What’s a sub to do when the Dom he wants looks dejected? Hank’s about to find out when he works up the nerve to approach Master Thomas.
Hank has watched and wanted Master Thomas for a long time. When Master Thomas’ sub leaves him looking dejected, Hank wants to take a chance. Fear holds him back until his friend prompts him to take action and be more forward than he’s ever been before.
Thomas isn’t broken-hearted, but his pride sure took a hit. He’s sitting in the club, doubting himself, as his ex-sub is acting more like a Dom than not.
Then a sub wearing white leather approaches Thomas with some goading from a friend. Thomas has noticed Hank before, but the timing was never right for them to connect—until now.
With one daring move by a sub who knows Doms are only human, the future suddenly looks brighter than Thomas had hoped it could be.

I am a married mom of four who spends most of the day writing, either on stories or at the blog. I love to write as much as I love to read. I am generally quiet and laid back, choosing to let things slide off me rather than stick and irritate me.
And it's really hard trying to think of descriptives for myself, so I'll just let y'all e-mail me or comment at the blog if there's something specific you'd like to know, and spare you from reading a boring bio:D

This is the first book in a new series, and though it is short, it gives a reasonable background to the club and some of the men in it. For some reason it seems rather small and low key, but maybe as we meet more of the members it will open out further.
Both of the leads are given a voice, which means that we learn about their ongoing interest in each other, and how strongly their desires mesh. We really only get edited highlights, but from the scene they do it is clear that their needs can be met in this burgeoning relationship.
Let me lead with a quote from this story that I think is pretty funny – at least for me, who is not into the lifestyle personally – yet it describes the feel of this book (and possibly the series?) perfectly: “He preferred more vanilla BDSM.” For a sub like Hank, this expresses what he looks for in BDSM: a power exchange, maybe even a loving D/s relationship, and definitely submitting without humiliation. And when Master Thomas, the Dom Hank has been lusting after for almost a year, becomes available, Hank decides – sub or not – to take the initiative.
Exchange (Power #1) by Bailey Bradford 4 stars M/M Romance BDSM I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
Master Thomas has just ended a contract and the manner in which it was ended has him questioning himself. He knows that he hasn't been in the lifestyle very long, however, he wishes that he had a connection with someone as deep as he sees around him.
Then you have a sub who has been in the lifestyle a while and wants a deeper connection. Hank has been crushing on Master Thomas for a while but the timing never seemed right. He wants to make Master Thomas feel better - seeing him look so sad hurts Hank.
These two together is explosive because both are mature enough to know what they want, to ask and to take. Despite the short length of this story, I felt their connection. I hope that more is to come from this series as I would love to see their connection grow and deepen.

I'm a sucker for m/m BSDM stories and Exchange is just enough to me to satisfy my appetite and enjoy a really hot scene without me needing to invest too much time.
Sub Hank has been interested in Master Thomas for year and now Master Thomas is single and at the urging of a friend, he makes his approach. Both Thomas and Hank are looking for a serious relations built on trust and honesty and they find each other at just the right time in their lives. It is quite sweet really.
A very sweet, and short, read that I enjoyed. I would’ve loved for it to be longer only so the characters could have been more complex with more backstory, etc. However, for a read to whet your whistle this certainly qualifies.
I found Bailey Bradford’s Exchange, the first book in her Power series, to be a too short telling of what can happen when we finally take that leap and go after the object of our affection. A Dom/sub pairing bound with crisp writing that outlines respect and makes the 'insta-love' feel plausible.
As Hank sits in the BDSM club contemplating the dejected Dom he’s crushed on for over a year his friend, Larry, encourages him to make a move. As he imparts, “’Let Thomas grab you by yours,’” to which Master Thomas overhears.
But the Dom isn’t dejected, more so feels played, his ego bruised, by his previous 'sub' who now seems hell bent on making a fool of him. Yet as Hank approaches, Thomas’ own infatuation comes to light.
As these two come together it is a pleasure to watch each man unfold. Hank, with his rambling mouth and utter honesty, who owns his past and is secure in his submission. Master Thomas who even as his pride is dented, is confident enough in who he is as a Dom that he doesn’t hesitate to open himself to Hank.
Some might see Thomas being portrayed as broken and needing a quick 'fix'. But, I beg to differ. We all have had moments in our life where our ego has taken a hit and we just need a little boost, and Hank's thoughts can’t convey it any better, “Doubting himself when he’d been played…didn’t make Master Thomas weak. It made him human, which was a magnificent thing for a Dom to be.”
With every turn of the page I found the men’s maturity and honesty, stimulating, even if a little in your face as they both seem to instantly know what they want. For Hank and Thomas this openness, this vulnerability works…and is what ultimately feeds their desires.
For a short, Bailey Bradford’s Exchange is a captivating read that left me wanting more! More of this charming partnership and more of Bailey’s enticing writing.
I was totally unaware that this author was out there, but after this sexy and sweet short, I’ll be correcting that quickly! An introductory novella, we meet characters that will hopefully expand the series into a full-fledged world.
Hank is curious but cautious, and after a year of quietly crushing on Master Thomas, suddenly the Dom is free of obligations. Thomas has been quietly observing Hank for the same time, but when Hank is free, Thomas had a sub in contract, and vice versa. Finally the two are single at the same time, but Thomas is emotionally bruised and battered after his last contract ended and the sub started parading men in front of Thomas in a decidedly non-sub way. Now it’s Hank’s turn, but only if he can get the courage to approach the man.
This is essentially one erotic BDSM-lite scene with a short intro at the front and an epilogue several months down the line. What is BDSM-lite? From the novella itself: “He preferred more vanilla BDSM.” Nothing hard core, just super sexy getting to know you leading into needing a fan to cool yourself off!
Written in third person omniscient POV, you get to see the men and their world from both sides. There isn’t much world-building due to the brevity of the novella, but you get enough of a taste that you know more wonderful is coming in future books.
I enjoyed the eloquent writing and vivid descriptions. There are only three extra characters in the novella, and only one with whom there is any interaction, clearly the lead in the next book in the series. That distills down the book to the purest of interactions between the main characters.
It is a lighthearted introduction for readers who may be wondering about BDSM but aren’t ready for the more intense aspects to the kink. I’m rating this at 3.5 stars, rounding up for sites that don’t accept halves. Exchange is a fun introduction to the series, and I am looking forward to continuing it on. I definitely recommend it for a quick, fun read without having anything too heavy to focus on.
I voluntarily read an ARC copy of this book for Divine Magazine from Pride Publishing with hopes for but no obligation to provide a review.

It was a good story, but I can’t say I loved it. I liked some parts of it but there was something off about it that didn’t allow me to like it as much as I expected.
Hank and Thomas were fine, they were nice characters but I think they lack chemistry. I don’t think they had a great connections, not really care for their emotions that much. They had a good scene, but I can’t see more than just a scene between them, anything other than that just felt a little forced. I liked Thomas a little bit more than Hank, maybe because there were times when Hank just talked too much and it was annoying. He was nice but sometimes it just felt too much.
I couldn’t have much sympathy for any of them, but there was something that did attacked me a lot about the story. While I keep reading about Hank and Thomas, all I could think of was about what Kelly had done. I couldn’t take my mind off him. I felt so intrigued by him and I understand he wasn’t subject of this book, but I think I would enjoy so much more to know about his story.
The BDSM part was a little bit soft so I guess it could be good for readers who aren’t too much into it or that are trying to learn about it.
Master Thomas has just ended a contract with a sub. Now that sub is flaunting himself around the club making Master Thomas feeling like a fool and vulnerable. Dom's aren't supposed to doubt themselves. Maybe coming to the club tonight was not the best idea.
Hank is a seasoned sub and notices Master Thomas and his sullen mood. Master Thomas has always been on Hank's radar, but never thought he would look twice at him. After a friend goads him on, he shoves his fear aside and approaches Master Thomas.
I really liked this story! Master Thomas is newer to the lifestyle and feels like a failure when his last sub doesn't renew their contract. He never thought Hank would be interested in someone new like him. Hank was genuine and I could feel how centered his submission makes him feel. He said he's never quite felt that way with other Doms. Master Thomas takes it to another level by bringing out the best in him. And once Master Thomas hits his stride with Hank, things click. Master Thomas doesn't want any other sub only Hank!
What a delicious read! Great start to the new Bailey Bradford Power series! I look forward to the next book Submit featuring Hank's best friend Larry!

I liked this book, it was super short but good. I think this would have been 5 stars for me if it had been longer so I could have made more of a connection with Hank and Master Thomas. I did think that there was too much talk of Kelly the ex who did Master Thomas wrong. I wanted more Hank and Master Thomas. For a short book it was good, we did get the gist of the main characters and we did see them in the future in the epilogue, I just wish we saw more from them because I could have fallen in love with these characters.
🔥Smokin hot for a short story. Two people who where meant be together finally get there happy ending. Gorgeous sexy scenes for Thomas and Hank, I would've loved this been a longer book but I loved it anyway. Hank really wanted Master Thomas for his Dom but was scared to approach him. Thomas had just lost a sub of 6 months and was drowning in misery at the club.
Short and sweet. Not quite what I was expecting but enjoyable nonetheless. Definitely a change of pace for me given that I have only read BDSM M/M books with a greater word count.
I love reading a BDSM story where the sub is older than the Dom. It so rarely happens and I was pleased to read that Hank is more experienced and older than Thomas. This felt like a longer story and not like a short story. I loved the dual POV and the epilogue was wonderful. I can't wait for Larry's story in Submit.
