Elemental Dragons #3

The Dragon's Woman

Rate this book
Marc had known about his mate for years. He was patient, though. He would wait until Noelle was ready before he made his move. It was the only thing he could do. But with everything happening around them, his patience was growing thin. He needed his mate's support now more than ever.

Noelle always thought that she would be mated to Dane King, the leader of the American Dragon Territory. When she found out about Dane's mate Liana, she was angry. That was supposed to be her, she thought. Then when Marc revealed their bond to her she was completely taken by surprise. Marc couldn't be her mate, could he?

This is book 3 in the Elemental Dragons series. A spin off of Emilia's Fated Dragons series, it can be read as a standalone, however it is best read in series.

Warning: This series contains lots of sexy shifter action, irresistible mates and steamy love scenes. Tons of mouth watering Paranormal Romance bonus content included!

Marc and Noelle are both dragons who have loved and lost family members. They find out they are mates ten years prior, but Noelle's plans didn't include having anyone but their clan leader as her mate, so Marc has been patiently ( as patiently as a dragon can) waiting for her to see their bond and act on it. Things get very hairy when they find out the GOE has had Marc & Luc's parents on and off for years, literally driving his mother almost completely insane. While on a rescue mission, Noelle finally comes to realize that yes, Marc is her mate and while she thinks she doesn't deserve him, she wants him !! Read The Dragon's Woman to find out all the scary things the Government has been doing to dragons, as well as who all they are actually able to rescue !! 4⭐'s for a great addition to Emilia Hartley's Elemental Dragon series ! I've chosen to keave an honest and unbiased review.

The Dragon's Woman

I just adore Emilia's work. Fantasy meets new age technology. Hot scenes and awesome scaps of fights to get the job done. If you love shifters, their mates and the fight for life. You will love this series. Read in order or you will be lost.
Marc is so close to his mate it hurts every time he sees her. He wants to help her in all ways he can. He wonders though does she know that she is his mate and that he will do anything to make her happy? Then finding out a family member he thought long gone is really alive! How will he get to her?
Noelle has spent a lot of her life chasing after a man who didn't want her because he already has a mate that came blasting onto the scene. She wants to find her baby sister and pronto. But with a jam in her plans maybe she should she listen to her dragon for once and let the dragon man who has been pinning for her. But would he even help her in her quest? Knowing they are mates and could be found out at any moment.

This book in the series may start off a little slow, but the dialog and descriptions are important. By the middle of the second chapter it takes off and doesn't slow down. Marc has known since her first met Noelle that she was his Fated mate, but her focus determination to find her sister and get her back had her zeroing on Dane, leader of the American Dragons. (Fated Dragons Book 5 - Claimed By the Dragon). Always standoffish with the group, When he claimed Liana as his mate she attempted to overthrow Dane and claim the clan as her own and use the power behind the position to fins her. When that failed she withdrew further. Now each sits on the sidelines discouraged. Nicole because she is ashamed of her actions and Marc because he is unsure of Nicole and if he can even trust her. Both are about to learn that the bond between Fated mates does not die, nor can it be ignored forever.

They must rely on one another when they go undercover in the GOE (Guardians of Earth) organization to rescue Marc's mother recaptured and imprisoned by them in Elemental Dragons Book 2 - The Dragon's Lover). With only each other to rely on and trust they risk their lives to infiltrate the organization and attempt a rescue.

This is the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone with little trouble. Elemental Dragons is a spin-off of the series Fated Dragons. Whether you are new to this writer like myself or have read her books from the beginning you will find that her talent is in weaving her stories in a way the ensnare the reader in a web of intrigue and suspense with a dose of romance to take the edge off.

A well written plot that moves at a steady to fast pace, coupled with multidimensional characters that you become invested in and want to learn more about make The Dragon's Woman and book you want to read. Don't be surprised if you find yourself like I did going back to Fated Dragons to read about the Welsh Dragon Wars to see how it all got started. Luck for you the first three are bonuses in this book.

My rating of "The Dragon's Woman - Elemental Dragons Book 3" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.

Noelle and Dane stood back quietly while Marc argued with his father who had allowed his children, for a number of years, to think he was dead. Finally, Noelle pulled Marc out of there and took him to her small trailer to talk. She told him of the murder of her parents and how her sister had disappeared. And she acknowledged to herself that Marc was her mate, despite wanting to mate the leader of the clan to get the power she needed to lead a search group to find Mary – if she wasn’t already dead after all the years.

Luc and Anya joined them and they began to make a plan to rescue their mother who was being held by GOE. This also fit Noelle’s desire to see if they held her sister captive, as she suspected. Noelle had a contact who could make IDs for them. And in the course of their talking to him, she discovered he had been captured by GOE for a time as well! It was why he was currently a drug addict trying to forget what they did to him. The torture drove many out of their minds. Would they be too late to save Marc’s mother who was already in bad mental shape? Would they find Mary there as well? Or would they both themselves be captured and experimented on until they lost their own minds?

I love a fast-paced story with tons of action, and this one didn’t disappoint! When we finally have hope that Noelle and Marc may get closer to each other, they are launched into terrible danger to save their families. Don’t miss this story – it’s definitely a good one!

My heart aches when mate bonds are shunned, denied, or broken. Marc has so much patience with Noelle though I don't think she always deserves it. With her past I can understand her hesitation but I find her actions more than frustrating because of how long she denies who she knows is a good man. Her dragon man is wonderful and I'm definitely on his side on this one. They make a good partnership, however, when they band together to do something dangerous, a bit reckless, and for the good of their dragon family. When they come together their passion is intense and filled with so much of Marc's heart that I find myself forgiving Noelle a little bit. I do find her withholding important information frustrating, though, because for once I thought she was going to do the better thing, the right thing, but it turns out that she just goes right back to being a team of one while giving her mate lip service, both literally and figuratively. When the worse comes to worst, though, she gives him the trust he deserves and he gives it right back. Their mission is complete, but not without some losses, some gains, and discoveries that serve to help with all kinds of healing. Overall, this story was pretty good and ended with light and humor when the beginning didn't promise such.

Read and willingly reviewed this ARC for the author.

Marc wishes his mate, Noelle, would stop running away from him... He knew she had baggage but he'll everyone does... He knows he can wait her out, he has waited this long, but damn how much longer can this go on? Noelle's sister, Mary, went missing in the early sixties. She looked everywhere for her.. but has now come to the realization that Mary has to be dead.. Noelle and Marc go on a mission to find his mother that was taken in book 2 by the GOE.. an organization that is doing experiments on dragons...

I enjoyed this book... Marc and Noelle come to realize that they can depend on each other... Coming together to get things done.. not the way they planned.. but it work in the end.... If you have not read the other books in the series I recommend you take the time to do so as it will help because the plot is continuing... Just the H and h change in each book..

Marc and Noelle

Noelle and Marc go undercover to a GOE facility to try to find Lucia, Marc's mom.
I like Marc's character, he was strong and willing to wait for his mate to come around to caring about her. Noelle, I did not like simply for the fact that she wanted to be mated to the leader Dane. So even though Marc knew they were mates for over a decade, she decided he wasn't what she wanted. Finally when Dane mated Liana, she realized she wasn't going to mate him. She still held Marc at arm's length, not wanting to care about anyone.
There are plenty of dragons rescued at the end, so we should get more dragon stories. I hope the next book tells about what Noelle caught on the wire tap she wore, hopefully there is evidence Lianna and Anna can use to fight GOE.

Very glad I purchased!

I have very quickly become invested in this series. This book is well written and action filled. I love the complex characters that you watch slowly bloom as they become stronger together. As their lives entwine you feel their pain, their doubts, and their love as they join not only with each other but become a true part of the community as a whole. You get to visit with the couples that you met in the beginning of the dragon series and wonder at which community members story of their own HEA we get to experience next! I was lucky to get this book to read prior to release, but I also purchased in support of this author bringing us more stories!

Ms. Hartley has written another winner with this latest installment in her Elemental Dragons series! She drew me into the story right away and kept me there until the end. This book is packed with emotion and features suspense, danger, passion, and romance enough to satisfy readers of any genre.
Marc has recognized Noelle as his mate and has been waiting for ten years for her to realize it. Noelle is too worried about finding answers to her sister's disappearance to think about anything else. Together, they must go undercover to try and find answers at GOE.
I absolutely love this series and this book! I highly recommend it.

I just loved Marc. He was so patient...more patient than I would have ever been with Noelle. That girl just got on my nerves in the past books. I still had trouble connecting with Noelle because I didn't fully understand her obsession with being Dane's mate. I mean yes, it was explained but I just couldn't fully get it and it just made me very leery of her. Now Marc, he had my heart. He just wanted to love her but he waited...and he waited a looooooooooooong time for her to be ready. Ugh....he was just too adorable.

Wow! Fast paced action and steamy love scenes, this book is great! I loved the interaction of Marc and Noelle, both are such strong characters who are able to calm the other’s anger and emotions. A well written story that I couldn’t put down. I look forward to the next book in the series to see what happens to the GOE and the rest of this dragon family.

Third in the spin off series of dragon shifters. He knows she is his mate and has for years. She knows he is too, but keeps pushing any feelings for him away. Now they must team up to save a dragon. I love the whole group of dragons in this series. Each dragon is different in personality as well as the type of dragon. Their dedication to each other goes beyond anything. Contains lots of action, some humor and some hotness.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

I liked this. Marc was one of the fun twins that got introduced early in the series and I was looking forward to his story. Noelle was a mysterious woman that Marc ended up being extremely attached to, considering his secret about choosing her as his mate. Their story started off where we ended in the last book, and it was kinda exciting. I liked the action bits. The secret undercover work. The darker details.

When you know who your mate is but they fight the connection or deny the connection. Which is the case in this story but there maybe a light at the end of all of this. Mark is the second of the twins the supposedly the calmer if the two but he’s burning hotter than hell. And to make matters worse he’s mate is a fire dragon who has one wicked temper and burns all the time.
I enjoyed this read some great twists to be had in this story also.

Great series! This was Noelle and Marc's story. Noelle was in denial about heir connection. However, they have to work together on a life or death mission and true feelings come into play. I really enjoyed this series installment. There's so much more here to build on, definitely can't wait for the next one.

Love this third book of this wonderful series! Marc has waited 10 years to finally be with his mate, Noelle. Marc and Noelle are wonderful characters who are great together, and Marc has waited long enough for his mate! It's a great romance with action and suspense mixed in.

Both have known for years that they are mates, but neither feel worthy. What happens when they have a chance to save Marc's mother? Will Noelle be able to open her heart to love?

LOVED seeing Noelle get a mate. I loved Marc's character and how patient he had been. I didn't necessarily blame Noelle for her thinking on not deserving a mate, but was proud when she finally let him in. Great read!

I liked the dragon rescue story and the introduction of new characters and types of dragons. I didn't really feel the connection as much between Marc and Noelle though. I expected since they were both dragons to see a intense immediate passionate connection that really never happened.

Once again ms Emilia doesn’t disappoint. I love the way she writes, it’s like you are really there. Trying to help out where you can. I hope there are lots more books in this series. You don’t really need to read the first 2 books. But there are people from those 2 books. So it makes more since.

This is Marc and Noelle's story. With his twin mated, Marc hopes his mate Noelle lets him into her heart soon. He is feeling lonely and frustrated that his mother is once again imprisoned by GOE. He is barely holding it together and could sure use his mate's help. Noelle is not sure why she is keeping Marc at arms length. She knows he is her mate but the years of trying to get close to Dane only to fail, have left her feeling jaded and vulnerable. She also feels guilty that her sister was taken by GOE and she has been unable to find her.

Marc and Noelle hatch a plan to infiltrate GOE and rescue Marc's mother. The plan is a dangerous one since if they are discovered to be dragons they will be put in cells right next to Lucia.

I was given an ARC of this book. My review is voluntary.

The Dragon's Woman by Emilia Hartley
What a great read! I finished it with a woop of joy! Emilia writes great books and this was another that had me on the edge of seat at times biting my nails! And I don't even bite my nails! But everytime the main girl Noelle bit hers I joined her in empathy. Noelle meets her mate and they have a wild ride. His mum has been taken by the GEO, true baddies and Noelle is also searching there for her long lost sister. They have a huge task ahead, to try saving the dragons taken and tortured terribly by the dreaded Geo. Read for yourself about their adventure to right wrongs. I can't possibly do the story justice.

Good, OMG you've got to be kidding this book was outstanding I just can't believe what a phenomenal series this has turned out to be. This lady is a magnificent writer.
Noelle and her little sister Mary are Gold Dragon Shifters. Not agreeing with politics of the clans, her family were hiding in plain sight. When the girls were in their young teens they were found out, they're parents were murdered, the girls barely escaped. Later Mary just disappeared, Noelle blamed herself she wasn't good enough to help her parents, to take care of her sister, she wouldn't be good enough for anybody she knew it,  "SHE WAS A FAILURE". Now she was afraid she'd fail Marc in his mission.
Luc & Marc Avila are Twin Dragon Shifters whose parents were taken
when they were very young. Living in the streets, bordering on starvation, Dane took them under his wing helping them survive. They still never stopped looking for there parent since, even with that little inkling in their heads saying they're dead now. They won't stop trying to expose the GOE and shut down every facility that they can.
Hector and Lucia Avila are mates,
they we're both captured by the GOE "Guardians of Existence" Lucia was tortured and broken, many decades ago. Went into hiding telling none of there family. Than Lucia was taken again.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Noelle has been searching for her sister for years. After disappearing one night, finding her has been her main focus. She knew that her sister was either dead or being held by the Guardians of Existence, a terrible group of humans who has made it business to exterminate and study dragons.
Marc is a pro at burying her feeling and emotions. When his father shows up on their family doorsteps asking for help to rescue their mother after decades of the family thinking they were dead after being caught by the Guardians, Marc can hold back in longer. The touch of his mate is what calms him, even though Noelle will not acknowledge he as her mate. Noelle does acknowledge, however, that they are going to rescue his mother which is an opportunity to help and look for her sister as well. Will Marc find his mother alive? Will Noelle find her any information on her sister? With them working together, will the bond finally be accepted or finally tear them apart?
This was a good read. I was unaware of it being part of series before reading. The author does recommend reading the other books before hand, but is not a necessity. I felt a little lost because of not reading the books that came before this one. The author did a good job in filling the reader in on the basics, but I know I would have enjoyed the book so much more if I read the others first. I would have connected with the characters so much more. Besides that, good story. The authors writing style was easy to read and she kept the story flowing well. I will definitely read more in the series after I read the first books. I gave this a four star read.
