Uriel Henderson hoped he didn’t regret calling on the woman that had shattered his heart, but she was his family’s only hope. When she made her entrance, he didn’t expect the pitter patter of his heart to ignite like nitroglycerin. It had been years, and the pain was still raw. But, at that moment, he knew that her love still had a hold on him. Somehow, he had to cope with this “everlasting love” and keep on stepping in order to keep his sanity. Cleo Hunter’s heart beat so loud, it felt like she was playing the drums at a rock concert. Why? Because before her stood the man she would love even in death. All she wanted to do was fall into his arms and cry the pain and hurt away. But, one look at Uriel Henderson, and all she saw was hatred radiating from the depths of his dark cold eyes. Was it too late for them or could they fight the demons of the past together.
Thank goodness it is the weekend, and I did not have to choose between finishing this book and losing my job. There is no way I could have put this book down.
This installment of the Brotherhood Series has everything I love in a book. Passion, humor suspense, family love and antics from the children.
I cried, laughed and cried again. I identified with the characters to the degree that I felt their pain and anguish. It was a well throughout story line that was fast-paced enough to keep the reader enthralled.
What amazes me about this author is how she weaves a story plot that flows into another book, but does not leave you feeling as though you have been cheated with a cliff hanger, even though you know there is more to the story.
Cleo and Uriel had a love that was able to withstand the forces of hatred, with the help of their loved ones. Cleo had a strength of character that was tested, but she stood strong, even when she stumbled.
I love these families, and love their sense of family that transcends bloodlines. Ms Lee has truly become one of my favorite writers. I look forward to books written by her with anticipation. Please keep them coming.
PS: Does anyone else feel that a book is missing involving Cat after she and Duke went through their test of love and faith? Or did I miss a book.
This book was the best book on the series. It was worth the wait. I laughed, I cried, I was shocked and surprised. I am so glad that the twins did belong to some in this unique family. Thank you for bringing all the family together. The best little info was the acknowledgement of Cat an Dukes little angel. She was not mentioned in Sender's book. I enjoyed seeing back to her old self. I love it when the girls kick butt. Cannot wait for next book. You keep writing and I will keep reading.
I have never been disappointed with any book that Ms. Vivian has written. I am so glad that love won over evil. I'm so glad that Uri got the love of his life back and that his heart wasn't really harden towards Cleo. I'm glad Cleo didn't follow her mind and continued to listen to her heart in regards to Uriel and her babies. Another fascinating read and I've loved this series like all you others.
I just wanted to amend my previously written review. This is my favorite read out of all of her books, the Heart series, Found Love series and the Brotherhood series. If you like strong unforgettable characters who leap off the page then read this book. You will be hooked as a reader of her books after you read this. It should come with a warning. " reading this book will make you addicted to all of her books". Enjoy!!!
I LOVED this book .Cleo and Uriel story was worth waiting for.I couldn't put it down and when I finished I reread it again. This book will make you happy and sad but Ms.Lee always gives use the happy ending we want with little teases of who's next? It really doesn't matter we will be waiting
VRL done gone and did it AGAIN!! If you haven't read this series you r truly missing out!! This one had me in tears😔 it was heartbreaking and suspense filled throughout! Finally the truth behind Uri and Cleo revealed! Oh what Cleo and her mom went through unbelievable! Not gonna spoil it but this book is a must read!! Loved it!!!
Uri and Cleo! I enjoyed this story from the 1st word. It was never a dull moment watching them find their way back to true love overcoming evil. Oh let me not forget the supporting cast. It's always good to catch up with the rest of the family. Read this book. Better yet read the series it is fantastic.
Excellent read I loved the storyline and characters. Uriel and Cleo are a great couple. There was a lot of plots that all came together. I don't think the general is dead. I recommend this book. Vivian Rose Lee is my favorite author and I can't wait for the next book.
When is part two coming out. The general is not dead. The doctor gives him a shot. He had his lawyer. Set things up for him. So was the pill a distraction. You did not take him to the gravesite.l
The lose ends leave an option to continue the book. I don t remember Tokyo. Or the twin agents. Sister Carol is a loose end. Looking forward to the next book.
From book one (1) to book (5), I have been Hooked and Engrossed in this series! The fact that these strong Alpha men are not only protective but ROMANTIC has enhanced my love for each plot and character! My friends also love this author and evert series. We cannot wait to read Tokyo!
I loved this story, Uri and Cleo are two strong people and their journey was rough but love won. It's always good to see all of the others family members of the Heart Series show.
I always enjoy reading about this family and their friend's. You can always count on there being drama laughter suspense and most of love and unity. It's such a pleasure to meet back up with David and Duke along with the wife. Love it Viv.
I love Uriel and Cleo! How they overcame the obstacles in their lives. And it was nice catching up with everyone. I love how each chats are making they way in the stories! I hate this had to end but so can't wait for the next one!
I am never disappointed when I purchase your books, I know I am about to read some GOOD stuff. I love how the families support each other. Your books give me my normal back with all of the crazy that is going on in this USA. Keep writing the great stories.
OMG! What a story! I knew Uri and Cleo's story would be explosive (and it was). I thought Stone and Becca (story) was a great novel but this one put the rest to shame. Couldn't put it down. Great series.
A must read.I knew Cleo would win Uri over. They love hard.Uri the alpha male is a whipped punk like his other brothers and family members.Just know this book is a page turner.ViVi can't wait until we get our next book
I love this story. Love Cleo and Uriel, definitely one of my favorite couple. Communication is the key. Everyone needs a family as supportive as the Howards, Whalens, Singletons, Hendersons and others. Great story Ms Lee thank you for sharing.
I absolutely love this family they show that an alpha male can hAve an alpha woman and not feel less than. From beginning to end I was wrapped up in Cleo and Uri's story it was amazing. I hope to read about Zada I'm sure she is something else !!!
So I read this book out of order and it became clear as the other characters had history that I didn’t know about. But it did not deter me. This was a good story and...the general is alive.
An exciting story with lots of twists and turns. Cleo's father General Hunter is a powerful military officer. He marries a biracial woman and adopts her daughter. But he is an evil and controlling man with an evil plan for both of them.
Great story!!! I've been waiting for Uri & Chloe's story and it did not disappoint. A lot of strength was shown in this story. Can't wait for the next one!
