About the author

Sam Taplin grew up in a beautiful valley in Yorkshire, where he dreamed of being a writer, and after three years reading other people's books at university he started writing his own. He's been doing it ever since. When he's not writing about lonely rabbits or inquisitive bears, he likes doing card tricks, writing songs and playing long games of chess by the fire.

I'm honestly not sure why these are classified as "bedtime" stories since they don't have anything to do with bedtime routines or going to bed. They are, however, very gentle stories that mostly have some thread of friendship in them and are short enough to hold a small child's attention span for a more ideal time period before bed. Five-minute story collections are a favorite of ours for bedtime routines as they seem to be just the right length to wind down and be ready to call it a night. Either way, this is a nice book to have in our collection, even if the title seems a little odd comparatively.

Приказки-подарък на Ясен. Аз им давам три звезди (две съдържание, една оформление), а от Ясен - четири :)

Какво не ми хареса? Заглавието и няколко изречения стоят горди, обградени от прекрасни илюстрации, които гледаме и обсъждаме, но когато обърна следващата страница - ужас! само текст и мъничка скрита картинка. Това при дете, дето не чете само, е много неприятно: аз чета, той си бърка в носа, рита ме игриво, става да пие вода и прочие други неща, вместо да си седи на задника и да се унася :)

Но повечето приказки имаха нежно вплетено послание, съдържаха вярно приятелство, малки приключения и добри родители.

The stories held my toddler’s attention, but he didn’t like the pages with no pictures. Simple, sweet stories though.

Honestly one of my very favourite childrens books. My 2 yr old stole it and went down for her nap talking about Dog from the first story. If I was only able to buy a handful of must have young kids books this would absolutely be one of them. Sweet, gentle stories.

Fun kids stories book. best for kids 3-7 years old. My kids favourite so far.
