Qua loves Wynner. Wynner loves Qua. Easy enough, right? But Wynner came with two brothers who couldn't stand Qua with their baby sister. This was good. Can’t wait to see what happens with all the characters in the other books.

This was really a good story....those brothers were a mess and their little sister was a sweetie....but the downside of this was that this was an audiobook and a cliffhanger. Book 2 & 3 are not available in the audio format, so I guess I'll never know how this story will end.

This book was really good. The author built up the characters so they can stand up on there own and without a partner. Remi was very independent and head strong and just wanted some one to love. Tweeti was my girl her and Jah were hilarious. Lira was aggy af and Uzi gave her too much play. But,Uzi should’ve told Remi everything before hand. Can’t wait til part 2

Not sure about this one
Not sure about this book. It was ok, but I felt like something was missing. Remi was always talking about all her bills. What bills she stayed at home with her mom and sister so what bills did she have? Yuri and Kandle's relationship was confusing. Uzi talked about the type of female that Kandle was, but he continued to sleep with her. Qua claimed to love Wynner so much but he leaves her in the hospital to go to Miami to handle business. Shouldn't his wife be his number one priority if he loved her so much. Then to know your wife is sick and you kicking it the next chick. Then he doesn't mention that he married. Qua is on some ish. I don't know a lot about lupus, but I have work with someone who had it, and I've never know her to be in the hospital as much as Wynner. I think that was a little over board. I love Jah and Tweeti though, they were the only characters would made sense in this book. Hopefully book 2 will be a lot better than this book. Because I know Jahquel can write some bad assets books.

A chaotic masterpiece—I’m hooked!
Every single character in this book is a mess in their own unique way, and I loved it. Jahquel J had me all over the place laughing, side-eyeing, and gasping at the drama. The storytelling is wild and addictive. I can already see where this is headed, and I’m ready to dive into the rest of the series!!! 🤦🏽♀️📚🤷🏽♀️

Oh I can already tell this is going to be a great series!! A few of these characters are about to be on some serious BS. I can’t wait to dive into book 2. I loved the character development so far. I can smell the DRAMA coming a mile away.

I enjoyed the book but I can also tell this is an earlier book just based on the interaction between characters. It was a lot going on within this book, but it was almost too much at times. It’s a solid book but I wouldn’t read more out of the series.

The book went well as I go through the journey of Wynner and Qua, Jah and Tweeti, and lastly Uzi and Remi.
I could respect the fact that Qua was a young man, that provided for his wife, who adored his wife, and was frustrated when it came to fatherhood, but what I can't respect is if Qua cheated on Wynner with this Olay chick. Wynner had been faithful as faithful could be, so there wasn't any reason as to why Qua should have cheated on Wynner, period. If Qua was unhappy, he should've discussed that with Wynner.
Jah and Tweeti was so cute together. They began to catch more and more feelings for one another. What I loved, was that Tweeti didn't treat Jah any different than anyone else, because of his handicap. Tweeti was blunt, so if she felt a type of way, she would tell Jah, and vice versa.
Uzi needed to get it together, because if Remi wasn't who he wanted, he should've stayed with Lira. I didn't like Lira, because she was a promiscuous woman, and lied about it. If she wanted to be promiscuous, that was her business, but to lie about it, was just wrong. Uzi claimed he wanted Remi, but he kept leading Lira on.
Uzi and Qua needed to get themselves together, before they lost good women for no reason at all. Uzi just needed to show Remi, she was all the woman that he needed, and leave Lira right where he met her. Qua needed to show appreciation to his wife, and show her, she was all that he needed. Qua needed to show his wife that she means the world to him, and that he would never step out on her.

Jaq and Tweetie are hilarious together and Remi is going to give Parrish a run for his money. Jah and Wynner love each other but I have a feeling their love is going to be tested. I hope Jah does not mess this marriage up with a blast from his past. Remi is feeling Parrish but one of her co-workers lets some news out that I have not heard about since ?????? Part 2 Asap!!!!

Surprise
Tweeti has to be my favorite character. I enjoyed her openness and her charisma. She love who she is and I think that's why her a Jah get along so well. But she be cracking on him like crazy. I feel bad for Wyn has to go through, and I'm starting the 2nd guess Qua. I have this feeling he is up to something. Each relationship has a challenge but the brother in this book know how to treat a woman. Uzi's mom however always gives him a hard time about woman. Uzi is bullheaded, he challenges everything but he love hard. I kept trying to figure out this hold Lira had on him, like girl get your life. Boy boy when I say that ended escalated quickly, Geesh. I don't know what Remi is going to do, but I have feeling it's going to be some smoke in the city.

I got this book from Sound Commentary. I'm not going to review it over there because I don't have a lot of great things to say about it. I got through about 4 hours of it before I decided to just DNF. I should have stopped early on when Remi called someone's slanted eyes "chinky." Cuz no, sis.
Also, I've gotten to a point in my life where excusing people's abusive/ toxic behavior as "over- protective" is done. I was surprised to find out that the author is a woman because the whole book is pretty much the "when male authors write women" hashtag.
I loved that each character had their own voice for audio.

My heart is beating so fast right now
Jahquel never disappoints and this book was no different. I love Jah and Tweeti together because they have this dope chemistry. I'm not sure how I feel about Uzi and Remi. I think he has way too much going on with Lira to be trying to wife Rem especially with that bomb she dropped. I get the feeling Qua about to do something dumb since that Olay chick popped up, I just hope if he does Wyn is strong enough to handle it on move on cause I can guarantee that Olay chick going to end up pregnant

Very good
Very good book. Intriguing. Kept my attention. I loved Jah and Tweeti together, they're my favorite. That whole Lira, remi, uzi love triangle is a real whopper. Can't wait to see how that turns out. My only gripe (and it's very small) is that sometimes it hard to keep up with who is speaking when multiple characters are having a conversation. It would make it a little bit easier if the author would make note of who is talking bc it gets confusing. But other than that it's a very good story and I'm on my way to part 2 right now!!!

A really great read
Is it too much to ask that Jah magically gets up and walk? I love this personality although he’s confined to a while chair. I’m praying Wynner and Qua can weather the storm I really hope she can give her husband what he really wants. As for Kandle ughhhh I can’t stand her. Parrish needed to be honest about his an Lira’s history from the beginning. Waiting for part 2

This is my very first read by this author, but most definitely not my last. Really enjoyed this book and I like they way she build the characters. It moved at a steady pace with a good flow. I enjoyed all the characters and them as couples and loved their development and growth and I know it's so much more to come. I can see some twist and turns and messy situations on the horizon to make a very entertaining read. Great job Jahquel J and can't wait to see what all happens in PT. 2.

These characters had me talking to my iPad! I love Remi and respect her love for herself and hustle. Tweeti is a mess but I think she has a good heart. Jan is a good match for her and vice versa. Uzi needs to get himself together and leave Lira alone. He has a good woman but wants to mess with trash. Qua is a good dude but he better not get comfortable with Wynner’s love. I need one of these couples to actually be committed to each other and faithful.

The start of a bomb a$$ series! I just know everything that follows will be on fire! First of all Jah is bae! I just loveeeeee him. Tweeti is everything and a bag of chips with her out spoken self. lol had me laughing hard at the jokes she was cracking. I love hers and Remi’s close relationship. Hoping their mom gets clean and stays that way. I hope Qua dont turn out to be a wolf in expensive clothing. Don’t go breaking Wyn’s heart. And poor Wyn having to deal with her illness. Can’t wait to see what the next book has in store for us!

I am back again to be pulled into the world of street kings and the women who love them.I have laughed out loud,screamed because I just couldn't keep my emotions to myself.This was just what I needed to feel not only my day but my need to read and just lose myself to this world.The writer gives us story with adults who are trying to navigate not only life but love as well,and we all know who that tends to go.This is just good writing and a really good story.

I enjoyed reading this book. Two over protective brothers, of their baby and only sister, feel some type of way about her husband. Then the brothers started dating two sisters but it took a minute to get to dating status. Everything seems to be going good for all the couples but some things are not sitting right. Read the book to find out their stories. Plus it continues with another book. I'm excited to see what happens!

What a read
I'm loving this story so far. Ion know how to feel about Qua. I just hope he don't cheat on Wynner. She goes through enough with having Lupas and she's stood by him from day one. This story turned out good. The author set the stage in book one for the readers to get to know the characters and a little bit of the drama in their lives. I think Uzi and Remi could be a cute couple, but I'm more interested in Tweeti and Jah. Tweeti and Jah together is a hilarious mess. Qua and Wynner seem like a disaster waiting to happen. It was hard to believe he loved her as much as he claimed but stayed going out of town while she was in the hospital. It was also confusing that Uzi was concerned about how Qua was going to treat Wynner but didn't pull him back from the out of town trips. I'm curious to see how things play out with the two of them.
Lira was annoying from start to finish. I already don't like Uzi and Jah's mom and can't wait to see his fathers reaction to the secret. Book two has to be filled with drama, with the way book one ended.

Yeahhhh, these characters about to be on some bs 🤣 Tweeti be giving Jah hell! Uzi done met his match with Remi. She is very much the strong independent type & ion think he use to that. Wynner honestly seems so sweet & I know Qua finna do some wild 💩. Tbh, that cliffhanger didn’t come as a shock. It was definitely hinted that Uzi & Lira had some hidden secret so I kinda seen that coming. Gotta see how this play out!

I did enjoy reading this however Lire/Kandle & Uzi did just too much just to find out they have a child together that neither ever seem to spend time with!! I'm very interested in seeing how this is going to play out in book # 2!! Let's get it Jahquel J.!! I loved Jah & Tweeti that's a darn spin-off there as well as Qua and Wynner's story line. I can see 4 or 5 more in this series!!

Ugh I can't stand Lira! Now I know why his mother was like that about her. I want him and Remi to be together, I love the Jah and Tweeti are together they deserve to be happy. I hope Qua isn't stupid enough to cheat of Wynner and hopefully is finally able to a baby.

Omg first I have to say I can’t believe it ended like that. I really hope he don’t have a baby with that hoe, I had such high hopes for him. Nah but I love me some Jah 💙💙💙. And I need for wyn to get it together, she needs to get her confidence up an if her husband on some grimy stuff divorce him and be sure to get half of everything lol great book I can’t wait for part 2
