One brush with darkness was enough. Another taste of him might kill me.
Some things are fun once.

Headline: I have voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC version of Arsen by Heather West.
This has got to be one of the most emotionally hectic books have ever read. And I was roped in to every moment of it. I loved it. Arsen and Maya's story was heartbreaking, uplifting and so damn sexy all at the same time. All I can say is that you should read this book. Be prepared to have feelings all over the emotional spectrum, but read this book. Happy reading!

This is a second chance romance. Arsen enlists his ex to help him find kidnapped girls. Maya is has moved on from Arsen and is engaged to another man. Her past makes a lot of things difficult for her, but Arsen understands her. And he always gives her what she needs. This story does have cheating in it.

Good story
It took me a while to get into this book, but once I did I enjoyed it.
There are twists, turns and surprises throughout story. Some you will see coming and others you won't.
This is a new author for me I will be looking into more of her books.

Loyalty, brotherhood, and Too many questions
Mistakes are made, too many questions are asked and this is when Alena’s characters become a little contrived. Would you sleep with someone involved in your sisters disappearnace.

Argh!
I really wanted to love Arsen and Maya's story. Unfortunately, I did not. Maya was just too broken, overwhelming broken. I did love Arsen though. The plot was O.K. The thriller/suspense aspect helped the story along. The sex was too drawn out. I am not vanilla, by no stretch, and I found myself after the first couple of times skimming through those parts. I did want to witness when they read the diary together. An epilogue would have gone along way. I felt exhausted and unfulfilled by the end. Also, there were several errors that were not caught.
