them apart. Now please hurry with the sequel.

Okay...so I almost quit reading this since, even though it doesn't saying it the tittle or linked to another book on goodreads, this is a part 2. So started off you are interested but kind of confused unless you read the first one, which I didn't. But I kept reading hoping the blanks would be filled in and in some ways they did but I definitely think you should read the other one first. And And her reading this one I want to. It kept you turning the pages to see what happened between Melody and Joel...and what both sets of brothers would do. Those Bishop Boys like trouble it seems...and I love the antics of Steve and Anthony. While I was still confused with somethings I think a lot of that would be cleared up if I read the first book.

I received an ARC of this story through Hidden Gems and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I did not read the first book in this series and I feel that caused a little confusion for me at the beginning, but overall this book was pretty closed to being able to be a standalone story. I liked this story and I wanted to love it, but something just felt very stilted to me about the story. The story seemed very abrupt and jarring even at times. I never was able to just got lost in the story although I did enjoy reading it. For the most part, the characters just didn't have an emotional, real feeling to me. I did love Luna's brothers, Steve and Anthony, though. They added a lot of great humor that kept the story moving for me and really came the closest to having a real feeling for me. Melody and Joel are a sweet couple and it was nice to see them get their HEA.

Part two of the Joel Bishop story could not come soon enough. When we last encountered Joel he was on his way out of the door leaving Melody devastated.
Fast forward a few weeks and we find Melody coming to her senses and trying to find her man. Unfortunately Joel finds no reason to keep on the straight and narrow, choosing to go back into the illegal fight game.
The reunion of Melody and Joel is fraught with misunderstanding and misplaced protective attitudes.
Luckily Joel and Melody realise what they have is the real deal.
I loved the comic elements provided by the evil aunt and uncle.
I do enjoy the way Sabrina Stark writes and will always either buy or borrow via KU as soon as a new book appears.
Looking forward to whatever comes next.

rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. a continuation from Smtg Tattered we see melody on the hunt for joel.to tell him the truth and when she finds him he just plain ignores her. after a heated encounter Joel yells melody he's not coming back...devastated melody goes home but has a game plan. she searches out Jake, Joel's brother and his fiance Luna for help. the next thing she knows Joel is on his knee proposing to melody but only.bc he thinks she's preggers. Lukas crazy brothers show up to help with home repairs while Derek continues being an asshat. melody is wayy in over her heard. lies are being told, truth withheld and family secrets are revealed. will melody trust jiel again or will her heart say no.

Something True by Sabrina Stark

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

Book 1 left me in pieces. Not nice Ms. Stark! Not, nice. But alas book 2 is here and all is well with the world again.

There are moments in a book
that are just so ...satisfying. For instance, a total jerk wad hemming and hawing for words, or a friend having just the right zinger to say at just the right time. This book is full of those! I love it!!
The banter is just hilarious, and in the end, all the bad guys get their just reward, and the good guys...what do you think? They live happily ever after. Something true is a funny, sweet and utterly satisfying read.

I'm so happy I volunteered to review this advanced reader copy. I read the first book and was astounded with the ending, but I have to say this one more than made up for it. Even with the ups and downs from the main characters, the extended family made up for it ten fold. Luna's brothers are a riot, and Joel's brothers are what siblings are made of. Even with all the messed up things Jake never admitted to before, once the truth was out in the open, things were so much better for them all. Finding out about the will and what Derick and his father had put her through was something that would make anyone mad. I cannot wait to see more from this author!

I loved it! Reading this novel was like visiting old friends. This novel from the first page to the last grabbed me and I could not stop reading. A great novel for me is when a novel sucks you in and you care about the characters. This novel did that for me there were times I felt like crying for Melody, and wanted to slap Joel, and other moments that were laugh out loud funny. I loved all the the other family members we were able to touch base with. I loved Luna's brothers. I can't wait to see what this author has in store for her next novel.

Pretty good story, though I felt it was a little disjointed in several places, (but that may be because I haven't read the first part of a two part story). But for the most part, enjoyable read. I would read this author again if the opportunity presented itself to me. Likable characters. My score = 3 stars.

I don't leave synopsis of a book, as the author's blurb does a much better job then I ever could, nor do I leave spoilers as I feel this does an injustice to subsequent readers. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Book 2 of the series, the story is still intense.
The behavior of some characters from the book 1 are explain in this one and finally, Melody is no more alone. New friends comes to support her with what they have or they give time to her to help her.
Her relation with Joël he’s still complicate and the first chapters is hard. The author keeps us on our toes in each chapter, with misunderstandings betrayals, laughs.
Really excellent and well written story with excellent characters.

Loved loved loved it! This second book was a great conclusion to Melody and Joel's story. I loved them in the first book and continued living them in this one. Sabrina did a great job connecting the ready to Melody; you could really feel exactly what she felt. All characters were beautifully written! I think my favorite (besides Melody and Joel) were Steve and Anthony, they were hilarious!! I highly recommend both Something Tattered and Something True. 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book...

I loved the final part of the Joel Bishop series. I wanted to knock him in the head a few times while reading this one. He was such a big jerk! The plot continues from book 1. It's still interesting and the story-line flows smoothly throughout. I loved the characters. They were well-developed and easily relatable. I was glad to see that they got their HEA. I was beginning to wonder if they would while reading the story. Luna's brothers were the bomb! Hilariously funny. I hope to read more about them in the future.....

This is the conclusion to Something Tattered. Joel and Melody are still at odds with each other. It ended well, but I found the middle part of the story a little hard to follow. The lawyers are not looking out for Melody's interests, Joel gives mixed messages and doesn't seem to be quite the alpha male I was expecting. Also, although there continues to be some sexual tension between them, it tends to fizzle out some, rather than becoming more explosive, but that might be just my own tastes. I enjoyed it, but it was a little tamer than expected.

This is book two in the Joel Bishop Series. The first book is Something Tattered and it is best if you read that first. This is a great second chance romance who no shortage of drama or twists. An emotional roller coaster. This book is told from Melody's POV. The secondary characters are hilarious and will keep you in stitches. A good conclusion to Melody and Joel's story. I received an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

Great story about Melody (a tough heiress) and Joel (a fighter and artist). It was great to see the story develop and conclude from "something tattered". It made me laugh out loud at times but was also nice and sentimental too. I loved Luna's two brothers, hahaha. I would highly recommend this book. I received this book free as an arc for an honest review.

Fabulous ending to a wonderful romance.

Loved the second book of Melody and Joel's story. Some problems got sorted to improve the state of their romance and love. All the main characters of the Bishop Brothers series were prominently viewed.. Love the craziness of Luna's brothers. The ending was perfect. I'm going to miss these people.

This is the second book in the series. You will need to read the first book to understand the storyline and characters. Something True continues with Melody being heartbroken because she sent Joel packing. Will Joel forgive her and come back? Can Melody and Joel find their HEA ending? I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.

I think I have a headache from reading this duet. So many vague answers from Joel. That would have driven me nuts. I think his answer to everything was "you know". I hope Melody knew because I didn't know. I did like Steve and Anthony but they seem to play the role of dumb brothers. I hope if they get their own books they act a little more mature than the other characters.

So this chick is clueless and highly annoying. Then again so is every character in this book.

She's STILL getting robbed by her own family. She's STILL getting harassed by people who are supposed to be family friends but who are thieves. And Joel comes off as a big riddle.

There's an HEA at least.
