A New Life on the Move..

This book centers around the female lead and how her life is affected by her fathers debts and her sisters grim fate.

The female lead decides to escape and must choose between two mail order husbands.

A very interesting and intriguing good read.

CJ McAllister did really well with the narration.

I have fallen in love with audible and with historical westerns. This story is exactly why. Two broken people who need each other terribly, they just don't know it yet and the path that brings them together.
Rachel and her sister Mary Beth had been left at the hands of their terrible father when their mother left. Mary Beth has been planning for her and Rachel to go out west and be mail order brides. She had been corresponding with two men and putting away money. But she ends up passing away and Rachel makes a run for it.
There are so many layers to this story and the narrator C J McAllistar brought this story of the heart alive and I did not want to miss a single word. I listened every spare minute I had and at the end, I could not wait to go to the next one by this author.. I just want to thank the author for making this available and she has won a devoted fan forever!

Getting married while pretending to be someone else does not seem like a good idea, so I wasn't sure about this book.

It exceeded my expectations, I really liked it, there were a few surprises throughout the book and I liked that there were unpredictable elements to the story.

Beg Wilson's story was an interesting one, I liked that the book gave a fair bit of his story because his life made him an unusual person.

The chemistry between Beg and Rachel was really strong and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop.

The narration was excellent, the character voices were well done and the delivery was smooth and enjoyable to listen to.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

I loved the narration of C.J. McAllister, his voice is full of appeal, humour and keeps the story alive.

Beg Wilson's life story life, made be fall in love with from the start. We soon find out why his life made him an unusual person. Rachel is given the gift of life by her sister, but only if she would risk that life for love.
The chemistry between Beg and Rachel was really strong and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop.

Both need to take big gambles on each other to find what they have always been looking for.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title.
Yes, her sister had planned everything, except not going with her.
Alone, she befriends another young lady, and together they continue their journey.
It is an interesting story, and the hand of fate bringing just the right people together, at just the right time.

Gambled Pride by Sandra E. Sinclair was a great read. Rachel and Beg are a couple that you grow to love and hope the best for. Rachel just lost her sister and is running away for a better future. Beg is trying to run away from his past mistakes. I loved reading their story.

In this lightly Christian mail order bride tale, Rachel is a 18 year old woman fleeing the recent death of her mom-like older sister (caused by the abuse of their father) who follows her sister's plan to travel to Colorado to meet a mail order intended, equally damaged by past trauma.
