Rate this book
Death, like pain and grief, is universal and may even go beyond our immediate world. Everyone has lost someone close to them to death, and we all know the pain of loss. We have personally experienced pain and we have additionally seen others in pain. We all know death is not something we can avoid even though we can delay it in some situations; so we should know we cannot avoid grief as well. There are those who can handle grief well, and those who just fall apart when aggrieved. Although in my experiences with death I have learnt that grief manifests in variant ways, I have also learnt that the inability to handle grief can lead to multitudes of problems for the grieving person. This is where this book comes in.
The aim of this book is to guide the readers with the processes of grieving. It aims to show how related grief is to the death of someone beloved to us. It aims to show some of the misconceptions the world has about grieving and additionally indicate that grief may be universal but the ways we experience it are different from person to person. My personal experiences further taught me that you are not likely going to grieve the deaths of two people, all equally close to you, in the same manner. The grief you experience can be different from loss to loss. This has led me to conclude that no one can ever tell you how to grieve. There is no right or wrong way to grieve but you can handle the grief all wrong. At the same time, I have learnt that when people give advice to the bereaved, they mostly mean well even if the advice they give may not be applicable in my situation. The book shows you how to handle situations where advice is given.
Grief has the potential to make you sick and cause rifts between you and others, and these are aspect the book looks at as well. Failure to handle your grief well can lead to many problems with your health and even with others around you. The book gives guidelines pertaining to how you can react to others in your grief and how you should be taking care of yourself and others in spite of the hard times you are going through. Lastly, the book will explain the stages you may go through in your grief and how these ultimately help you get to grips with the death of your loved one.
Read on, I hope the book will help you in areas when you need help the most. We all experience grief at some point in our lives and when that time comes, allow this book to give you the desired assistance. Thank you for purchasing this book it is my sincere hope that it will answer all your questions on death acceptance.
