Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is the sixth book in the Harmony Harbor contemporary romance series. Each book in the series features a separate couple so they are fine to read as a standalone. There are however glimpses with previous characters involved for fans that follow the whole series.
Jenna Bell is a wedding planner that believes she’s also a bit psychic and can see when a couple is a perfect match and that is what makes her good at her job. However, Jenna herself never expected her own fiance to dump her right before their wedding and when she runs off in her wedding dress and almost gets herself hit by a car Logan Gallagher comes to her rescue.
Jilted and upset Jenna turns to Logan for comfort after which she hopes that one night can turn into so much more. However, with danger following her over returning a wedding ring and Logan also being pushed into things from his family there is a lot of things for them to overcome.
Having read other books from Debbie Mason I am familiar with her style of writing and already a fan. Instead of characters just meeting and falling in love again in this story there is plenty of action and adventure between the pair and those surrounding them. However, some things in this one seemed to just go a bit over the top and I had a bit of trouble believing everything being tossed at them leaving me to rate this installment of the series at 3.5 stars.

Alright guys, if you are a fan of the amazing Debbie Mason, you will no doubt love this one.
I found it to be fun and the perfect book for summer. You know, easy to pick up, and put down while sunning yourself at the shore. (See what I did there?) LOL!
All Jenna Bell wanted was a happily-ever-after. Too bad all she got was drama from the step-mama instead. And agent Logan? Well, let's just say he is in for an emotional surprise!
Super fun read and Mason fans will completely enjoy!

Sandpiper Shore Debbie Mason is book Six in the Harmony Harbor series. This is the story of Jenna Bell and Logan Gallagher. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Jenna first meets Logan after her soon to be husband leaves her for her step-mother. Logan steps in to help her when she goes of the deep end after find out the news. There was a quick attraction between them and then some. But things happened and now it looks like Logan will be needed her wedding planning services but with someone else.
This was a good second chance at love along with some funny scene...nice easy read.

Will true love prevail and Jenna get her very own happily ever after?
Ooohhhh this book. It was cute and entertaining and I really wanted to like it more than I did, but everything under the sun was happening. EVERYTHING! The storyline given in the synopsis didn’t even start until almost halfway through. The writing was good but I feel like too much was going on to try and keep the story interesting but really it just seemed very cluttered which I absolutely hate to say.

I’m a lover of small town romances, but this particular installment was too messy. Ghosts, royalty and a self-proclaimed match-maker who can see people’s “auras” made this story excessive and melodramatic. I’d really like to read the others in the series and I’m crossing my fingers they’re much better than this one.

In Debbie Mason's Sandpiper Shore, the 6th installment in the Harmony Harbor contemporary romance series, this sweet and heart-warming romance will bring tears to your eyes and believe in magical fairytales. For Jenna Bell, she always wanted a fairytale romance and to find her prince charming. As a matchmaker and wedding planner, she had thought she had found the one, when her fiancé Lorenzo dumps her before her wedding. Then she becomes a runway bride of sorts in her wedding dress and runs into Logan Gallagher, a Secret Service agent on detail for Princess Isabella. Jenna Bell is all the way in on her upcoming wedding: her final fitting is at hand when she gets THE call and it’s about the worst ever outcome. Not only is her groom unwilling to move forward and marry her, but he’s in love. With someone else. Her stepmother. As if that isn’t bad enough, her family is pretty much all in on the idea of love and weddings – so how badly will her own wedding planning business be hurt when word gets out. Her Stepmother? Seriously? There’s just nothing to do but run away from the dress shop – get away from it all – and the story would have been far different had she been hit in traffic. But, she is rescued by Logan, in town to meet his own woman as they are planning their wedding.
So – cute set up, and I am a huge fan of the light, airy and fun romances that Mason writes, she’s got a unique take and twist, with characters that always ring true to life. I knew that Logan and Jena would have a ‘thing’ and there would be some difficulty for both of them because each is just out of another relationship – but there were moments and situations thrown at them so hard and fast, that there wasn’t really time to breathe before the ‘next big challenge”. It was as farcical as I’ve ever read in a contemporary romance that isn’t wholly Rom Com, and even pushed the boundaries there. I found both Jenna and Logan a bit difficult to understand, and then to engage with, as there was always a new crisis or obstacle, not to mention the ‘second thoughts’ and moments of guilt, disbelief and worry. I just couldn’t. Yet I also couldn’t put it down – curiosity perhaps, or maybe that once I stopped viewing this as a ‘plausible’ story, it became one of the most enjoyable ‘what else could possibly happen’ (in the Monty Python skit way) to this couple. I don’t know if that was the author’s intention, but there you have it. Not my favorite in this series, I tend to lean toward more heart and less piling on of challenges and what would be worse situations, but enjoyable nonetheless.

He is someone who she has had a crush on since she was a young girl.
Things start to from bad to worse, the police are called in when things get out of hand, Logan is arrested and we then have a runaway bride. Not only has stepmother stolen her boyfriend, but she has stolen her Matchmaking business too.. What's a girl to do but hike up her wedding dress and run to the local pub for help.
I am a fan of the Harmony Harbor series and like the others I have enjoyed the hilarity of events that take place when the local Ghost in waiting, Grand Dame Colleen Gallagher gets involved in the love lives of her family, you have laugh out loud moments. What I really love about this book, is the road or rather the beach that leads Jenna on the path to her "One True Love". Throw in a night on the beach, a baby Sandpiper named Pippa, a Princess, a missing engagement ring, amnesia and a hasty wedding and that path to true love can get washed away with each tide, but like the tide, the path can be the "One True Love". I can't wait for the next visit to Harmony Harbor!!!

In this new book we meet Jenna, a wedding planner who has gone through quite a lot in her life but still believes in happily ever after. Life is good, in a few weeks she will be living her own fairy tale wedding but when her fiance dumps her for her step-mother she is at a total loss. She doesn't understand what went wrong, it doesn't help that everyone around her is happy and that no one thought she should be with the man. When her now ex tries to bully her into not only giving back the ring but also her gown she can't believe it. In steps Logan, her night in shining armor, who helps her by punching her now ex in the face. Follow along as Jenna and Logan become friends and work towards being much more to one another. Along the way they have to deal with a nosy reporter, a cute bird, amnesia, a real princess, and a couple of step-sisters. Will they be able to find true love along the way or are they destine for a sad ending? This was such a charming read that had me crying, laughing, and rooting for a happily ever after in the end. I love the way this authors brings a story together with wonderful characters, a great setting, and a story line filled with emotion. I can't wait to see what is in store next for the people of Harmony Bay.

This is meant to be the 6th book in the Harmony Harbor series but you really can read it as a stand alone.
The story has a Cinderella feel to it. Evil stepmother, troublesome step sisters, a father who died and left everything to the mother, a glass slipper, etc. I love fairy-tale retellings so I enjoyed that side of the story.
Where I had an issue is when Cinderella retelling turned ghost story. That was unnecessary. For a while there I was really confused and thought that perhaps I miss-read something (I myself read this as a stand alone, so there is a chance this makes more sense if you have read the other books).
Jenna was sweet. Strong believer in true love and in finding your perfect match. The first scenes with her were humorous. Her fiance dumps her for her stepmother and she, like most woman in that situation, goes and gets wasted. But than not like most woman would, she goes and have sex on the beach with hottie Logan Gallagher.
Logan's character than disappears from the picture, goes back to work protecting a princess. He gets engaged to the princess and comes home after an accident to get married at the family home.
The main characters were all nice. As were the secondary characters. But perhaps a little forgettable? I mean... I don't really remember most details on them already...

I liked this story but I just couldn't get into Jenna's story. This is book 6 in the Harmony Harbor series and I've enjoyed several of these stories. You get to catch up with some of the previous couples but this can easily stand alone. This has a touch of psychic magic and some laugh aloud moments but was a little too cluttered for my taste. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Sometimes as much as I want to I just can't read. Either I've gotten burned out and need a break, or life interrupts and you just can't focus. Unfortunately for me lately it's been my personal life that has taken me away from reading.
A month ago my mom became ill and after a little over a month she passed. During that time I couldn't read at all. I tried to read as I sat at the hospital but couldn't. Even when it was over I just didn't want to read. I will be honest with you all I was a little worried. I've never gone over a month without reading a book.
Hell, usually in that time on a slow month I would have read at least eight books and that's a very slow month.
With reviews piling up I knew I had to get back into my blog. I just figured it I could get back to the blogging and reading I'd feel better. They've always been a comfort of mine. Happily that happened with I decided to pick a author I knew who get me into their book. This wasn't a time to try someone new. I needed a sure thing.
That sure thing turned out to be Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason. From the first I've read of hers I've been hooked on her. She just writes wonderful stories with incredible characters. Sometimes they are funny, others sweet and lovable. Some a combination all three. Then you have to total shits. Yep, she has a few of those too.
Right away I was sucked into the story because of how both Jenna and Logan acted towards each other. They kept telling themselves that they didn't want a relationship but you could have fooled us. In fact they acted like they've been together forever. I really enjoyed their interactions.
This whole story was fun, if a little sad. You feel for Jenna but are happy she's not stuck with a jerk. She also has to deal with her pain in the butt sisters, one who's story is next and hasn't pissed me off since Mason's character Chloe from Kiss Me in Christmas. Part of me can't wait to see how she makes up like Arianna.
I really loved Jenna's and Logan whirlwind romance. They had many ups and downs but in the end you can't beat true love. These two are meant to be and even a certain ghost knows it. I'm so glad I read Sandpiper Shore. I'm not healed yet but it helped me on my road.

Debbie Mason never disappoints me. Each new book in each of her series brings its own kind of quirk and the stories never lack adventure and fun.
I do think that the blurb is a little misleading this time around but not in a way that ruins the story but rather just makes it that much more surprising when you read it.
I feel like this wouldn’t be a true review of a Debbie Mason book without me making a comment about the Hero being a bit of a jackass but I’m happy to report that most of Logan’s jackassery (it’s a word because I say it is) was by no fault of his own. I simply adored him and thought he was the perfect match for Jenna.
This was a perfect summer read and a perfect addition to the Harmony Harbor series. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!

Well the synopsis for the book is wildly inaccurate. Some of what’s described starts to occur midway through the book but in no way near the way you’ve been lead to believe.
Despite that, the beginning of the book is promising... until it becomes a chaotic and cluttered mess. There are so many ideas crammed into the story that it’s just all over the place.
Plus there are a multitude of plot holes that just don’t make sense. It’s baffling. I’m okay with suspending some disbelief in a chick-lit book and just going along with it, but Sandpiper Shore is just too ridiculous. Logan is a secret service agent, but he’s on his own the entire book. No team? No check-ins or concerns with his superiors through all the confusing drama?
And there’s a ghost! Ghost grandma adds absolutely nothing to the book, so why is she even there? She doesn’t interact with anyone and she narrates some of what she observes, things that have already been shown or discussed and/or could be notated by the reg cast of characters. She gives some backstory from when she was alive BUT she had already written it all down in a tell-all memoir that another alive character has and uses to reveal the past. The ghost is unnecessary, just another randomly crammed in idea.
The book cover and title also don’t really jive with the story. And it should also be noted that this is book 6 in a series and it doesn’t work too well as a stand-alone, although it’s not impossible. You just clearly see that you’re missing things.
Overall, I gave the book 1 Star ⭐️ and it isn’t one I’d recommend.

Logan is a secret service agent, but he’s on his own the entire book. No team? No check-ins or concerns with his superiors through all the confusing drama?
And there’s a ghost! Ghost grandma adds absolutely nothing to the book, so why is she even there? She doesn’t interact with anyone and she narrates some of what she observes, things that have already been shown or discussed and/or could be notated by the reg cast of characters. She gives some backstory from when she was alive BUT she had already written it all down in a tell-all memoir that another alive character has and uses to reveal the past. The ghost is unnecessary, just another randomly crammed in idea.
The book cover and title also don’t really jive with the story. And it should also be noted that this is book 6 in a series and it doesn’t work too well as a stand-alone, although it’s not impossible. You just clearly see that you’re missing things.
Overall, I gave the book 1 Star ⭐️ and it isn’t one I’d recommend.

This book started out well and I was looking forward to reading the whole story but it went downhill quickly and in my opinion turned into a hot mess. It was as if the author wanted to cram every possible romance story scenario into one book and for me it did not turn out well. It started out with a rejected bride in a Cinderella wedding dress complete with glass slipper being lost and an alpha male coming to her rescue and a funny bar scene with the rejected bride Jenna drinking and giving people a show in the bar. The story goes on to sex on the beach scene, rescuing a baby bird, evil stepmother and sisters, con man for ex fiance, a runaway princess, and a weird pink glow over couples who are with their one true love. I liked the main characters of Jenna and Logan and possibly it would have made more sense to me if I had read the previous five books in the series but this was not a book I would recommend. I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

So my library didn't list this as part of a series and I didn't check to see that it's book #6. The write-up also doesn't mention ghosts and "sixth senses". Meh.
Also, the plot that the write-up describes doesn't start until about halfway through the book. I was just overall so confused with the whole book.

Can't finish this... it's just not good. DNF at about 70%, and although I was close enough to the end that I was tempted to tough it out, I found myself skimming the majority of every page, and that's just not worth it. I'd never read this author before, but I think her style is just too simple, too sweet, too Hallmark Channel movie-esque for me.

This was sweet. Logan has you swoon with that Cinderella moment and how he wanted to protect Jenna.
I loved watching these two get to know one another over text. Logan was good for Jenna. He helped build her confidence and have her see she is worth so much more than she believes. Jenna helped Logan see how to open his heart and give into love. She was his lobster.
Logan and Jenna were great. He is kind, sweet, honest and loyal. She is loyal and gentle. You can tell she had a good heart. It was hard to see her harden it because of all that happened to her. Her ex was a jerk and her sisters were close to that. i know she made mistakes and that they were angry over her mom but don’t take that out on Jenna. Each moment that these two are together is filled with sweet tender moments. They have us laugh and smile. I loved the ending. So what had them not be together right away? The wonderful twist that Debbie Mason put in their story. Poor Logan and Jenna. I hated seeing them both in the dark really. But watching them find their way to the truth and how Jenna risked it all for love was just precious. Logan was more understanding than I expected. I expected him to forgive but he did more. He was really used and that was sad to see because he trusted those around him when he was on the job. It worked out in the end and we get a fun, sweet, intimate tale where the one who wasn’t going to fall in love does and meets the girl who believes in happily ever afters and the journey they go through for their is genuinely sweet and tender.

This story was so cute. It played on the Cinderella trope with Jenna a rose colored glasses type of character. Her naivete was a little sad, but as she is in the business of HEA, she kind of wishes that for herself as well. Her decisions are a little questionable if not based on the fact that she's stubborn, but yet I couldn't help but think her a charming character. There's nothing wrong for dreaming about a Prince Charming or a HEA.
Besides the fairy tale feel of the story, Colleen's ghostly presence was there but a little subdued. Her sidekick Simon the cat was still a hoot. A couple of catalysts were thrown into the plot which expanded the overall story and made it all the more interesting.
Overall, Logan and Jenna were a really cute couple and the story complemented them both.

I really loved "Sandpiper Shore". There was some drama, mystery, romance, and action. With Logan, secret service extraordinaire, Jenna has always had a crush for a long time but Jenna is getting married. Logan never planned to marry because of his job and risks. When a chance meeting between the two reunites them after Jenna's fiance breaks their engagement just days before the wedding, sparks fly. While Logan is currently on security detail for a princess visiting America, an accident changes things. Jenna now has to plan Logan and the princess' wedding. Jenna has a gift and she can tell when things are right and when they are not. Jenna has to fight these feelings and go on as wedding planner. Between an evil step-mother and two step-sisters, will Jenna ever get her Cinderella wedding? Lots of action, romance, and plot twists that kept me reading until the end.

I finished it. This was a neighborhood bookclub book, otherwise I wouldn’t have even picked it up. And even if I did, I wouldn’t have made it past the second chapter.
Maybe it’s that this is the sixth in a series? Would the relationships make more sense? Would the plot have been less convoluted and shallow?

This book started out like a bad romantic comedy: jilted brides, cheating fiancés, fist fights in the streets, arrests, and a knight in shining armor to the rescue. I almost put it down. It ended up being a cute romance that was well written. It just wasn't my favorite.

Strating reading this series out of order (they dont have to be read in chronological order) but so far Barefoot Beach has been my favorite.

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is the 6th book in the Harmony Harbor series, featuring the eldest Gallagher cousin Logan and matchmaker Jenna Bell. I personally love this series! It’s a fun, light contemporary that you can read in one-sitting, HEA guaranteed, and always leaves you smiling. In this installment of the series, Jenna Bell has a real-life Cinderella moment after her belief in love is dashed by her two-timing fiancé, but her Prince Charming doesn’t believe in happily ever afters.
Jenna is a wedding planner, but she has a secret gift of her own. She can look at a couple and be able to tell if they are soulmates. It’s a little quirky and endearing in my opinion. Too bad it doesn’t work on herself. She could have saved herself a lot of heartache. After her fiancé breaks the news that he is with her step-mom (gag me), Jenna has a one-night stand with the delectable Logan Gallagher. She isn’t ready for more though and their relationship moves into friends territory.
Logan isn’t the marrying kind. He’s more married to his job than anything, yet he finds himself in over his head where Jenna is concerned. Moving her to the friendzone is safer for the both of them in his opinion. Then an accident leaves him with amnesia and mysteriously engaged to the woman he was sworn to protect.
The plot for this book is a little all over the place. There are many threads that eventually combine. However this doesn’t distract from the enjoyment of the story. Sandpiper Shore is more than a romance, it’s mystery and intrigue, and some adventure mixed in just for fun. And I can’t forget the ghostly Colleen who is stuck in a limbo of sorts as her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren decide what to do with her estate. If you enjoy contemporary romance, I highly recommend this one. It will make a fantastic beach read this summer.

It took me over 2 weeks to get through this mess of a novel. My first and last by this author. I didn’t realize it was part of a series. It’s so far fetched and I hated just about all the characters except Logan and Jenna. The story is about them and they didn’t get much air time. You have some other story about Logan’s Mom maybe having cancer. His great grandma coming back as a ghost- this was the one that just didn’t make sense every chapter she was in I’m like this makes me hate the book even more. Jenna’s b1tchy step sisters He’s a secret service person protecting a princess from another country and then boom now he’s marrying her and can’t remember anything from a fall protecting her. Oh and princess is pregnant. And then there’s the little bird Pippa. So many small little stories that just drug out an already terrible plot. I really hated this book and wonder why I finished it. Which of course ends up perfectly.

This was, for me, outside my normal zone. I’m usually not into lots that require one to suspend reality when I read. This one requires that. There is a ghost, a cat with apparent supernatural power, a lot of characters to keep track of, a Cinderella story complete with an evil stepmother and unkind stepsisters. There are many plots twists and turns. Yet, I really enjoyed it.

This book is just what the doctor ordered! When I was going through one of the hardest times of my life, this book was a great pick me up that was able to take into a world of heartwarming romance that I didn't want to leave. I enjoyed this title along with others of her's & highly recommend checking this author out if looking for a good romance novel.💜
