I never stopped loving her. I needed to get her back.
I gave Julia a stupid ultimatum. I know it’s my fault she left. Our daughter had to live a life mostly with her mother.
My own mother wanted to go on a Caribbean vacation with us. But she didn’t know that Julia and I split. It must have been kismet when Julia contacted me out of the blue. I asked her for one favor, not knowing what she would say. I needed her to pretend to still be my wife in front of my mom on this vacation.
I’ve never stopped loving her. I have no idea what she thinks of me. But maybe this trip might give us just what we need to be a family again.

This was a great story and even I didn't see the twist coming. Loved the characters and the storyline. I can't wait for more from this author. Another five star hit!
One More Kiss is by Roxy Sinclaire and the first book in One More Series. It is a second chance romance. A different book then you might think but a good one. Julia and Aaron have a twisted relationship with drama, secrets, betrayal and turmoil. He never told his family about the divorce. So Julia has to go on a family trip with her ex-husband and daughter. There are a lot of twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat but a lovely ending.

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through bookfunnel arc.
Julia wanted to make sure that her mother was put in the institution and never get out. Julia calls Aaron and asked him if she could come home. It’s been five years that she chose her mother over her family and that teenage girl who also help destroy her family. Julia told Aaron she wanted to come back after 5 years to see her daughter. Aaron told her she could see Amy if she would do him a favor. Julia made good on her word and she did want to see Amy who ran to her when she saw her at the terminal. Julia finally tells Aaron what was going on she finally realized her mother was poisoning her. She also told him that she thinks she poisoned her father but had no proof. Aaron really wanted a second chance with his family together. It took a lot for Julia to open up to Aaron about the years she had been away. Amy didn’t want to let go of her she didn’t want to lose her mother again. Aaron kept pushing Julia to make a decision about their lives. It wasn’t until Aaron got one phone call while he was onboard the ship that would change his life. Will Aaron pushing Julia make her want to run away after the cruise. Would Julia stick around after she finds out about the call? Twists, turns, lies, and attempted murder.
In One More Kiss my heart went out for Julia, Aaron and their adorable little girl Amy. Roxy Sinclaire has penned a superb book here unlike any that I've read before. Julia sacrifices her own happiness to help her mother and protect her beloved husband, Aaron, and their daughter, Amy. Her mother has a chronic mental disorder that is incurable and Julia feels that she has no other choice but to leave her family for all those years. She is so protective that she won't explain to Aaron whom she loves desperately why she is leaving them. The love of a child for it's mum, and the love of a wife and of a mum are so deep that nothing else matters. Aaron still loves her and I thought he was wonderful, as well as extremely gorgeous. He sees a way to try to get her back and is determined that Julia will come willingly so that they can be whole again. Such emotions are woven within the pages of this tremendous book. There are times to cry, sigh, laugh and want to hold onto your loved one will all your might. I can't wait for Roxy Sinclaire's next story as I think she has outdone herself with this one. Outstanding I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
This was a great second chance romance. Julia left her husband and young daughter to return home and take care of her mom after the death of her dad. Her mom is very manipulative and controlling. She knows how to play on Julia's weaknesses. Julia's husband Aaron is left to raise their little girl Amy alone. He never told his family about the separation. Julia's mom is a very twisted sick person. In the beginning Julia doesn't see it. Julia finally realizes she can no longer put her life on hold. She has missed too much of her young daughter's life. When she calls Aaron to tell him she is ready to come home, he reluctantly agrees but he needs a big favor. He is taking Amy and his mom on a cruise and needs Julia to go along like they are still married. Will this finally be their second chance to be a family or will the hurt feelings, the betrayal and the secrets be too much to overcome? Or will Julia's mom's actions split them up for good?? There were a couple of twists I did not see coming! A truly excellent read. I received an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.
One More Kiss was a nice second chance romance with some intrigue and mystery. Julia left her husband and daughter 5 years ago to care for her ill mother. Now, though, she suspects her mother is mentally ill and has finally managed to get out from under her control by having her committed. She wants to go home to her family, but will Aaron let her? Will he let her back into their daughter's life? Will he let her back into his life?
Can Aaron and Julia have their second chance when there are people determined to see them apart? Is their love strong enough to withstand whatever outside forces throw at them?
If you like Roxy's criminal underground/mafia books, you'll like One More Kiss, too. It's got Roxy's usual suspense, just in a different form. It's also got Roxy's signature sexy style and entertaining characters. I think my favorite character this time around has to be their daughter, Amy. She's precocious and remarkably adult. I can't say I liked Julia very much, but I did like Aaron and am glad he got his second chance because it was obvious the love he and Julia once had had never abated.
One More Kiss: A Second Chance Romance (One More Series Book 1) by Roxy Sinclaire This is Julia and her husband Aaron’s Story.
This story addressed some really tough issues that real families have to deal with.
At first I had a hard time connecting with Julia and Aaron’s characters. In their defense I read a true story about a woman that was like Julia’s mother. When people are being affected by a person like Julia’s mother they don’t act or respond in a reasonable matter. It’s so hard for them to see what is actually happening. So, when I look at the characters actions I see them as a result of Julia’s mother’s actions.
When Julia and Aaron were together even though they had hurt each other you feel feel the passion and love they have for each other and their love for their child. Eventually, Julia and Aaron’s eyes are open to what is really happening and get a second chance at love.
FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Very good contemporary second chance romance. Julia left her husband and daughter after the death of her father so she could help her mother. What she didn't realize and it took a long time was that her mother was mentally ill. In order to control her daughter she would make Julia very ill. The author brought up Munchausen syndrome, which is a real mental illness. Slowly Julia came to the realization about her childhood and other issues. Once her mother was finally hospitalized she sought out her ex-husband and daughter. She stayed away because she didn't trust her mother not to hurt them so she carried the burden alone. I enjoyed the way the author weaved the main characters lives and the intense feelings of anger, loss, rejection etc. were accurately portrayed. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Sinclaire.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh my goodness...what a powerful story. For a family to go through so much . A Mothers love should be nurturing, caring, loving , forever in an ideal world but in Julia's world it is so different. Her mother is sly, controlling, nasty...oh I could go on. The lengths she goes to , to keep Julia around, even though she has a family of her own. Lots of plots make Julia and Aaron split up , sadly and keep Julia away from her daughter Amy. Julia's mother has a lot to answer for. The one good thing that shines on and fights to win in this family is LOVE. Never ending love from Aaron and Julia. When you first read you wonder what's going on and then when you realise....whoa what a shocker. It kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. Only one little thing .... if they received a certain phone call otherwise a fantastic read. Loved it.
***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** A good read. Julia left her husband, Aaron, and her daughter, Amy, to go take care of her mother after the death of her father. She was gone from the marriage for five years because when living with her mom, Margarete, she realized her mother had killed her father by poisoning him and that she was daily poisoning her and had been doing it since she was a child. Finally, a psychologist realized it also and finally had her hospitalized for her psychosis. While she was gone her husband divorced her, thinking it would make her come home. She wouldn't return when he divorced her because he had lied by omission that one of his students, Jenny, accused him of sleeping with her. And there had been a time when Jenny had been in their home alone with him and he never told Julia.
This is both a very good book and a great book. It's very good in that the characters, leads Aaron and Julia, their daughter Amy, Aaron's mom Theresa and even Julia's mom Margarete, are all extremely well crafted, multi-layered and interesting, and the plot device (ex-wife on a cruise with daughter and former husband and pretending to his mom that they never divorced) is the kind of story that is really enjoyable when done well, as this certainly is. None of that is what makes this story great. The thing that does that is the author's portrayal of "Munchausen Syndrom by Proxy", an actual mental illness that I had never heard of. Magarete has it and it's impact is ... well I'm not going to tell as I think it's best to find out as the book rolls on. Bottom line though is that this is all presented in a compelling way, and elevates this book to a higher level.
This book was a little hard for me to read. I contains some dark matter I had a hard time with. Julia is a woman who left her family behind. Aaron is her ex-husband. Aaron has their daughter wit him. Julia goes back to take a trip with them. This book contains manipulation, betrayal, deceit, sexy scenes, fear, understanding, and love. Will Julia and Aaron find the love they had for each other? Can they forgive all the pain they have been through to become a family again? Get this book and start reading their story. Roxy once again shows her talent for taking us outside the box in her plot. Her characters are two dimensional and intertwine with the plot to make us live vicariously. I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.
I enjoyed the latest from Roxy Sinclaire. When life forces this family apart it will take 5 years to bring them back together. Julia left her family when her mother forced her home, in order to protect her daughter she will do the unthinkable and stay away. Now 5 years later she is on a cruise with her, not everyone knows, ex-husband, her daughter and her mother-in-law. The chance to get a fresh start with the family she walked away from will mean coming clean about what really happened. Aaron asks his ex-wife to come on a family vacation as a way to keep the lie he told going and for her to spend some time with their daughter and give him a chance to see if there is still something there between them. This was a great second chance romance 5 star read by Roxy Sinclaire. Having never read this author before, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but once I started this book I couldn't put it down.
This is one of those books I normally avoid. The kind that will break your heart and make you cry. I am so glad that I didn't. This book touched on some very heart wrenching subjects. Roxy Sinclaire made this a beautiful second chance romance. I got sucked in and stayed up way to late reading.
If you are like me and usually avoid books with this much emotion DON'T MISS this book because of it. This book is so worth the ride!!!!
When she left her family 5 years ago, Julia never thought she would get the chance to return. Aaron has blaimed himself for years for his wife leaving. They have mutual enemies, but can love overcome the past? Will they be able to forgive and heal?
I didn't think this was a bad book, even if both characters drove me insane at times. I understood that Julia was blamed and abused while growing up and was proud when she finally said enough was enough. Aaron was far more forgiving then I thought he was, but I was happy when both admitted wrong doing while married. Loved their daughter. Good read!

Ohmigod...this book is incredible! While the storyline is beyond amazing, the book does bog down a little in a couple of places but didn't detract from the story at all. This is a tough book to wrap your head around. The emotional upheavals are brutal in places; however, it just makes our characters stronger. The path to the HEA is full of landmines, but the final steps are beautiful. I needed tissues for this one...you Really need to 1-Click this beautifully written book today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was totally held in suspense from page to page!) ❤️
This is book one in the One More Series and is a great second chance romance. Julia gave up her marriage to Aaron and her daughter when she left to take care of her sick and controlling mother. Aaron never told his family about the divorce so when it's time for a family vacation, he asks Julia if she will come alone and pretend they are still married. Lots of suppressed feelings, good and bad surface. Secrets, betrayal, and emotional turmoil. Lots of drama and suspense as Julia tries to regain a relationship with Amy, the daughter she abandoned and Aaron. I received an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.
What a beautiful second chance story. Julia has been away from her husband Aaron and daughter Amy for almost 5 years. She went to stay with her mother after they were having problems at home. Her mother is psychotic and she just now realized was poisoning her and just may have killed her father. When Aaron says he needs her help to play the charade of them still being married for a vacation with his mother, will she go along with it? The story pulls you in from the beginning and it truly is a beautiful love story of a family that lost their way but eventually can find a future as long as they depend upon each other. The story was written well and the characters were very likable.
Wow. Nothing much to write here. It is as always when it comes to Roxy Sinclaire, an amazing story. I like the story line and plot very much. It feels so realistic. An amazing read and it has great characters. They are strong and well developed. Aaron has learned that you do not know what you have before you have lost it. He still loves Julia who he gave an ultimatum years ago. Can he get her back? Get a second chance? I love second chance stories. This is not exception. It is worth the read. It is captivating and sweet. It has romance, chemistry, twists and secrets. Absolutely hot scenes and surprises.

This is a love story about second chances given to save their romance and Aaron and Julia are doing everything they can for their daughter. They still have feelings for each other, their sexlife is explosive, communication is not a problem, it’s Julia’s mother that’s the problem. The woman has set out to destroy her daughter and son in law and uses whatever method she can to do so. Leaving her daughter to feel guilty. Problems arise and Aaron has to convince Julia she not to blame, and she needs to come back to him and their daughter. It’s a fantastic. A great book, I recommend it. It is captivating. I couldn’t put it down.
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review. I loved it. I didn't know the story line so just went with it. This was quite an emotional second chance romance from Roxy Sinclair. While the sex was hot and the emotions felt real the chemistry just seemed to be a little lacking. Other than that this was a great read with a hell of a twist. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Aaron = 5/5 Heroine, Julia = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 1/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 2/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
Wow! Still have tears in my eyes as I finish this book. I've always wondered what becomes of children who survive abuse. This author has given one view of happily ever after the damage done. Julia and Aaron were amazing characters together, and obviously in love with each other. Amy and Theresa were icing on the cupcake! Charming story that flowed very well. Slow to start but hang in there this book is worth every second and will leave you wanting more. I received this as an arc and voluntarily am leaving my review
Julia and Aaron's marriage had been ripped apart by lies, manipulation, secrets and misunderstandings. Julia has a lot of insecurity, fear and guilt to overcome. It's a heart breaking story of meddling and control by outsiders. It's a well written story and kept me wondering, kept me interested enough to want to see this lovely couple overcome their pride and hurt and build a new future together. It's a great romance, beautifully done. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.
*** I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book*** A second chance romance with sone great twists and turns. I thought when I received this ARC it would be the typical second chance, misunderstanding causes the H/h to go separate ways and circumstances bring them back together. Boy, was I wrong! Aaron and Julia's story was surprising, fast paced, had a compelling storyline. The characters were interesting, even surprising, sympathetic and well written. This is a page turner from start to finish. What a great read! Roxy, you've done it again.
One More Kiss, by Roxy Sinclaire, is the first book in the One More Series. This story was a second chance romance with a flair of drama, suspense and full on chemistry. I have read a number of Roxy Sinclaire's books over the last year and she's one of my go-to authors that I enjoy reading. This story was not what I was expecting, but it was solidly good and I honestly enjoyed each and every chapter. At times, the main characters made me not care for them, but they redeemed themselves by the end of the story. A well written story with a nicely put together plot.
Aaron had the life he dreamed about. A wife he love, a beautiful daughter, and his family. He was a happy man or at least that was what he wanted to show his mother. Five years ago things changed for him, his wife left him. Now, five years later Julia calls him and he needs a favor. This was an interesting read that gave all kinds of goods. It gave all kinds of things that drew you in to the read. It also give a twist that was not seen coming. It just made the read that much better. Their second chance will not be easy.
Lies and secrets surround them and now instead of the truth they are doing it again. 5 years she was gone and there was so much more to it than he ever knew. I love that this is a second chance romance and not an inst love read. They have history and they have a story but she wants it to be honest. These two still have so much love and so much to work out. It's a well written story with characters who are real and that you can invest in.
This is my first story by this author and it was an amazing read. I will most definitely be reading more,
