This cover of the book was misleading to me because it featured bright colors, but upon opening the book all illustrations are black and white which made me lose interest so I'm sure a child would do the same.
Although the book was lacking in illustrations, the message of the text was communicated very well and was simple. The story was about the journey of water and how it travels through different bodies of water to end up in our homes. The book also talks about processes in how water is treated and such. The book would good to use for a science course as a reference, but maybe not to read the whole thing to a classroom.
