Trench Most people inherit money or property when their folks pass away. Sentimental trinkets full of fading memories or an insurance policy that dries up as quickly as the ink the policy was signed with. Not me. My Pops left a legacy of Pandemonium. I did not choose this life, but I’ll damn sure bleed for it. This motorcycle club, my brothers, are all I know, and no outsider, not even a “Preacher” with a diseased heart will be able to withstand my wrath if he tries to take what’s mine. Tori The American dream is a crock. I followed the rules, towed the line, and what did it get me? A one-way trip to Hell on a hog and a life of purgatory. Two loved ones murdered. Gone. Their executioners answer to a man I thought was dead. Trapped inside a world of violence I have been watching and waiting for the moment to break free of his reign of terror and expose the sins of the father, his adopted son, and anyone else who stands in my way. Forget Prince Charming on a white horse, only a King on chrome can save me now.
Welcome to my sweet pandemonium, where angels, athletes and bikers come alive. Not always together, of course, but a girl can DREAM!! Happy reading, lovelies! The sky is the limit.
Wish I could give this more then 5 stars. Michele Faison is now right up there with some of my other favorite MC authors like Kristen Ashley and Jessica Gadziala. I loved Trench and Tori’s story and I hope that Aimee gets her own book.
Re-read and enjoyed it just as much as first time around.
4.5 Stars First time author for me. I took a chance on this book after reading some of the reviews and didn't set my expectations too high. I was so pleasantly surprised to read a book that totally captured me and one that wouldn't let me close my Kindle until I finished it. I will certainly be reading the next book in this series. What I liked: Great character development. This author wrote an alpha-male character who jumped right out at me, talked in a way that was down to earth and wasn't your usual man-ho. The h, Tori, is a strong woman scarred by abuse from her own father. This author has a way of presenting characters who seem true to life and not stilted with mundane, everyday language and actions that you find in most of the MC books out there. The plot was believable and there was an element of suspense wondering if Tori would leave or stay. Would Trench let her go or want her to stay. No cheating and a HEA.
What brought my rating down to 4.5 stars This sounds contradictory but it's insta-lust and insta-love. Even though the actual sex didn't happen until over half way through the book, the whole situation happened in days. I kept thinking that all of this just couldn't happen in such a short period of time but the author made it work.
I highly recommend this book to my MC romance lovers friends out there. As I said I am impressed with this author's first MC romance story and hope the next in the series will be out soon.
once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down! Trench is my newest MC hero! I am hoping that this is the first of many more books! There has to be several more stories featuring other Pandemonium MC members. I could even see a book revealing the early years of this tough MC. Oh the possibilities...
This book was good, but not great. I had to pull myself back quite a few times from the urge to skim. I bought this book because there were all 5 star reviews, yes a few reviews, but all positive. I was disappointed. The story line was great, and the characters were well written, it was the LONG meanderings of explanations and thoughts between each conversations that caused my three star review. I cannot tell you how many times I had to re-read a conversation because there was so much infomation given between when each character would talk. A conversation that should take three pages, at most, to read were ten pages long. We learned why each character was saying those things instead of letting the story flow. I did not need that much explanation for simple conversations.
The story itself was great and the plot was good. It could gave been a shorter, or a more condensed story and been just as good or even better. I liked the characters and felt the romance between them. The ending was a bit lack luster from what was warranted and needed. There was a HFN ending, but it was set up like there were stories before and will be stories after. I thought this was part of a series, but it seems to be a standalone, single read. Will I read more? Maybe, at $0.99, not $2.99, and only if the the story answers the questions I was left with from this one. Over all it was good, but not what I wanted from the other reviews.
I went into Trench without knowing much, except that I liked the blurb, and that Michele Faison was a new author for me. So let me start off by saying how much I loved this book. I love a good MC read, but haven't come across a good one in awhile, that is until I read Trench. If you like your books dark, gritty, steamy & filled with delicious over the top alphas then look no further. Trench was a hard man, but when it came to Tori he'd move heaven and earth to help her. Lots of twists and turns, and enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. There's also a great cast of secondary characters that will have me eagerly waiting for what's next in the pandemonium series.
This is the first book I have read by this author. The character depth was phenomenal and the characters were more alive than any book I have read so far this year. This is the best book I have read this year. I love the emotions and play on words that are jumping ppd the pages that makes you feel as if you are the characters themselves. Wow! I hope that you continue to write for this storyline as I would love to see how the rest of these men fall.... thank you Miss Faison for sharing this will NOT be the only book from you I will invest in and I am putting you on NOTICE but telling you thst you have gained another trusted follower.
I really enjoyed this one & hope the next one comes out soon. There was one line of dialogue (Preacher said it) in the epilogue that raised my eyebrows. Now I'm wondering if there's a little secret that has been kept hidden from Tori for the last couple of years???
However, it could have been an editing error, but I don't think it was. I even reread the the section a few times, just to make sure I read it correctly.
Liked this MC story. Little grittier than my usual MC books but it has a good story. It does have some cruel memories mentioned and a couple of scenes of retribution that could be triggers for some. Having said that, there is a romance, an and HEA. I enjoyed this story.
My first read from this author and what a read it was. I love MC reads the grittier the better and this one definitely met that expectation. I will say a skimmed a couple pages here and there just because of unnecessary information overload. Other than that and a few proof reading misses it was a stellar read. I would definitely love to continue reading about this MC.
