I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book...
While I loved this story, there was a little bit of disappointment with Mercedes. The plot was interesting. The story-line flowed smoothly throughout. I even loved Jake despite his arrogant and womanizing ways. Mercedes was just too naive. How could she not know what she was getting into? She was too gullible for someone her age. She was also very rude to her parents considering the stress her mom and dad were under given the circumstances. She also almost ruined her HEA in the end. Good for Jake for standing up for what he wanted!

I could not believe how bad this book started out. Deciding to give it a chance I skipped to the second chapter. Mercedes, a grown woman, just finished her post graduate college without having a job. Even though her mother is working three jobs to pay for the mortgage, cars and her father's medical bills from cancer. Then she can't find employment so she takes a job as a package deliverer. Yet she's too dumb to figure out that it's an escort/hooker job?! Even though the slimy boss is asking her to start with him and what positions she likes?!!!! This is fiction but should be classified as fantasy. I'm not dumb enough to read past the fourth chapter.

This was a good book by all means. It just felt like the characters were battling with themselves at many points in the book.
It was hot and sexy and very dramatic in many points of the book.
Mercedes and Jake were a great couple and meshed well in certain parts of the book, but both were having so many issues within themselves. Mercedes had major family issues, but also the battle within herself. It was clear right off the bat that Jake had issues within him also. I would have liked to see Mercedes confront some of his issues. Well his whores that he once had.

I really hate this story, the lady didn't love this guy no matter what anybody says. She made Zero sacrifices for him and hurt his feelings every time.
I feel so bad for Luke's character he deserved a more empathetic lover.
She took a job of prostitution to save her dad from cancer but refused to accept money that didn't require her to sleep with him just so that she wouldn't seem like a charity case, how selfish. She put her pride over her dad's health and after all the noise she made too.
She even was unwilling to trust him when he was about to propose to her and was already planning on leaving him!!!!

Condoms! Condoms! Condoms! I’m sorry I have spoiled this book with my subject line. But it was the stupidest book I’ve ever read. How can a man that sleeps with hookers religiously because he has a sexual addiction not use a condom on the hookers or his love. I have better hope for the story and read to the end in that always helps. I was very disappointed

Is there such a thing as being too descriptive? To the point it no longer makes sense to the story? I think that would be my number one complaint about this story. The storyline lost its flow when things like, "The lakes were rising over the shore, ready to overflow.", entered the picture I'm trying to conjure in my head during a sexy scene. Then there's the climax, "The sea poured out, spewing sharp jolts of lightning through my entire body.". There was some mention of rain and other descriptors of water that I got a little confused wondering if there really was a thunderstorm going on or not. These thoughts pulled me out of the story and kind of became a mood killer trying to imagine and feel what the characters were feeling or going through. I kept trying to decipher between what was a metaphor and what the author was actually trying to capture as imagery. It became too much work. Now don't get me wrong, when the overly developed descriptions were spot on especially during those sexy scenes, they were amazing and reignited my need to finish reading the book.
What also held my attention to finish was the opposites attract, Pretty Woman movie-esque vibe that I was getting. These characters clearly needed each other for more than just a physical attraction and I'm glad we got both sides to their story with a dual POV.

After Mercedes got her degree she couldn't find a job anywhere so when her cousin told her about her job she applied. She thought she was delivering packages however with her first delivery she learned what she was really there to do. Jake struggle to have a real relationship due to something from his past so he decides to stick with escorts they know what he wants and then leaves afterwards. He never counted on meeting someone like Mercedes and started to have feelings for her. Mercedes was doing this to help out with expenses from her dad's chemo but thing quickly change between her and Jake and he becomes involved in her personal life too. Will Jake be able to commit to Mercedes? Does anyone discover what Mercedes "real" job is?
This was a great story and well written. The characters are amazing and the heat between them is scorching hot. I can't wait for the next book by this author.

Claire Adams has another winner on her hands. I loved this book and the characters. They were so good together. A strong storyline and captivating characters. Mercedes got her college degree and was desperate to find a job so she could help with her father's medical bills. Her cousin gets her a job as a courier or so she thinks. She soon finds out that it's an escort service when she is sent to Jakes home. He is a damaged soul due to some abuse when he was young. He finds it hard to relate to women other than paid sex. That's why he uses escort services. He realizes that Mercedes is different from the other girls and he soon finds out she is a virgin.. It's a beautiful story with no shortage of drama and it's great watching them heal each other as their love progresses. An HEA. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

Mercedes has graduated from school, has a degree and is having a hard time finding a job. After months of trying to find one and nobody willing to hire her she takes a job as a delivery person. What she doesn't know is she was hired to be an escort. When she delivers a package to Jake and he opens the door, sparks fly. The attraction between them is undeniable. Will they be able to help each other out when both have issues they need to deal with? Is there such a thing as love at first sight and soul mates? You're going to have to read the book to find out how their story ends. Enjoy.

Another amazing read by Claire Adams. I love her Billionaire love stories, but I believe this one has hit my top favorites list with a rush. Mercedes breaks my heart so many times in this book. I understand why she put herself into the situation she finds herself in, there's nothing more selfless than risking your own happiness to try to help someone else. When things get heavy between them and she bails out, I want to smack her...but the longer he takes to go after her, the harder I want to smack him too. This is definitely a must read and I'm recommending it to everyone. I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Mercedes was probably the most frustrating character I’ve ever read. Not only was she devastatingly naive, but nearly ruined her own happiness at the end. Yes, she’s selfless and sweet, but she also comes off has having low self-esteem. Instead of seeing things for what they are (after all, it was clear, almost from the beginning, that Jake was into her, but her being cautious is reasonable), she overanalyzes and runs away. Mercedes’ beautiful, but she constantly compared herself to others and she came off as really weak, withdrawn, distant even.
The flow of the story was great. Jake, a classic manwhore who fell head over heels, is one of my favorite alpha male characters. He likes substance and in spite of his massive wealth, he’s pretty simple. He prefers simplicity over the flashy, but uses it as a means to an end regarding his business. He’s also funny, playful, creative, and charming and perfectly meshes with Mercedes, in spite of my biases against her. I see what the author was going with her, but it was poorly executed.
The sex scenes were of course, hot and steamy, but it didn’t grab my attention. I felt like it was missing something. There was a good development in the relationship between Mercedes and Jake, but again, the woman almost literally threw away her own happiness for her ridiculous notions.

Hopes and failed
I really had hopes for this book, three times I fell asleep trying to read this freaking book. Mercedes who went to graduate school is dumb, yep ur said it and jake who I thought was gay at one point in the box is not addicted to sex or is he? It never got resolved. There was a seen about the rain outside, in my head I was like what rain? When did it come down, the same part they were outside but somehow they ended up back up stairs in the bed, should they be wet? Ijs but they crawled into bed. This book was so freaking wordy and stuff that was irrelevant. Samantha a coworker me was brought up but why?

So this took me a bit to get through especially the ending. To be honest I kinda skipped some of the two last chapters cause I was bored. I felt like the last couple of chapters, especially the ones after the big fight, we’re just fillers and made no sense. That’s to me anyway. I’ve read better by Claire and I felt a disconnect with the characters in this story.
I couldn’t figure out why Mercedes was so mean to her parents, even though her dad was super sick. And also, why she acted like she did with Jake. Just a bit confused. But I love Claire’s stories just this was there was a bit of a disconnect.

Wow. From escort to girlfriend to wife. Mercedes has No idea what she is getting into when she goes to meet Jake but he quickly shows her. This is a hot story that is filled with emotional pitfalls for both of the main characters. Really great read that I could not put down. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

After a traumatic incident when he was a teen, Jake struggles with getting close to people. Mercedes is determined to help her family any way she can. Instantly both know something is there, but neither are good at letting people close. Will Jake and Mercedes let their walls down?
A good read. There were times when I definitely wanted to smack both characters. I thought that even thought Jake was the way he was, he came off as somewhat more stable then Mercedes. I could understand Mercedes hesitant when it came to his past, but I thought at times she panicked to much.

Mercedes needs money to help with her fathers cancer treatments so her coursing tells her about a secret delivery company which happens to be an escort service. Jake is your typical playboy who is too busy for a relationship but one look at Mercedes and he knows he must have her. I really enjoyed this story, Jake never thought he would ever have a girlfriend because of what happened in his past, but Mercedes changed him. But is it too good to be true, will Mercedes realize that she & Jake belong together?

What a unique twist to the billionaire genre. Ms. Adams certainly has thrown us a new "bone to chew" with this fast paced, hot to trot tale of just how easy it is for a girl to find herself in a situation that's almost impossible to get out of, without even trying. And what about the "unrepairable" billionaire? Jake thinks he is unlovable, and has his own set of issues that haunt him from his youth. But it's amazing just how the right woman can heal all the hurts of an ailing man, and vice versa. A beautiful story of how love can heal, and money can help. Well worth the read!

Claire Adams delivers another Sweet but also sad read. The storyline is gripping; the characters well developed—to the point you want to scratch their eyes; emotions all over the map; and a HEA that feels right for Mercedes and Jake. My only ding with this book is the fact that it ran way too long in the middle, which rushed the ending. But it’s still a really good read, and you should grab a copy today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and enjoyed it.) ❤️

I thought this book was a good read! God intends to give us exactly what we want and need even when we are not ready! Jake needed a woman to balance him out. It wasn't a coincidence Mercedes was exactly where she neede to be. Jake recognized his angel when he seen her leaning against a building texting on her phone! What are the odds that he placed a call to his escort service and get the girl he had just seen?

An emotional and entertaining romance. The storyline is well thought out and the characters are developed and likable. The reader gets involved with these characters and wants to shake some sense into them at times. Excellent read and I enjoyed it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Couldn't engage with these two. Felt Mercedes was too naïve to get involved with Tony in the first place. Even though she needed the money she was too stupid to let herself be used like this. Jake acted like an arrogant user of women and it took far too long to get into the story to find out why. Also the steamy scenes were too difficult to follow. This was just not for me.

This was a book that vacillated between outrageous and exasperating for me. The main characters didn't seem to be right for each other except where they had scorching chemistry. I didn't enjoy this book as much as I was expecting to, and that was disappointing.

Great value
This book came with bonuses and the stories were all worth reading. There are quite a few editorial misses, but I enjoyed each story. The author's style of going back and forth between the characters works well. I liked all the character pairings and their inevitable happy endings.
This book came with bonuses and the stories were all worth reading. There are quite a few editorial misses, but I enjoyed each story. The author's style of going back and forth between the characters works well. I liked all the character pairings and their inevitable happy endings.

Definitely a different way to meet someone. There were a few places that things didn't flow. The intimacy scenes were awkward . I appreciated how the author introduced a form of abuse that seems to be glossed over when it involves boys. More people should be aware! There is no cheating, proofreading only had a few glitches and you get a happy ending.
