It’ll take a wild storm for the princess of Buckhorn, Kentucky, to catch the new sheriff’s eye—and heart—in this scorching new Buckhorn novella…
Kady Kaspar’s sights have been set on Tucker Turley for far too long—and she’s tired of waiting for Buckhorn’s handsome sheriff to notice her. When a heavy storm brings them together, it’s about time to test the waters and see if the intense attraction she feels goes both ways. Because if it does, he’s about to learn how stubborn she can be…
Of all the things Tucker expected to deal with when the rain started to pour, a litter of stranded puppies and spitfire Kady, who’s determined to seduce him, sure didn’t make the list. Yet there he is, bachelor pad overflowing with furballs and Kady in his bedroom. He’s wanted her for years, but given her family’s prestige, he needs to know that she’s serious before he makes any further moves…but will his caution cost him everything?

Tucker was a short novella in Lori Foster’s Buckhorn Brothers series.
Kady was Gabe Kaspar’s (original Buckhorn) daughter. She was currently the meteorologist for the local station where she was born and raised. Tucker Turley was the local Buckhorn Sheriff. He had moved to Buckhorn five years ago. They were both interested but Tucker never acted upon any of the numerous hints from Kady over the years.
True to Foster’s style, it was another sweet story filled with favorites of the Buckhorn royalty showing humor, loyalty, protectiveness and fun. There wasn’t depth as a novella and the drama was kept to a minimum, yet it was still well written and entertaining. The main storyline focused on the push and pull of Sheriff Turley and then finally the acceptance and boldly claiming what was his.
The Buckhorn series has always been one of my favorites. This one was a little too short for me, but still enjoyable. I look forward to more Buckhorn madness in the future.
Another cute comfy read. Tucker was kind of an idiot in the beginning, with his assumptions about Kady but I liked that he quickly changed his tune when he finally got to really know Kady the woman.
I also liked Kady and Mama and her pups! LF wrote another sassy heroine, hunky hero and enough steam and romance to keep me coming back for more.
Gabe Kasper's little girl, Kady, is all grown up and has her sights set on Tucker Turly, the handsome, hunk who is Buckhorn's current sheriff. Tucker has had his eye on Kady too, but she is a notorious flirt and her family is Buckhorn Royalty. Messing with the little princess could be dangerous if things didn't work out. Kady sees an opportunity when she comes upon Tucker on a dark stormy night and makes her move, or did Tucker make the first move? Well, they get sideswiped and ended up swapping spit. Where is goes next is a wonderful, but way to short, romance.
I love any excuse to revisit Buckhorn and Tucker definitely delivered! Adorable pups, well intentioned, yet nosey family members, and one magnetized romance?! I love the newest addition to the Buckhorn family!
Tucker is the town sheriff who is kinda lusting after Gabe Kasper's oldest daughter, Kady. She's the town news station's meteorologist and has been in love with and saving herself for Tucker since she was old enough to be attracted to him. Tucker though has no idea that she likes him because she's a fairly flirtatious (she says she's just nice) young lady and she acts the same way with him as she does with all the other guys in town...so how is he to know she's interested? And with a family like hers, one does not approach without the green light clearly visible. So when an accident brings them together and their intentions into the open, Tucker can start wooing the woman he wants.
That's basically it. This is short and sweet without a lot of angst or action. It's fluff. Tucker is a sweetheart who takes in a dog who has puppies and this takes up some time, especially as Kady steps into help out and gush over Tucker's big heart. Tucker gets hurt in an accident and this is what keeps them from physical consummation of their relationship, and adds a bit to the UST, but not much. Other than that, not much happening here. It was a good read, but not particularly memorable. I did like that Kady and her opinions/wants/desires are listened to and respected not only by Tucker but by her family as well. This author can occasionally go overboard with the misogynistic guys so this was a bit of a relief.

This book, Sigh, I swear I always run into novellas that I wish were full length. I adored the whole family. So much so, I’ve bought the entire series, lol. Yes, I’m going to go back to the beginning, I want to get to know them all.
We meet our sweet & flirty Kady, Whose been waiting for Tucker to show any interest in her for forever, but at 25, she’s had enough. As the local weatherman in her small town, she meets our hunky Sheriff Tucker out in a storm they are both no trapped in. A kiss finally happens and this sweet romance is off and running....
Tucker has always had a thing for Kady, but between her flirty ways (she’s really just a sweetheart) and her ginormous family, he’s been unwilling to make a move. That kiss changes everything.
Way too short for me because I’m selfish like that, but if Lori Foster meant to grab my attention to this series, she did it in a big way! I sincerely think it can be read as a stand-alone, especially if you don’t have all day to read something full length.
I loved the cast of supporting characters, however I appreciate that they didn’t overpower the romance either. Also, that cover is smoking HOT! Whoever did it, tied in the “rain” feelings that are central to the story. Well done.
This was a sweet and sexy story! I love the Buckhorn Brothers series and these small, fundraising novellas each year have been so much fun!
Kady Kasper is one of Jordan's daughters, and she's now the local meteorologist. She's beautiful, and sweet, and genuinely nice to everyone. She's had it bad for the sheriff for years, but he never seems to notice her.
Sheriff Tucker Turley has wanted Kady since he first saw her 5 years before. But, he thinks she's a big flirt, and he's one of many she gives her attention to, so he doesn't take her seriously. Also, her family is a big deal in the town and he doesn't want to start anything with her if she's not serious about him.
A storm, and some wet, muddy puppies, finally bring Tucker and Kady together and I loved their chemistry. Once Tucker finally realized how much he'd misjudged Kady, he was all in. I really liked how he approached everything with her family and let them know he was serious about her.
This was a fun, short story and I really enjoyed it. Plus, the money made from the book is going to support animals in need. What's better than that?!
I absolutely love Lori Foster's The Buckhorn Brothers series. It is always a pleasure to return to this special place and family. This is Tucker and Kady's (Gabe's daughter) story.
I like these shorts that are in the next generation of Buckhorn kids. I like that Kady's had a crush on Tucker for years and flirts with him. It's too bad that he is clueless though. I like that Kady made the first move after deciding enough was enough.
I liked how Tucker courted Kady and how he dealt with the Buckhorn uncles, worming his way into their good graces. The storm drama was crazy, I was glad everything ended well.
On a side note, I loved the dog/puppy parts, so cute!
Tucker is a strong, sexy cop who wants Kady but thinks she is way too flirty and he doesn't want to get involved with her. Kady is a weather forecaster and she is Gabe Kasper's eldest daughter. She is a lot like him.
When bad weather bad weather forces them together they have a accident and save a mamma dog and her pups, things begin to change.
Tucker rethinks his position on Kady and she continues to push his buttons with a confidence she may not always feel.
Of course her huge family gets involved but Tucker takes things at his own pace but will it be too late?
Great read. Kady is strong and independent and goes after what she wants but she also is vulnerable and uncertain at times, very real. Tucker is strong and sexy and perhaps a little narrow minded where Kady is concerned. Her family pops up in this book because really how could they not. They are a nosey close knit family who likes to meddle in each other's business but there is so much love and loyalty that you can't help but fall under their spell.
“Tucker” by Lori Foster is another steamy, sensual installment of her Buckhorn Brothers series.
Kady Kasper is a meteorologist and has been in love with Tucker Turley for five years. Tucker is the Sheriff of Buckhorn and has been in love with Kady for just as long. He hasn’t made a move because, not only is Kady a flirt, she’s part of a large and well-known family of Buckhorn. When he finds out how she feels, and gets approval from Kady’s father and uncles, Tucker lets her know. Kady and Tucker are wonderful together. Kady is strong and independent and Tucker is protective and honorable.
Since proceeds of “Tucker” go to an animal shelter (check out Ms. Foster’s website for details), it is fitting that we get to meet “Mama” and her brood. There are also appearances of the original Buckhorns – Gabe, Morgan, Jordan, and Sawyer.
I love how Ms. Foster weaves them, and other family members, into this story.
Lori Foster is such an amazing Author. This is just one of the many books that proves it. This is a very quick read, but that shouldn't stop you from reading it. The story is very cute and the only complaint I have is not getting to know the characters more. This book was written for Lori's RAGT charity for a no kill animal shelter. So I mainly purchased it for that purpose. I do love the characters though and if you are someone who loves to read, but you don't get a whole lot of time to then this is defiantly the book for you. The story is a really sweet one. I won't give any spoilers, but I love how a daring kiss, a dog, and a storm brings them together. By the way, if you love animals, this book will melt your heart.
This was like the cutest novella that Lori Foster has put together. I read the first part of the series "Buckhorn Beginnings" a while back so it was nice yo see that she has continued and now is starting on the 2nd generation. Kady is the eldest daughter of Gabe he is the 3rd son in the series and she has been in love with Tucker for what feels like forever.
Tucker is the sheriff of Buckhorn, and he knows that Kady is off limits even if she even if she is the only person he thinks about and has for 5 years. So when a storm puts them in each other's path, it will be an all or nothing kind of situation, plus he has a wayward dog and her four furball puppies to worry about as well.
Quick read, and a cute story for those that are fans you will not be disappointed.

Aww what a great short story. I love these benefit books that Lori Foster puts out. You get an all new story and you get to help animals in need too. It's so wonderful. This story revisits her popular Buckhorn series with a new generation of love stories. Kady has been waiting years for Tucker to finally realize that she only had eyes for him. When he finally realizes that the attraction between them is mutual there's no holding him back. Loved both characters. Loved their chemistry and their interactions. Very cute and sexy. A very enjoyable story.
I loved this novella!!! Tucker is the sheriff in Buckhorn, Kentucky who is proud of his life and job but it is Kady Kaspar, 5 years younger than Tucker, who he has always had eyes for--too bad he tells himself she is a flirt and assumes she has dated so many guys. Now at 25 years old Kady & Tucker (30 years old) are trapped in a car in a storm when Kady reveals who she really is (and what she really wants) and boy was Tucker wrong about her. I loved the dog with her puppies scenes, Tucker & Kady's kissing and deepening relationship and as always, love the backdrop of the Buckhorn family dynamic! Foster has a great series with this family; can't wait to read more!
As with all the Buckhorn stories this was one was swift in the decision of love & hot with the chemistry of Tucker & Kady. A wet dog in a storm just recently having given birth brings Tucker & Kady closer together much to her liking. Long overdue to acknowledge that he’s been wrong about Kady, Tucker finally confronts his feelings for her & finds to his joy that she feels the same, but a tornado might take all that away. This very well written story keeps us glued to the pages as we watch the drama of Tucker & Kady become a couple. Definitely recommend.
Tucker takes us back to Buckhorn, featuring Kady Kasper, one of Jordan’s daughters, and the newest sheriff Tucker Turley. It’s a quick read, but has all the chemistry and romance we expect to see in a Lori Foster book, along with glimpses into all our other favorite Buckhorn couples. It can be read as a stand-alone, but the reader benefits from reading the rest of the Buckhorn series for the background. Plus they’re all good books!
I have a soft spot for the Buckhorn brothers, the original ones. We've seen them all get married, have children and now we are blessed to read the stories of their kids. I liked this one as I did like Gabe, and loved his story with Elizabeth. Now his daughter gets her own story. This was a sweet love story, one which was typical of Buckhorn county. I hope we continue to see more Buckhorn stories :)
This novella is another in the Buckhorn series. Although it stands alone, you will enjoy it more if you are familiar with the series.
Kady has wanted Tucker forever, it seems, and he has some misunderstandings about her. The family and friends help him understand so she can get her HEA.
Lori Foster is one you can always count on to give you an amazing read! She does it again! Being back in Buckhorn is always fun and now she is sharing a whole new generation! I love the brothers and their children are just as spunky sassy and sexy as them! A must read!
Loved this short story about Tucker and Kady - such attraction between the two of them. In addition, there is great family dynamics, humor, some perceptions that aren't reality, and of course, the adorable mama and her puppies. This is the first Buckhorn Brothers story I've read - but definitely won't be the last.
Great addition to the Buckhorn series. I was wanting to read about Gabe's daughters since I read about them in Casey. Tucker is a wonderful hero for Kady. They are a perfect couple. I would recommend this story to any adult reader who enjoys sexy heroes and spunky heroines.
Love the Buckhorn series. The young ones grown and finding their loves makes me sigh happily. I thought Tucker was a true hero and Kady was right there with him. Loved both their characters as I laughed, worried and felt their chemistry. Having furbabies in a story is always bonus to me, they always add that extra goodness.
Great Short read! The. Buckhorn brothers were my first Lori Foster books and I loved them! I am happy Lori has extended the series to include the kids even if they are short novellas. This was about Kady who has been in love with Tucker for ages and it's about time he notices. There is great chemistry between Tucker and Kady, and of course the scenes are hot! Some great cameos by the original Buckhorn Brothers as well!
I love the Buckhorn series. Kady fell in love with Tucker when she was 20 years old and tried to catch his eye. Tucker thought she was a big flirt but finds out she has waited for him all along. on a stormy night, the finally manage to get together with the help of a abandoned mama dog and her puppies. Very sweet read.
Tucker is the sheriff of Buckhorn and there is one woman he wants Kady but she is someone he should not want and Kady has wanted fphim forever and now since they are stranded in the storm if a century is her chance to make her move and then add in a mother and her puppies this story just got better.
The only thing I didn’t like this story ended way too fast with no epilog
It was a sweet and uncomplicated story. I like all Lori Foster books. I was thinking how can she make this one stand out? Well she did. For me to say anymore will be sharing spoilers, so I'll just say read it for yourself. Was it the best I've read, no, but it was a fun read.
