Being a woman isn’t an obstacle to your leadership, it’s your asset!
I read and examined this book from a coaches' perspective. The book is a handy tool for coaches working with women leaders in ministry. It's organizational structure is ideal for either a semester or school-year length cohort model. The personal stories bring the underlying concepts to life and make it easier to engage in your own self-reflection. The things to consider contained at the end of the "teaching" chapters resonated with me because they aligned well with the process God led me through as the Holy Spirit guided me into living a surrendered life with intention and passion. It's amazing to me how two people from drastically different backgrounds, whose paths had never crossed could have such similar experiences as it relates to developing the leader within; though it shouldn't be because God is unchanging.
A fairly easy read on women in leadership. But it’s not just a book for women. Great principles for coaching other leaders. If you are mentoring or coaching others, some great tools can’t be found in this book.
