A Navy SEAL. A vigilante warrior. A bizarre alliance with lasting consequences.

Mal has been fighting terrorism and fascism in Europe since he was a child. It’s a rough life, but he believes in his cause. He saves people every day, from terror attacks and worse.

When he first encounters SEAL Team Twelve, they’re an inconvenience – albeit a very attractive one. The next time he encounters them, they’re in the same place, looking for the same crew. When Mal and his sister intervene to save the SEALs’ lives, he’s thrown into a mission from which there is no turning back.

Trent’s an Alpha Navy man, from a long line of Navy men. Being a SEAL, though, is a new honor in the Kelly family. Trent feels the honor keenly, and he’s proud to serve on the only all-alpha platoon. He’s attracted to Omega Mal when they meet, but he tries to keep his passions to himself - until they just can’t keep their hands off one another anymore.

Mal and Trent’s superiors forge an uneasy alliance, throwing them back together for better or for worse. Just when Mal turns out to be pregnant, the SEALs are yanked home by internal politics.

Will Mal and Trent’s attempt to start a family together be doomed before it begins, or will they find a way back to each other? And what about the terrorist conspiracy they were supposed to be fighting?

Hot and heavy passion meets sizzling action in this 100,000-word gay M/M mpreg romance novel, SEALing His Fate. Extra steamy scenes make this story suitable for adults only.

Even though I was dubious about how the book would go (I had stopped reading books with army/SEAL characters because I don’t always go for books as intense and emotional as they can be), I ended up REALLY enjoying the book.

The prequel got me interested into the series, it was one great short story, so I went ahead and tentatively picked up SEALing His Fate. The start was a bit of a stumbling block for me, because starting right in the middle of a mission didn’t let me have much of an introduction to Mal and Trent (Kelly), so much so as to having me almost DNF the book.

But then I thought of all the good reviews the book got and decided to persevere for a bit longer. Thankfully, I got into the whole journey, and I can honestly say this is the best work so far by the author. I haven’t read many of his books, but I can still tell a polished story apart from an amateur attempt. And this book certainly falls in the former category.

The delivery episode was absolutely charming. Mal made me fall in love with him even more. I recommend the book to all the MPREG lovers who can stand a bit of a scare.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*So confused*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

I.... I did not understand this book at all. For one, there was tons of information. Too much information and not of the right kind. Two, nothing was explained; why did omegas and alphas exist? Is it a DNA thing? Is it a supernatural thing? Is is a normal thing? I just didn't get it. I got so tired of being confused that I started skimming after 45% and stopped (caring would be a too strong word to use) trying to actually enjoy it. It was probably even before that but who cares. Hell, I don't even know what to tag this book.
“You know there's no future there.”
“I'm aware.”

There was also nothing special about Malachi ‘Mal’ O'Donnell (25) and Alpha Navy SEAL man, Trent Kelly (33?). Mal was not a character you'd care for. He was cold and selfish, specially towards his unborn child. And Trent just was. He was there, but I didn't care. Overall I seriously regret reading this one. I hate being confused, specially when it last throughout the whole book. Though it seems like I'm one of the few who didn't like the book, so... Anyway, I'm not gonna continue the series.
“I can't just walk away from my country, from the SEALs.”
“But you expect me to walk away from everyone and everything I've ever known” Mal pinched the bridge of his nose. “And you expect me to play the obedient little omega, the good little vessel, even though I'd be killed for it.”

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Paranormal (?) Romance (M/M)
Series: - Series (Can Be Read As A Standalone), Book One.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - No one.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Probably not.
Would I recommend this book/series? - No.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2 stars.

Color me impressed - I didn't expect to like this one as much as I did. I absolutely loved Mal and adored how he stood up for himself, didn't let himself be sidelined or set aside for being an Omega. Sure, how he got his skills and how that group chose to deal with terrorist situations was a bit dicey, but an original story for me. I liked that. I felt like it was just a bit too repetitive in the social/romance scenes...like at times the relationship took a back seat to the action. Which, I guess could be seen as a metaphor for how relationships with active SEAL members (or anyone on the front-lines) can be rough.

A word of warning though: This book is HELLA political. Lots of commentary (that I agreed with, but still). Don't let the summary or the first few incidents sway you should you choose to read it; there is no Muslim-bashing (at least not by the MCs or major side characters). No blanket blame casting aspersion on an entire religion. In fact, there's a whole other source of money and radicalization - which I swear, the more I think about it the more it makes complete fucking sense, too...especially given online agitators and all of these recently suspended/deleted TwitterBot and fake FB accounts. Also, how they aren't actually dealt with and seem to originate right back here in good ole 'Muricah rings entirely too true.

I'm actually excited to read the next one(s) in this series, especially as that Neo-Nazi group hasn't been ferreted out, the connections haven't been severed, the links to US business/politicians haven't been investigated, I'm not sure how they're getting Daesh and other extremists to do their work for them...so, yeah, sounds like we're in for a rough ride. (Hell, I'd probably read Morna's book if AB writes a Het or FF or MMF or whatever story for her, too. So long as she's still in the service - maybe kicking ass as a SEAL herself.)

Wow!

I read the prequel and couldn't wait to read this one. I will definitely recommend this book. And I'm patiently waiting for the book two with Tom.

Trent, a navy seal, falls for Malachi, who is apart of the Wolves, a vigilante group. The fact that he's a criminal is not discouraging Trent from being with Mal. But when Mal finds out he's pregnant he is scared because he can't leave the Wolves. Your only out is death. Trent is doing everything possible to get him to the US but it's proving difficult.

Mal continues with his vigilante work and Trent continues with his orders. Will these two find a way to be together and raise their baby? Well if Chief Boone has anything to say about it, it might be possible.

A exciting and thrilling book.

I really enjoyed this one and can't wait for the next book in the series. I loved the covert side of things and the diggin in and finding out where everyone is and who is finding whom. And on top of that, you have the two MC's tring to figure out how they are going to make it as a family.

Navy Seal meets vigilante.

This would make a good book if you like military-type material mixed in with a drop of erotic romance and I mean just a drop. I think there was one sex scene in the entire book. But I know all about "White Dawn".
I'll be honest there were a lot of pages I just had to skip because I got bored at all military talk.
It's definitely a well written book and well-researched but it kind of bored me.

Drawn Together by Fate despite Everything that Attempted to Keep them Apart

Originally I felt because there were so many covert operations and so much military action, that I was disappointed. Where was my romance? Where was my Omega? Where was my mpregnancy? Then I got to know Mal and his sister, Morna. She was equally as tough and clever as he was. The Navy Seals were initially not all that impressive. In particular Petty Officer Trent. Despite sage advice from his superior and Mal's sister, Trent kept his head ostrich deep in the sand.

Then I got into the meat of the book and was completely hooked. I had to know what would happen next. Even with the military campaigns / covert operations I was on pins & needles as the men and Morna went out to do what they trained daily for years to perform. They wouldn't have been allowed to be part of the team if they weren't the very best.

Learning about the Wolf Pack & how they raised (a term I use loosely) their children to be ruthless, devious, and resourceful, in achieving their objectives or completing their assignments dictated by one of the heads of operations, Mal & Morna's "Da". Loyalty, fearlessness, and toughness are hallmarks of the non-shifter pack members of the Wolves. But unfortunately that is interspersed with betrayal, cruelty, and fear among the Wolf Pack.

Mal was not your typical Omega. He'd been raised by a tyrannical father and leader who did not tolerate weakness especially in his daughter or Omega son. His tough, brass, jovial outward appearance made Mal seem impervious to the feelings a baby - an unexpected pregnancy might engender. He was very pessimistic, about his Da finding out, the baby's father's reactions, and his own chances of surviving childbirth.

A huge bone of contention was Mal continuing to do his "job" & well despite his pregnancy. Trent, his Navy Seal lover, acted like a complete jerk sometimes - other times he was too protective for the wrong reasons. He and other crew members had some distinct ideas about Alpha and Omega roles. Omegas or even women had no place amongst the Seals, or similar operations even though Morna & Mal demonstrated they could do it exceptionally well.

Among Trent's more idiotic ideas / beliefs / thought processes, was that Mal might not be able to be a good father to the baby, so it could just go stay with Trent's Uncles, the Naval men who had raised him. He couldn't even see how his causal callousness impacted Mal and their "relationship". But luckily Mal was one (tough) Omega. Smart, super fantastic with computers, dedicated, a stand up guy - who didn't take crap from anyone - not even Trent.

There is a HEA for this couple, but it takes a lot of hard work, angst & a miracle. The secondary characters were great sounding boards, reasonable men, and superb Seals, well most of them anyway. They made the book entertaining and their humor made "war" bearable. These moments of levity were necessary as a balance for the atrocities of war. Be forewarned there is a great deal of violence in this book. As is the case of the Second Book in the series, SEALED TOGETHER.

The Prequel, SEALED WITH A KISS also had a surprising amount of violence for a short story about a couple having marital problems. Compounded by several kids, deployments, a major crisis, and lack of understanding / communication. It was a very nice set up for the series' First Book: SEALING HIS FATE.

Great! A really tense and passionate romance with plenty of action!

Mal is a fighter for a vigilante style organization, born to it generations in. Trained since a child, Mal's whole life is fighting terrorism. When a job his organization sends him on puts him at the same side as Navy SEALs, Mal finds him and his sister working with these unlikely allies, especially the team leader Trent.

Trent is an alpha and has had a normal childhood and sees worth in protecting America. He is rather a traditional alpha and has funneled all of that into being a SEAL. He believes in America, he believes in the chain of command, and he believes in family and relationships. When he meets Mal much of this is turned on its head. Mal is an omega but he is as strong and savvy as any soldier. Mal thinks that America is a post-apocalyptic wasteland already lost. Mal works to fight terrorism in Europe and gives everything to the fight, knowing that his own happiness and life are devoted to giving others the chance of a safe happy life. Trent finds this so unusual for an omega, especially when Mal continues to fight even after becoming pregnant.

I loved the way that Mal was. He is strong and believes in the things he does. As much as Mal hates the way he has grown and lived, he sees that this is what he has and is willing to fight to keep what he has in his own choices. When Trent believes that Mal should give up everything that he is to have a baby, Mal fights against that with everything he has. It was great how he was willing to point out the hypocrisy of Trent and those around him. Everyone would always say that it was impossible for Trent to give up his country and family, and yet Mal should move to America and understand; Mal would point out that doing so would be giving up his own country and family and no one seemed to care. Mal was an omega willing to fight for himself and having his own rights and power, even in the face of an angry alpha. It was satisfying to see, as was watching his sister stand up for him.

Trent and Mal build up their relationship much slower than usual for a Bates book. They sleep together very quickly, but are doing so out of mutual lust. Their relationship builds after the fact, as they continue to work together, and then as they continue to keep contact. Mal is slow to trust and doesn't really know love or affection, so he is new to learning about it. Trent is not the best at remembering or understanding Mal's past and takes time to see what it means for Mal, and so takes time to be the alpha that Mal actually needs. Watching them grow in their relationship was a great read, and is happening in conjunction with the fast paced plot. It was a great read and I am curious about how the rest of the series will go!

Audiobook version.

Before reading this book, you should know it's in an Omegaverse. If you don't already now anything about it, read this beforehand.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.watt...
It's generalities about Omegaverses but it helped me a lot.
A little introduction of the universe could have avoid confusion for new readers. I wasn't confused because though it was my first Omegaverse book, I read a review of a confused reader which pushed me to do a little search and found this good explanation.

It was also my first MPreg Romance. I was a bit disappointed by the 2 only sex scenes which are at the beginning of the book. Their were a bit short for me. And after we just have resume sentences saying they had sex. That's... anticlimactic. I'm not sure if it's the MPreg style or this author or just this book though. It left me wanting and I think we missed a lot of their interactions and the building of their relationship.
Also, I understand Mal perfectly but I have a real hard time to see Trent. And I still have no idea what Mal sees in him or what would have pushed him to build a relationship with him if their wasn't the baby. I understand that's most of Mal's reluctance his born of fear of his own job and father and that he doesn't really don't want the relationship and the baby but I still think Trent doesn't even try to see what he ask of him...
What I did love was there was no instalove. They had attraction and build their relationship afterwards, like in reality. But I would have like a bit more chemistry. And Mal personality is so big and interesting, I would have like Trent to be a bit more. The only traits I can tell you about him are stubborn and a bit old fashion, nice but a bit self-centred... or baby-centered.

One last point : I'm French and I have no idea how Mal can think that the USA could be like a Mad Max post-apocalyptic country ! That's the least realistic thing in this book because it's way too closed minded for Mal with his self-education and skills. I don't have his skills at researching and analyzing informations and most I know do comes from books and TV and I don't have this idea of the US. I do think you have wrong ideas about French people... and maybe I'm not sure you know what good food and good beer are but I think that last one is my own prejudice. 😉

So this book left me dubious. I'm not sure I liked it but I didn't didn't like it either ? I'm not sure if it's the genre, the author style, the story or the characters though. The writing was ok and the voice in the audiobook was fine.
I will read the next one of this series to see. And because I'm curious after the last chapter introducing the next couple !

“SEALing His Fate” by Aiden Bates is a m/m m-pregnancy story that is part of the ‘SEALed With a Kiss’ series. This book features SEAL Trent Kelly as he and his team cross paths with Mal and Morna O’Donnell, members of a ruthless but effective anti-fascist organization called Europa’s Wolves. Trent’s instant connection with Mal is mutual, but their lifestyles and obligations threaten their growing relationship, even as they forge an even closer bond. The by-the-book SEAL alpha will have to utilize every resource at his disposal if he’s going to try to make a life with his very unconventional omega lover, and that still may not be enough.

The subgenre of male pregnancy has always been a category I have steered away from because I was having trouble suspending disbelief long enough to appreciate the story itself. That changed when I had the opportunity to read stories written by this author. Not only does she pen entertaining and fun stories, but she creates unique and enthralling situations that keeps one turning pages, wondering how things will work out. I confess to being bemused by the “oops” pregnancies that abound in the stories, and I still think the stories would benefit from a summary of the alpha and omega origins because I kept thinking shapeshifters would appear when I read the first few books by this author.

This particular story has a timely connection to current global conflicts and political issues with the addition of a few (hopefully) fictional complications. What I found most fascinating was the way it turned the stereotypes of omegas on end and I really enjoyed watching these males strike sparks off of each other. Many of the secondary characters deserve their own time in the spotlight (and the prequel to this story, “SEALed with a Kiss” gives a new perspective on one of them) and I hope there will be many more adventures featuring these sexy SEALs.

I received a copy of this story for review

This is the first book in the SEALED With A Kiss series.

The two main characters in this book are Mal, an omega and Trent, an alpha.

Mal has been part of a vigilante group, along with his sister, Morna, who take out anyone who is a threat to society. They were born into this group, which is run by their father, and there’s just no getting out. The only way out usually is through death.

Trent is a Navy SEAL just like his father and uncle before him. He’s proud to serve his country and takes pride in it. His team are like brothers to him and he’d do anything for them.

While on their own missions, Mal and Trent cross paths and Mal and his sister, Morna. Trent takes Mal and Morna into custody and interrogates them. He doesn’t want to be, but Trent just can’t stop admiring Mal. Mal is a very attractive man and Trent cant help but notice that.

Somehow Mal and Morna help out Trent and the SEALS in trying to figure out a terrorist plot. As they begin working closer together, things between them begin to take shape and before they know it, there’s no going back.

They face life and death daily but how much do they have to endure in order to be together?

This book is a great start to the series. The characters had excellent character development and the story itself was so much more detailed. I really can’t wait to read the next one.

Score: SOLID 4

The book did not have much spice and it's more on the progress of the characters and how the work affects their lives.

Characters:

Malachi O'Donnel - I love him and his character. He focuses on work and he does not get influenced by his Love to do the right thing. Even though he accepted that he might not want to have a child due to his upbringing he still has that dreamer vibes that everyone should have. Personally I do not think that he is being unreasonable in the steps of either aborting or giving the child up for adoption; he was so real in not bringing a child in their world where they have to grow up like him and his sister where they didn't even have a choice. He loves Trent and I'm so happy that He and his Sister are living the peaceful life they deserve.

Trent Kelly - He is not the smartest guy, but he is indeed a good and kind guy. He really gave his all for Mal to bring him to Virginia Beach and to keep his promise of giving a good life to Mal and the child, which made Mal have that dream again that he has a chance. He is the opposite of Mal. He is that guy that thinks that everything will be resolved and he is a little bit submissive, probably due to his Grandmother (I hate btw. Good thing Mal made a point about it that abused and did not want to subject Trent and their child to that abuse) twisted way of thinking.

Interesting take on the pregnancy element -- as ridiculous as this is to say with this particular trope -- this seems to be a realistic portrayal of the push/pull of expectations and firmly entrenched biases between two career people when one ends up pregnant. Change the omega to female and it might just capture what life can be like for some women.

Uncomfortable yet accurate portrayal of the US's current culture and political climate from an outside perspective.

With respect to the story, I wouldn't say that this is a romance, per se. Lots of time hops, lots more telling about feelings but not as much showing. Some of the best conversations about the relationship weren't between the main characters. I'm a reader who likes to see the umph, the nitty gritty with emotions and I didn't get that here. There were so many places where there could have been a deeper dive but it was just glossed over ("starving and dehydrated for a week alone").

All in all -- I liked it and am looking forward to the next one.

What an amazing book. A story that pulls you in so much and the characters that feel so real you feel like you know them. Even though there were the two main characters, Mal and Trent, every character had an important role in the book. The story line was fantastic, it draws you in with both the fear of terrorism and fight of good men doing the right thing to save lives. Trent is a Navy seal, he follows orders no matter what...that is what a seal does. Mal works for what some would consider a less honorable group. But they to set out to save lives and do away with prejudice and terrorism, only they do it outside the law. These two honorable men come together to save lives and in the process create one. How can it work when Mel is hunted by governments and there is no out for him. Trent will find a way, lets face it, he knows the right people. Loved the HEA. This is an exciting start to a new series by Aiden Bates! I really enjoyed this booked, packed with action and a great story! Trent and Mal seem unlikely at first, given that Trent is a Seal and Mal is vigilante, but these two have a great story together.

While on missions these two meet and while it's tense and untrusting at first, these two learn that they can help each other. I really enjoyed these two together and their journey is definitely intense and exciting! Aiden Bates does a fantastic job with character development, I really felt like I got to know this group. Mal and Trent are a great mix of intense, passionate and definitely snarky at times, in the best way. I absolutely loved the way their story came together, just made my heart so happy! I'm already looking forward to more in this series!

3.5 stars (probably closer to a 3, if it weren't for Mal). Once more, another book my Aiden Bates where I'm not crazy over the alpha. Him and Luke seemed to have switched personalities from the prequel, which if I hadn't read it right before reading this, I may not have noticed. On the other hand, I absolutely love Mal. It is just as dramatic as the other ones, but that is to be expected with a series revolving around SEALs. I thought the part at the end with Trent's family, his grandmother especially, was unnecessary... there was already enough conflict in this story that just throwing that out there randomly with no resolution at the end just didn't really make a whole lot of sense. Maybe focusing on Mal's father instead of adding a new character at the end would have been more satisfying for me.

An intense book, the plot gripped me from beginning to end and the problems between the characters was intense! The whole idea of a whole group of terrorist going under the radar also made things uncomfortable.

Character breakdown;

Mal: Irish living a nomad life (basically) and never truly knowing what love and family means things were not easy for him to accept. Mal made me feel for him but I loved that no matter what he still kept some hope regardless.

Trent: Navy SEAL and alpha even though I did not agree how he handled things with Mal I did get where he was coming from. The man was more than willing to go to hell and back for his loved ones.

Like I said earlier the conflict between the two characters was intense but felt more real. Since things like these do happen everyday. I am definitely picking up the next book!

The characters are well developed and you will follow their adventures, one after the other, sitting on the tip of your chair and not being able to put the book down.
Even if you don't like Mpreg romances this is a book you may enjoy.

SEALing His Fate is Book 1 in the SEALed With A Kiss series. This isn't a sweet mpreg story. It's fill of action as Trent, an alpha navy seal, and Mal, an omega wolf fighter, are fighting terrorism across Europe. They didn't start fighting together but ended up that way. Trent wasn't sure about Mal and his sister at first but he soon realized they were valuable. Trent also fell for Mal and when he ended up pregnant he wanted to do everything he could to ensure their safety, which wasn't easy. It was a long road but they got their happy ending. This book is action packed and will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Narrator Austin Jay does an absolutely amazing job.
