Purgatory: The Hybrids Episode 3
My brother Ari is missing.
My mother was driving me bat shit while I was recovering from being in the hospital. I expected my brother to visit, but he hadn’t called or come over. Something was definitely wrong.
To be Death, Ari has to have a connection to life. His lifeline is another angel named Raquel. She told us Michael had cut the cord between them. It meant certain death for Ari. To give him a chance to survive, Raquel sent Ari to Purgatory.
Now all we had to do was go get him. I was ready to go, but first, I had to deal with my relatives. Specifically, my grandparents from both sides of the family. There was just one other small detail to consider. To get into Purgatory, I had to die first.
If we survive, Ari is going to owe me, big time.

Enjoying!
I've never really read serial stories, I'm enjoying these chapter -like releases; reminds me to take the time to absorb.
The main characters are well developed, I feel their frustration and confusion as they're confronting both sides of a family they didn't know existed. The background characters are drawn well enough for me to understand who and why, but not so strongly that they steal the spotlight. Some may not like not having graphic blood and guts descriptions; I'm good with how the author presents it.
I'm not sure how editing is done with E-books, but exercising means to work out not cast out demons. Exorcising, if I spelled it right, should be the word.
