Their first subject was to write about something they didn’t like. J. A. chose to write about why he didn’t like writing. His reasoning was simple. He had bad handwriting. Even then, he was destined to be an engineer due to his messy scrawl.
Unfortunately, he found through the course of this little adventure that he actually liked writing. That year was sort of the high point for his writing career because he won a writing contest for the state. He got to go to a big dinner and his teacher was all dressed up.
He kept writing little stories, year after year, and in sixth grade, won another contest. In seventh grade, he broke his arm and got the cast signed by both Dean Koontz and Stan Lee. It is, by far, the coolest cast he’s owned. That was about the time he found video games and anime. His writing turned mostly toward fanfiction until about ninth grade when he wrote his first novel, a small book about twenty thousand words called Revelations. In sophomore year, he wrote two more books to complete the trilogy because he saw Star Wars that year and learned trilogies were the cool thing to do.
He rewrote Revelations during his senior year, and his wife swears it is the best thing he’s written. J.A. is not so sure. Every time he reads it, he cringes, but then again, he hates everything he writes, so there is that.
It was about that time, he got heavily involved in a fanfiction writing group, but that isn’t one hundred percent accurate. It was a world based on a popular anime but everything was created especially for this world. It made it so that every story someone wrote was unique.
Imagine writing a Star Wars novel set 1,000 years after A New Hope, where everything that happened was a distant memory and you get the idea. You have the force, some distant memories of the past, and that’s pretty much it.
He wrote about a million words (863K to be exact) for them before he decided to do his own thing. He wrote another novel. He put it in a drawer. He wrote another one that eventually became the basis for The Hatter is Mad. His next novel was Kill It With Magic, his first real novel. It’s not bad, but it’s bumpy. This is unfortunate because the books get loads better as the series progresses.
Since then, he’s written six more novels, four of which are in the Lillim Callina Series, and one in the Abby Banks series. The other is stuck in a drawer for time undetermined. He’s writing his next book now which is about werewolves fighting mummies in Ancient Egypt. After that, he will move onto Abby Banks 2. The Spy Within will come out in June or July.
J.A. also has three chinchillas. Two of them are grey, and because of this, they are named Slate and Cadmium. The third is named Jet because he’s black, and Jet is old English for black. See, creative. He also has a cat named Turtle. This does pose problems for his two-year-old from time to time.

the first book had a bit of an interesting concept of a normal guy with the ability to upgrade others. That was interesting enough to overcome major flaws...
now it's purely the author's fantasy wish fulfillment. it gets two stars simply because it seems to have been edited well enough to not be painful to read.

This is the third book in the Legendary Builder series and readers are in for a surprise. Arthur has awakened Lucifer and she has given him a choice but not a good one. Also, he needs to fix his sword, and he must go on a quest to find the best person to fix it. But, Dred is conquering Heaven at a pace that is unexpected, and Arthur’s compatriots may be next on his list. One of the things about this series that keeps me coming back is just how much fun it is. I have to admit that while I’m not a big fan of LitRPG novels, and while this isn’t quite one, it does have a few things that are similar, but the plot is just so much fun, I can’t help but read it. Mr. Cipriano is an excellent writer, especially in details, and I love his novels. Sure, there were a couple of places I had to roll my eyes, but I can overlook those places. Yes, as I’ve stated, the books are fun! If you’ve read the others, you will love this latest addition as I think it’s the best one yet. Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

In this third installment of The Legendary Builder we find Arthur still fiddling around to get his sword fixed. To be fair it’s not all Arthur’s fault. There are a lot of pieces, figuratively and literally, to put together to get that legendary blade fixed. In the meantime Arthur is spending a lot of time with Lucifer; some enjoyable, some not so much. He’s gotten a lot of training in with Lucifer and Mammon. Arthur is buffing up with muscles, skills and magic. He will definitely need that and more when it comes time to meet Dread. Speaking of Dread, he is busy destroying Heaven. If and when he gets done with that, look out Hell. This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

The premise is starting to wear thin. Part of that is probably because it's moving away from the original premise; Arthur has gone from a normal, physically unimpressive to human to accurately describing himself as a demigod. And that's not the Simcity/MMORPG-ish theme that made the first book a guilty pleasure. It does pick up towards the end, but the fact that he apparently had to be changed that way does raise the question of why include those other elements to begin with. Still, it picks up towards the end and manages to finish on an entertaining enough note that I expect I'll read the next one.
Also, there really should be more mention of the protagonist's penis.

Arthur is back and trying to save his friends yet somehow ends up running around with more bad gals or is it good gals. SO hard to tell sometimes as the story begins. Especially as Arthur seems to be the only one that can save them all. I liked the random little twists and could not wait to see what would show up this time and how it would end. Although sometimes I did want to slap Arthur. But the overall story progressed and kept me reading as the battles were fun to read. And had to see what trouble Arthur would stumble into this time as he tries to be the hero. I enjoyed the story. Arthur for all his faults is entertaining.

In this, my twelfth read from author J.A. Cipriano, it all comes together! Outstanding & enjoyable read, especially for fans of FRP and so much more. The book continues seamlessly from book 2. So good I can't wait to delve into the next book in the series. Narrator Gary Furlong again lends his incredible talents to the reading of this book, his varied voice inflections add greatly to the enjoyment of the book

The Builder's Pride is the awesome third book in the series which combines fantasy and elements of game lit. The story which centers around a war that unites heaven and hell against a common enemy is full of action, twists, and interesting characters including amazing demon and angel women. The ending leaves the reader impatient for the next book. The narrator of the audiobook is very good.

I thought or more hoped the books would get better as time went on. I was horriblely wrong. The MC is yet another dumb ass in a long line of dumb ass MCs. He spends most of his time questioning ( why this or that ) entities that having been living many millennia more than him. It's like really dude, why are you questioning CONSTANTLY someone like that.

An excellent addition to The Legendary Builder Series. There is action, kickass characters, steam, romance. JA Cipriano has done it again with his wonderfully entertaining stories. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Good Read.

I'm completely hooked on this series. The action is fun, bawdy, and frightening all at the same time. A very good book in a very god series. Looking forward to the next volume!

Who would expect Lucifer to be a standout character?
The quest to restore his blade, and the lack of it limiting the litRPG aspects of the book, both made for good story.
The number of characters to keep track of and their interactions and relationships is starting to get a little unwieldy, resulting in some characters not getting enough coverage.
