And We All Fall

Rate this book
United States Marine sniper, Jackson Mills, comes home for a week on furlough, and sets out on a four-day road trip with his teenage son, Jax. It was a chance for the father and son to bond again, for Jackson to teach Jax important life lessons that will serve him later in life, when he battles against all odds to fulfill his destiny. Simultaneously, as the father and son travel up the East coast, the government rushes behind the scenes to manage an unknown virus that is rapidly becoming a global threat to humanity, and existence as we know it. As the father and son have an action-packed, heart-wrenching journey, their destinies are changed forever once they encounter the apocalyptic illness. Government powers sacrifice nothing and no one to try and save civilization, while Jax must make an impossible decision for his own survival, in this first thrilling novel of an epic heroic trilogy.

From Readers’ Favorite:

The author has created a fresh twist on the normal zombie story. This is not just a blood and gore story. With strong characters on every level and a unique plot, this novel is a winner.

And We All Fall is a family story that engages you on a high emotional level. I was shocked, I cried and laughed as I read the constant twists and turns in this book. I literally couldn’t put it down.

As soon as I finished reading it, I wanted to get my hands on the next book in the series, but alas I have to wait.

I grew up in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, spending hours playing with Tinker Toys at the young age of four. I have loved to create things for as long as I can remember.

As I grew up, into my teens, I aspired to be a great storyteller and writer like my dad was, and I've been trying to get out of my own way with that ever since. Unfortunately, we lost my father in 2005. His mind and body was destroyed by Picks disease, a form of frontal lobe dementia. My new first book, And We All Fall, was fueled in large part by what happened to Michael P. Mahoney Sr., gone at the age of 54.

I have a never-ending compulsion to share meaningful stories that help my fans feel this beautiful tortuous path called life, and this book is just the first step. Look for part two and part three of the series on store shelves in 2018.

So Michael Mahoney has managed to do what so many others have not been able to...give us a fresh new spin on the apocalyptic tale! Thrilling, dramatic, action-packed, emotional and quite clever, And We All Fall took me on a hell of a ride. Jackson, Jamie, Jax, and even Jumper, are a strong and charismatic family thrust into those situations normally experienced in your worst nightmares. Jackson, the all-American hero, is a force to behold as he fights to protect his son while his wife is in the reverse role of protecting us all to fight a virus that turns man into something worse than monsters...

Mahoney's characters are deep and personable and you will root for them through each thrilling and surprising twist and turn! This book is a quick read in that it's damn hard to put down once you start!

Zombie? Not zombie..

This book was an interesting read. A new virus, hideous monsters, the CDC...all end of the world stuff.
What's more interesting is the love Jackson has for his wife Jamie, the adoration from his son Jaxon, and the love Jackson feel for his father Stan who is suffering from a debilitating disease for which there is no cure.
So we've got that CDC, the CIA & Fema all hunting for the cause of this new virus Jackson is newly home from Afghanistan. He and Jaxon have planned a trip to Maine.
Lots, if interesting characters & just a tremendous storyline. Will be waiting for the next book..good job...😄
