WOW!!!

My, my, my what a web we weave, so we find out that the past has a way of coming back full force with Karma at the realm to cease the debt owned. Sade was a true fugaze....no true diamond at all, God dont like ugly. I give this story 4.5 stars with its nice blend of suspense and chaotic motives. Great job Charae Lewis I wasn't going to put this story down until I finished.

****I'm mad as shit. I wrote a whole long review, like I always do. Then tried to go to kindle and write a shorter one for Amazon and it overrode my Goodreads review. My phone remembered some of what I said. The original was better, but this close enough.***

This author is a fucking BEAST! She makes me want to print every word I've ever written, set the shit on fire, destroy the files, and vow never to attempt to write another story again in my life, but she also inspires me to perfect my craft. Because I'm crazy...I know.

The twist in this story was fucking crazy and unexpected. It seems like it came from out of nowhere, but Sade's sister's attitude toward her parents and her indifference toward Sade had me wondering if the father was touching her. And he was! I didn't understand why Sade acted like she didn't know why her sister ain't fuck with them.

Who's the villain? The easy answer is Quest, right? He a stick up nigga and he a killer. But if you look at the fact that he loved Tata and would do anything in the world for her, believing that if she wanted somebody dead they probably deserved it, he's not the villain, he's a hero. We read books all the time from the perspective of characters like Quest who ride for the one's they love. And we root for them.

Is Tata the villain? She pretended to be a friend for YEARS only to set her up for the ultimate get back. Maybe she could have just distanced herself instead of plotting Sade's death. But you can't decide how a muhfucka responds to what you do to them.

Is Sade the villain? Probably, but you read this whole story wanting her to get her shit together so she and her love can get right and live happily ever after. You developed empathy for her.

That's what I love about Charae Lewis. Her characters are so human you can't even really decide who the bad guy is. I mean you can, but you have a lot of layers to lift and consider before you come to your conclusion.

I'm glad Devin never found out the whole truth. Losing Sade was enough. He was need the additional pain of finding out she cheated on him with the nigga who ended up robbing and almost killing him - basically she caused that shit to happen. Then to find out she was helping her pedophile ass daddy rape her friends.

It would have taken me less time to read, but I had to keep taking breaks to get myself together. This shit was stressing me out.

Mind Blown

This book is a like a Jedi mind trick. One minute you feel all the love and then the next it's like forget your feelings, you're about to get this work. It's like you have all the concern in the world rooting for the relationship. Tata is the best friend of the year, she got girl code down to a science. She's thoughtful and she prays. Devin had his hiccup but does everything in his power to keep his love. I mean things look good, but no Charae in one swift motion kicks you in the head with a twist. Sade starts acting a complete fool, and finds herself in a web of lies. One thing about her, she played her role to a Tee. I mean the most sadistic crap ever, the loyalty was never there, no amount of apologies could ever heal that pain. Like how could you be like that to a friend, Sade is rotten. The story will have you like wait, what?!, did that just really happen. I was baffled, but justice was necessary.

Well I'll be damn! I never expected the secret that unfolded. In the beginning I felt Sade overreacted to everything concerning Devin. She couldn't seem to accept the fact he wasn't out to hurt her. Originally I loved Sade and Tata's relationship because they managed to have each others back. I so wanted Devin to find out the truth about the so called love of his life. The turn of events literally left me like wtf! That was some secret for Tata to hold on to for so long and explained why Shawnee was always so cold. Quest was the bad boy that left Sade realizing she was royally screwed. Sade allowed her anger to cause her to make irrational decisions and she definitely murdered the us that was once her and Devin. I wish it was longer but Charae never disappoints.

Speechless

How Could You Murder Us? Charae Lewis is a good read. Charae Lewis did a excellent job. This book caught me attention and the storyline is on point. It's also a piece of puzzle.

I'm not going to say anything about this book because I want other readers to read her book. Sade is my least favorite character in this book. Tata is surprised and impressed to me but I'll definitely keep my mouth shut. She's a good friend to Sade but I understand Tata's pain. There was love and hate relationship between Tata and Sade. My heart goes to Devin because he's a good dude. Quest is a something else.

Good read:

Awesome read

This was such a great read! It was great from the beginning to the end. Its rare when your main character is totally messed up. I love how there was nothing unanswered. Also, the book was very realistic. Not everything in life is cookie cutter and this book sure tells you to keep your friends close but your enemies closer. I cannot wait to read another book from this author.

A life lesson

A great book that teaches one of life's greatest lessons, "don't trouble, when trouble don't trouble you." The main character was a very self absorbed, immature young woman. At times I wanted to reach in and slapped her. She was stubborn and refused to take responsibility for her actions and would lie, cry and scream to make sure things went her way. Eventually she paid dearly for these actions. A great read! A must read!

HCYMU: A Novella

This book was everything! Sade was a aggy af at throughout the book. I liked Devin he was down to earth and chill. He messed up once and got hell from Sade for it. Sade sneaky behind did worst and almost got caught but finessed her way out of it but this time the person that wanted her gone was the one that I didn’t expect at ALL! Charae’s growth shows time and time again. This made me angry, sad, happy, shocked and everything else you could feel reading this book. Great job Ming!

Good Read !!!

I'm like really OMG I can't believe that ending . This book was really entertaining I couldn't put it down . Payback is truly a motherfuc$er . I just wish the author would have given Sade and Shawnee perspective at the end why would Sade help her father that sick bastard to do that .Why would Angela allow a monster to prey on her child . I wouldn't mind a novella for Shawnee her story would be awesome .

WOW

This is my first time reading a book by Charae Lewis and i must say I enjoyed this book. As they say what's done in the dark will come to light. What you think you know about these characters leads right on up to the suspense, motive and the actual truth. I do wish that Devin was able to find out the type of person Sade really was and have some form of closure. But overall the book was good.

Wtf

I wasn't expecting that at all. Sade was so stupid, Devin was sweet and tata was an actress for real. It was a quick, crazy read. All of the secrets that came out made me like Sade less and less. I didn't care for her in the beginning, it was something about her that seemed shady from jump.

What?

I was worried about Safe when she called off her wedding because of a kiss at her fiancee's bachelor party. I thought she was being a little bet petty or spoiled; but to learn that a good friend would go through the length that Tata did, rattled me. This book is very good and I gave it five stars. Charae Lewis, this one was exceptional.

Great read!

Charae has done it again ! Excellent read. Once I started I couldn't put it down. I loved the surprises. I was shocked that Tata set her friend up like that, but I was even more shocked by what Sade did to Tata when they were younger. Shocking ending! I loved it! Can't wait to see what's next

Lawd Have Mercy

Mmm mmm mmm damn is all I can say. I don’t think Sade deserved all that although she was a effed up individual. Tata was a cold hearted girl but I get it. I enjoyed this book, it was short and sweet. Poor Devin, and I wonder if Shawnee will ever come forward with what she knows.

Oh my word, I usually fall in love with the main character but miss Sade was different for me, she worked my nerves the whole book. I truly enjoyed this ready though because once again Charae made a page turner! This book was a great read and when I made it to the end I was like well dang… that’s when the other shoe drops 😲
