This is a very nice book, irrespective of which industry you work for. I work in the IT Industry and totally loved it. The author gives a vendor-agnostic framework for implementing IoT. Then he goes on to give multiple real life implementations of IoT in the context of that framework. Though it is an expensive book, I would highly recommend it.

I bought this book after Dr. Timoghy Chou gave a guest lecture at an IoT class in Stanford. The talk, by far, remains one of the most insightful ones I've been to, and of course it motivated me to see what he has to say in the book.

This book is a general introduction to IoT, and I'd say more so on the Industrial IoT (IIoT). So, it will definitely appeal to you regardless of how much background you have in the area. I'd say it's written for business men who have little background in the data science, connectivity, and hardware, but are interested to adopt this trend.

The book nicely breaks down different components of IoT systems. Dr. Chou shares his expertise with respect to how these components should interact in an IoT framework and who the major players are in the industry.

The second part of the book involves case studies in different industries.
An insightful read for sure. a great deal of times, however, it felt like the author is repeating himself and hence the 3-star rating.

It is a great book for professionals and students alike. The book describes clearly the needs of the various industries and it provides the full view of the challenges. Without knowing, after reading the book the brain is thinking of how how many opportunities there are and how to solve the problems. Great book, great read

Sách gồm 2 phần: phần đầu giải thích các lớp trong một IoT framework, phần hai là xem xét các giải pháp hiện có trên thế giới dưới góc nhìn một IoT framework. Bất cứ công ty hay startup nào muốn phát triển sản phẩm IoT cho riêng mình đều nên tham khảo mô hình này: Things, Connect, Collect, Learn và Do; tùy định hướng của bản thân mà quyết định: nếu phát triển hệ thống hoàn chỉnh thì cần phải có đủ 5 lớp, xác định công nghệ cần áp dụng cho mỗi lớp; nếu tập trung vào một số lớp thôi thì nên tham khảo phát triển công nghệ cho phù hợp.

Absolutely incredible book on IOT at an enterprise level. Well structured with hypothetical scenarios and many industry specific examples to show how IOT is changing the world.

Chapters 21/23/27 were perfectly relevant to my time at Boon, even succinctly describing how many of the architectures I deployed work. Great resource.
