Rate this book
Only a woman with a broken heart can show a broken man how to live.

Tilly Carver is a woman on the run. After a lifetime under the control of her cruel father, she has finally fled. But running does not mean you leave all your problems behind.

After being saved from a gruesome death while on the run, she accompanies the young Clayton Baxter to his family's home: the Baxter Homestead. But Tilly's troubles are far from over. As Clayton begins to show his true colors as a cowardly, conniving villain, Tilly finds herself thrust deeper and deeper into intrigue and even danger.

Luckily, though, there are people looking out for her. Mrs. Baxter - Clayton's mother and a tornado of a woman - has adopted her as one of the family. Clayton's brother, Adam, loves her like a sister.

And then there is Paul.

A man of mystery, who showed up at the homestead not long after Tilly, he is always there... watching her, protecting her, perhaps even... loving her? She does not know. No one knows who Paul really is, or where he came from. She only knows that he is the strongest man she has ever known, and the only man with whom she has ever felt safe.

She only knows that Paul understands her, because he also is on the run from a past he only wants to forget.

But the past is never really gone. And as Tilly's and Paul's past lives reach out to threaten them once more, they both realize that they can only find safety with each other. They can only find happiness in the arms of someone who understands what they have gone through, and what they have done.

They can only find love if they stop running, and face what is coming... together.

Found In Flight by Angelica Hart is a Christian historical romance. It is the second book in the Baxter Homestead Romance series but can be read as a stand-alone. Found In Flight gives the back story to some of the characters in book one before colliding with the end of that story. It was a very clever technique that enables the reader to witness the same action but from a different point of view.
Once again there is the theme of the plight of women. They are seen as weak but are not as weak as some men believe. There is a wonderful matriarch who appealed to my sense of humour with her tobacco spitting habits!
Our past does not define us. We learn from our past and then move on into our future.
People speak words over us that we believe. "Whatever you are thinking, it is a lie." If people tell us lies often enough, we believe them. We need to refocus and listen to those who speak life affirming words over us.
We will reap what we sow. If our sowing is bad, our harvest will be too.
The story is very reminiscent of David and Goliath. The parallels were very obvious to me, and gave me a comforting sense of familiarity.
I am really enjoying this Baxter Homestead Romance series. Angelica Hart is a new author to me. If you have yet to read any of her books, I can highly recommend giving them a try.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

Not my cuppa, but well-written and decently plotted.

I REALLY dislike 'Romance' novels, and any girly books or bodice-rippers. While this isn't either of the latter two, it is not a book I would have read had it not been in an 'MbC' collection I recently bought. Yet I _did_ read it, fairly thoroughly.

The composition and grammar are excellent, and the narrative is engaging and persuasive, making the yarn enjoyable despite being predictable.

I can't see any MbC touches so perhaps his contribution was the exceptional composition and/or narrative. Author Hart revealed some surprises—one both predictable and very unpleasant—and managed to wrap the yarn up in a fashion that will delight everyone who enjoys this genre.

Found In Flight is another Baxter Homestead Romance told in a different way. It's a terrific book that totally drew me into the storyline. The author gave this storyline a mysterious twist and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat. If you miss reading Found In Flight, you'll miss a sensational novel. Author Angelica Hart wrote another 5 Star book.

I received a complimentary copy from the author, but was not required to review it. This review is one hundred percent my opinion.

This is Book #2 in the Baxter Homestead series and is Tillie (a household maid) and Paul's (a ranch hand) story. There is quite a cast of characters including Tillie's evil and cruel father, a spoiled step-son, and the loud, bossy but lovable and hilarious Matriarch of the family. The story is easy to read but has all the elements of a great story with a HEA. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it and look forward to the next story in the series.

I really enjoyed this book. It's only the second book I've read by Angelica Hart but certainly will not be the last. Her female characters, so far, are feisty and strong; most of her male characters are the strong silent type. Her stories do not drag out and have some humor. My favorite book genre is western historicals and Angelica Hart is on my favorite authors list.

A love found in flight...

„Found in Flight“ starts in hell. Tilly's personal hell which carries one name: Poppa. In deepest despair and fear she takes to only way out – flight. On the run a Baxter crosses her way. But does he provide the shelter she is looking for?

In „Found in Flight“ we see Tilly growing from a make-believed ugly duckling to an amazingly strong young woman. And on this way we meet Paul – a mysterious man who is much more than he seems to be…

A beautiful love story.

I enjoyed this book.

I enjoyed this book about Tillie showing how she started working for Mrs Baxter & Paul a cowboy on the ranch. She grew up with her father telling her how ugly she is. So when Paul tells her she is beautiful, Tillie thinks he is making fun of her. They both have scars both physical and emotional. I especially love how Tillie torments Clayton!
