Book 6 in the Heroes of Henderson series by USA Today bestselling author Liz Kelly.

After Dallas, Laidey Bartholomew finds Henderson to be a breath of fresh air. Out from under the expectations of her socialite family, she can be as invisible as she chooses. She’s perfectly happy flying under the radar, until a hot-tempered, masculine work of art roars into town on his Road King and zeroes in on her.

All of a sudden, Laidey’s not invisible anymore.

Xavier Wright hasn’t lived in Henderson for fourteen years. You’d think by now everyone would have forgotten about his juvenile antics. Knowing his sick ma doesn’t need any additional stress in her life, he’s determined to make amends for his bad-boy ways. Unfortunately, a certain little newcomer continually brings out the worst in him.

She’s way too prissy for him. He’s way too domineering for her.

Harry believes it’s a match made in heaven.

All the books in the Heroes of Henderson Series are complete romances. They do not need to be read in order, but it might be more fun that way as characters continue to show up in Henderson in big ways and small.

USA Today bestselling author of the Heroes of Henderson Series.

Liz's Heroes of Henderson series grew out of the New Year's Eve Anthology, Countdown To A Kiss, where the Devine Sisters of Henderson, N.C. had a bet every year at their parents' New Year's Eve ball. The sister who didn't have a date to kiss at midnight had to kiss their nerdy neighbor, Lewis Kampmueller.

Duncan James, the hero of Liz's novella in Countdown To A Kiss (which has also been published separately as Playin' Cop) is not only best friends with Lewis, but with both Brooks Bennett and Vance Evans, his fraternity brothers from NC State. Brooks and Vance are the Henderson cops who kick off the series with Good Cop and Bad Cop.

Recurring characters is the theme of the Henderson series. Each book is a complete romance in and of itself, but you won't lose touch with the couples you fall in love with. They keep playing big parts and small in following books as Brooks and Vance lead Team Henderson in finding ways to revive their small town.

"DuVal Cousin" books are an additional part of the Heroes of Henderson series, and usually are tucked in between books with numbers like 2.5 and 3.5. They can be full length novels or short novellas, and they are based on Lolly DuVal's (from Good Cop) Henderson cousins. Where the Heroes books are hero-centric, the DuVal Cousin books are heroine based.

Henderson is an actual town in North Carolina where some of Liz's favorite people were raised. Liz's version of Henderson is completely fictional since she hasn't had the pleasure of going back in nearly thirty years. But oh the fun she had while visiting there in her youth. Her memories are the perfect landscape for her contemporary romances.

Liz enjoys putting friends and readers in cameo appearances in her books. Originally from Baltimore, she spent every summer near Annapolis, Maryland in a community where dancing and romancing are literally part of its theme song. (The place where Jesse James gets banished from in Bad Cop. There is going to be a series about that place someday.)

A graduate of Wake Forest University, where she met her handsome golf-addicted husband, (who is now sporting dark glasses everywhere he goes) Liz is a mother of two grown sons (also sporting dark glasses) and a miniature Labradoodle named Isabelle. They live in the Fountain of Youth, a.k.a. Naples, FL where dancing and romancing continues on ad infinitum.

The Heroes of Henderson Series in order:
Playin' Cop (or Countdown To A Kiss if you want the whole story.)
Good Cop
Bad Cop
Taming Molly
Top Dog
Tempting Vivi
Kissing Cooper ~ A Christmas Quickie
Under Dog (Coming soon.)

I voluntary read this book for and honest review. Could the men in this town get any hotter. Xavier Wright left his home town 14 years ago to try an escape things he did. He is now back in town to take care of his mother and try and fix some of things that he left unfinished when he left. Laidey Bartholomew is from Dallas and is currently working in Henderson trying to escape her life in Dallas and become her own person. She likes life just the way it is now being invisible. That all changes when Xavier strolls into town on his Road King. Life as she knows it starts to change. What happens when Xavier runs into his ex and Laidey is there to witness part of the drama that unfolds. Can Laidey (aka Tweets) being around him without fear? Can Xavier get her to like him and not be so afraid of him?
A definite must read book 6 was worth the wait. I loved this book I can't wait to next book. Every book is about how Henderson is changing but every book with it new characters coming into play just makes each book unique in it's own way.

This is the best series ever. Book One had me hooked and I figured, as with a lot of series books, that subsequent books would be good but not as good as the first. Each book has been great. This is now my favorite. Xavier stole my heart! What I love about Liz Kelly’s Heroes books? You don’t just get to revisit your favorite characters in each book, you get to have a pretty good sized piece of them again, which I LOVE! The book was focused mostly on the romance of Xavier and Laidey, but I got all my favorites and not just a little teaser, they had a good part. This book also drew out my happy, contented sigh at the end, my sign of a home-run heart warmer! I cannot wait for the next installment, because Liz doesn’t know how to disappoint! Book gifted to me.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Just like the other books in this series, once I started reading I couldn't stop! Xavier Wright is a big hotty who comes home after many years and all he want is people to forget about who he used to be in the past. Laidey is a petite workaholic trying to be invisible hiding behind her work. She can not hide from big bad ass Wright who is convince she is afraid of him and is trying his best to win her! They are opposite poles!
I liked it so much I can not wait to start reading it again!
Can not wait to see what the next book will be!
Congratulations Liz!

Liz Kelly has done it again! She has made the trip back to Henderson fun, fresh, and exciting. She has come up with yet another great hero. She makes the men in her stories very bossy, which I love, but it is done in such a way you can’t help but love them. They may be bossy, alpha men but they do let their women shine. After I finish each book in the series I’m in love with the “new” guy and Xavier is no different. He was so much fun to read about. He has a secret that ate at him but also had a lot of guilt for things done in his younger years, which make your heart feel so bad for him. However, along comes Lainey, a tiny wonder woman who wanted to stay in the shadows out of the limelight. Xavier took one look at her and decided he wasn’t going to let her hide. So that begins their fun, frustrating, laugh out loud and sometimes hot courtship! The plot is good; the characters as always balance each other so well. We get to see what all the previous people of Henderson have been up to and of course I get to hear what my favorite guy, Vance, is stirring up. A bit of romance with his wife Piper gets thrown in much to my delight. There is a little twist at the end concerning Xavier’s past that is a nice touch to the story! I absolutely love this series!! If you haven’t read the Heroes of Henderson Series you are missing out of getting to know the characters in one of the best series I’ve ever read!

This book is awesome! I loved Xavier and Laidey and all their differences and quirkiness. I laughed so much, like out loud laughing, but this whole series is just really funny and one of my favorites. And I’m so excited with the new characters, which means more books in the series! I highly recommend this.

Xavier Wright and Vance Evans have a lot in common besides being teammates on the high school baseball team in their youth. They’re competitive, bossy, intimidating and they both completely dote on their women. I really liked Laidey as Xavier’s romantic interest because she puts up with his overbearing ways even though she’s shy and pint sized and his complete opposite. I enjoyed the Wright family, the Henderson happenings and catching up with all the characters from previous books because of the entertaining storytelling of Liz Kelly. I listened to the audiobook and was totally captivated by the talented narration performance of Charles Lawrence.

Mr. Wright by Liz Kelly is book six in the Heroes of Henderson Series. Laidey Bartholomew, who comes from a socialite family, is originally from Dallas and has been asked by her boss to relocate to Henderson to help out with the building of the new sports school. Her co-workers that relocated with her are bored with Henderson and miss the hustle and bustle of Dallas but Laidey, on the other hand, loves the slow pace and finds the change a breath of fresh air. Laidey also likes the fact that she can fly under the radar until Mr. Xavier Wright comes back into town. Xavier hasn’t lived in Henderson for fourteen years. He was known for his juvenile antic and his bad-boy ways. He has moved back to Henderson because his mother is very sick. Xavier is trying very hard to show everybody that he has changed his ways but it is very hard to do when Laidey is around. Xavier thinks Laidey is to prudish for him and Laidey finds him very boss but as we all know opposites sometimes attract and when these to come together there are fireworks. I LOVED this book and I love the fact that you get updates on all the other characters that have been in the other books of the series. I highly recommend it this book and the whole series!

Favorite Quotes:

“What the Hell, Tweety Bird”

“She’s snack-sized, and when I’m around her, I feel hungry”

“I think she’s quirky. And it’s gotten under my skin. Like a form of Bacteria, you need a pill to get rid of.”

I need a 100 star rating for this book! You must read Mr. Wright!
Liz Kelly has outdone herself yet again. I did not think it possible after Mr. Wrong. However, Mr. Wright is awesome. I have read all of her books in the Heroes of Henderson series and this author continues to excel in generating books, which both entertain and engage your sense of imagination and pleasure. Mr. Wright is another romance filled with the unexpected, witty exchanges between the characters and an uplifting of your spirit. The romance is fun, hot, steamy, and worthy of your dreams. She does not disappoint with an appropriate hero to fit the alpha male character of whom protects, provides for, and cherishes his woman. All while encouraging his perfect female match to be the person she wants to be with his full support. Although Mr. Wright is a stand-alone book, you will definitely become a fan of all of the heroes in Henderson. Watch for the exchanges between the men at the mixed grill and during their day on the water. The Heroes in Henderson are a diverse group of men that will draw you into their stories along with the women that love them. The best part is Mr. Wright has brothers….

I recieved this book for an honest review.
Love, love, love this latest edition of the Hero's of Henderson!!!
It was the "Bully" vs. the "Mouse". After many years loud, brash Xavier comes back to his hometown of Henderson to try to atone for sins of his high school years. He found Adelaide (the mouse), tiny, quiet, shy. They were so different, but somehow worked. Xavier was a great Hero!! Great story! It was so fun to also catch up with all the happenings in Henderson and the previous characters. Liz Kelly is a hilarious author. I was laughing out loud many times. You can read this as a stand alone book. But definately read the rest of the books. It is one of my favorite series!!
You'll be wanting to move to Henderson!!!

I was so excited to head back to Henderson much like Xavier Wright on his hard candy hot-rod-red Road King. We got to catch up with old friends and make some new ones on this road trip back to the town everyone wishes they could visit.

Xavier with his gruff yet swoon worthy demeanor and Laidey well she was just adorable. It took her leaving home to find her home. Xavier and Laidey's story kept me glued to my Kindle. It was so enthralling to watch these to discover they were the yin to the others yang.

On a side note getting to know a new (existing) Henderson family - the Wrights was beyond delightful. If Xavier is any indication of what's to expect if more Wrights come back to Henderson... I CANT WAIT

The Heroes of Henderson series is my favorite HEA series out there. All the books are stand alone books, but reading all of them and getting to know more about all the other characters only makes each book more enjoyable. Mr. Wright is a fun, easy read that will put a smile on your face. Laidey and Xavier compliment each other well and keep you entertained with their banter. I want to live in Henderson!

I received an ARC copy for an honest review.
Wow this series just keeps getting better. This is Laidey and Xavier ' s story. I highly recommend that you read the books in order. It will make a lot more since.  Laidey is a Dallas transplant working for CC Henderson. Xavier is the former town bully when he was in high school, who comes home after 14 years. I love the nicknames they give each other. And all of our favorite couples make an appearance or 2. Another big win for Liz Kelly!!!
