Tayna Johnson is a thirty-something architect with a loving husband. He gives her almost everything she could want or need. Almost everything. Stan Cobb is a busy contractor who's the boss at work, but, in the bedroom, turns the reins over to his wife. They both have needs and desires that their partners can't or won't satisfy. So they must turn to each other for sexual fulfillment. Their arrangement works like a charm, until the day Stan's wife comes home early from a business trip. Now both Tayna and Stan have to figure out how to save their affair, while also saving Stan's marriage. Excerpt "Tayna felt a tingle as his wrists brushed across her chest. It was a nonchalant touch, unintended. Stan was busy with the buttons. She longed to feel his hands grope her. She thought about asking him to stop and play, but that was not her place this evening. His pleasure was paramount, hers was secondary. Tayna felt vulnerable. She was no longer an architect, a wife, a professional. All those masks of modern society had been stripped away. Now she was just a woman shivering in eager anticipation before the man who would soon take her. " This 24,000 word story contains strong language and graphic sexual content. It is for mature readers with immature tastes.

This is the third book I’ve read from this author. Most of his stories are too short for me. This novella was on the edge, but I liked the premise.

Two couples with genuine love in their marriages: very different relationships in the bedroom. One is consensual non-monogamy, the other a D/s relationship with light but strict BDSM with a cheating husband. The cheating is about to be discovered - what to do?

Of course there’s an elaborate scheme of seduction to “win over” the “wronged” party.

I thought this story was a good exploration of loving couples where at least one party doesn’t get what they need in the bedroom. One partner “won’t give” what the other partner “needs”. In the other relationship, one partner “won’t let” their partner do things. It’s an exploration of how partners “get around” fixed patterns in the bedroom.

As all is revealed, this skillful author showed how broadening one’s thinking is freeing, opening new opportunities for greater enjoyment.

I was close to giving 5, but settled on 4 Stars. There was just too much left unwritten. Of course there’s the “where do we go from here” for the two couples. The “how did they get there” for the D/s couple. And how did the relationships within the couples evolve, or did they? Plus, there is a story outside of the sex that just gets dropped (although Bradley in his review shot holes in the outside story).

After 7 years, I’m not expecting a sequel, which is disappointing. There’s much more I’d like to know about these couples.

4 Stars until the sequel is published.

unfortunately not his best

This just missed on so many issues.

First I would say don’t right things into the story line you don’t know anything about. Her as an architect… most likely not at her age. Having her own firm… definitely not at her age. Doing a high rise building… no way at her age. It would be against the ethical standards. She isn’t qualified.

The changes being requested? 2 “handicapped” stalls aren’t required and they are “accessible” compartments not “handicapped” stalls. The term “handicapped” is offensive.

Poor attention to details and poor storyline.

Starts Slow, Finishes Fast

If you’re talking about cuckolds and hotwives, this does seem to start slow, more BDSM than cuckold/hotwives.

But as the worm turns you begin to see how the cuckolding might develop. Then again, how are you a cuckold if you have a lover that you dominate?

It all works out in the end, to everyone’s happiness, I guess. That is one minor problem, you don’t really know how all of the participants feel about how the new normal will turn out. There’s enough left open to have a second volume of the story.

I wasn’t thrilled about the beginning, but very glad that I persevered till the end.
