I loved Darko and Sloane so freaking much, and though Mark and Tessa haven't replaced them as my favorite members of The Underground--sorry not sorry--they're a great addition to the family and I love them *almost* as much.

Mark James🐺🔫🔪 is former soldier who was a security guard for Councilman Winters, protecting his twin daughters, Seventeen year old, Tessa and Sloane. Tessa always was an aggressive girl and she wanted the tall, handsome, dominant👋 Mark🐺🍆🌋 to take her virginity. He didn't want to, but he made her wait until she was eighteen. She felt they were soulmates and wanted him as soon as she set eyes on him.

I liked the book but felt the author tried to make Mark into kind of a wuss, a man afraid to stand up for what he believes.

This is the first book that I have read by the author and it is one heck of a read. Tessa and Sloane are the daughters of Councilman Winters. Tessa has always been an assertive girl and developed an attachment to Mark, a security guard, hired to protect her and her sister. When Mark leaves unexpectedly, Tessa tries to take her own life to deal with her feelings. Seven years pass and Tessa and her sister have disappeared into the world of BDSM. Their father, now the governor, brings Mark back in an attempt to find them. What will Mark do when he finds Tessa and realizes the truth as to why he was sent to find them? Can Tessa and Mark find the relationship that they both crave? I will caution those readers as this book contains graphic descriptions of BDSM and of the attempted suicide by Tessa.

Tessa Winters finally found the freedom to be herself when she became a Domme in the Underground. Mark James returned home from war with more than a few scars. They shared a past, but were ripped apart from each other. Will Tessa finally get the second chance at her first love? Will Mark be able to break free from his nightmares?
This was definitely a steamy read. This book had a mix of m-f, f-f, and m-f-m. I was honestly unsure if this was one that I would enjoy reading because I normally stay away from f-f, but I enjoyed it. Loved how Tessa was determined to live her life and break free from the chains society and family put around her. I was proud when Mark decided that she was worth fighting for. Great read!

This was the first book I've read by this author and I thought it was really good. Having not read book one did not pose a problem as I felt this was a standalone story. There was mention of things from book one but I understood them just fine. This was a well written and emotional second chance romance with some dark and BDSM themes. Tessa and Mark were relatable characters, flaws and all. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

I had mixed emotions about this story. First of all, I think things happened too fast with Mark and Tessa's reunion considering how they were ripped apart. I'm okay with a female dom and a male submissive - I just don't care for the F/F situation. It's not my cup of tea. The plot was interesting. The story-line flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were well-developed and easily relatable.

While not exactly my cup of tea, Take Me is an amazing read. Tamara Mataya spins a masterful story, with characters that grab your attention from the beginning. Plot twists abound, and the HEA is every bit as gritty as the journey. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and am still reeling from tale.)

This book was a great read. Although I usually read books where the male is the dom and the female is the sub, this role reversal was still enjoyable as there was a lot of playfulness around theirs individual roles. I also enjoyed the love story as well as the well written sex scenes. The fathers controlling nature added drama to the book, which added to the book too. Great book!

This is the second book in the "Submission Games" series, it tells Tessa & Mark's story. This book is very well written, the storyline is expertly crafted, and the character portrayal is beyond reproach. Amazing book!

Just as good of not better than Make Me. You can feel the heat between Tessa & Mark and are rooting for them from the beginning. There is an intensity that makes you wonder how they will work with a Somme & an alpha male!

Take Me took me. I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this book and was quite surprised at how much I did. Though the BDSM lifestyle is not for me, the story that Mataya tells, which involves it at so many different facets, is both dark and beautiful. I’m inspired to read Make Me because of this book. My only hang up is the cliffhanger. 3.5 stars. Warning: this book contains possible triggers. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
