Kiera had one goal, to find and rescue her best friend. But Abby wasn’t taken by regular men. She was kidnapped by monsters. Creatures of legend that Kiera’s FBI training couldn’t have prepared her for.

Captured by these supernatural beings, she’s handed over to a werewolf like some kind of chew toy, but she must put aside her pride as the threat to Abby’s life escalates. She has to protect her best friend at all costs.

I greatly enjoyed reading this book. I couldn't wait to read it since reading the first in the series and this one definitely didn't disappoint. Max is a character I fell in love with right from the start. He was deadly but could also be sweet and kind. I really liked how stubborn and strong willed Kiera was. The book had everything I look for in a great paranormal story. There was danger, suspicion, lust, and a happy ever after.

This is the 1st book I’ve read and reviewed for Adrianne Kane and I loved it. There’s not really much I can say with spoilers because Adrianne has pretty much told you what the story’s about in her blurb. There’s action, danger, betrayal and plenty of heat, there’s also vampires and werewolves. Fantastic read and I recommend you get this book if you don’t then you will be missing out on a great read. This book is a standalone with a HEA.

Kiera is one of those "in your face" heroines that I love reading! She's loyal, an extremely devoted friend, stubborn, a kickass fighter and her snarky attitude is so divine! Kiera and Max make an awesome team. Excellent read! I did read and am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book from Booksprout.

4.5
I’m so glad I read this book. After reading the first I was left confused and a bit off about Julian and Abby but my major issues and concerns were cleared up. I feel much better and more positive overall. That being said Kiera and Max are perfect. The obvious chemistry and heat balanced with gentleness and caring is just right. He wasn’t overly aggressive even though she’s a bossy brute. She didn’t have to lose her strength to submit. Overall an exciting story with suspense, mystery, love and great characters. The book is a quick read but it doesn’t need more. Well written. I’d definitely recommend.
