I fell out of my boat and into his arms...

When my kayak capsized, I thought I was done for.
Then from nowhere a strong hand reached down and dragged me out of the water.
Now I'm alone on an island with a rugged alpha and my body is melting with desire as he stares hungrily at me.
I want to stay innocent.
I want to resist him.
I want to say no.
Because if I give in, I know what will happen.
I won't be innocent anymore.
I'll be wrecked.

I read this one the other day and quite enjoyed it. This was another super short and sexy little read by this author. Well written and paced with a nice little plot and likable characters. All wrapped up in a sweet three years later epilogue. Two thumbs up from yours truly.

I read this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Joy decides to take her first kayaking trip to a nearby island. Things seem great until she hits a few waves and unfamiliar territory. A man not far off tries to wave her away from danger but instead sees her fall out of the kayak and hurt herself.
Rich jumps in and swims to save her unconscious body. He revives her and takes her into the lighthouse. These two have an instant attraction. This is an insta love and was super steamy. After their first meeting they fall out of contact and this leaves Joy wondering if he felt the connection. She feels terrible and misses him already. These two meet again by chance and once again get very sexy!!! Loved this short story!! Sexy, sweet and great conclusion. As always Lucy Wild did not disappoint!! ❤

“Do it”!

Witty, charming and completely engrossing “Wrecked” is packed full of insta-lust/love, a hot environmentalist and a totally adorkable, completely identifiable heroine! Lucy Wild’s dirty little mind nailed this story and Rich totally nailed Joy… ahem… I mean he saved her from certain death. What did Joy do to repay him? “It was HUGE and it tasted wonderful” and I’m not talking about dinner! Extremely fast paced and professionally written “Wrecked” doesn’t take a lifetime commitment (confession: I have novel length commitment issues) to read but delivers salacious (seriously… salacious? It was hot!) satisfaction when time is at a premium.

Do yourself a favor take a walk on the Lucy Wild (dirty girl) side… you’ll be so glad you did!
Disclaimer: No Kindles were seriously harmed while reading this novel. Children 18 and over only!

Disclaimer for the Disclaimer… The term “seriously harmed” is not intended to include: overheating, scorch marks, minor melting or inconsequential fire that can be put out with an extinguisher. Fire retardant gloves highly recommended while reading. Reviewer is not responsible for run-on sentences and misplaced commas.

*** I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review but great authors are hard (nope, not going there) to find so I bought my very own copy! ***

A well-written short read, but quite an engaging story nevertheless. Joy and Rich meet in unusual circumstances and it is love at first sight. Fate has brought them together, so even though there are doubts, these are unfounded.

It was Joy’s first time kayaking along the seashore at Amble; the perfect day for her first attempt. The plan was to follow the shoreline between the mainland and Coquet Island; she had long wanted this to be her first destination when she felt brave enough to head out to sea. With a new job, this would be her last chance for a while. The lighthouse looked amazing with the sun behind it and Joy wondered if anyone still lived there; there was a romance about the place and she felt sad that it might be left empty and unloved. So it is just Joy and the water, but she never saw the wave coming. Rich didn’t like to think what might have happened if he hadn’t gone for a swim; if he hadn’t needed to be on Coquet that morning. But he was there and had seen her go under. Did she know about the current, or how beautiful she looked? Something stirred inside Rich, something he hadn’t felt in a long time. Joy was getting too close to the sandbar; he had tried to warn her, but then her kayak just tipped, with the strap of her helmet catching on the rock. It wasn’t easy getting Joy to the shore and he was sure she was dead. Joy wakes up to a man kissing her, but she thinks he is attacking her and pushes him away. Rich likes the way Joy looks at him; both scared and hungry at the same time, so once their wet clothes are off, Rich didn’t hesitate. Rich didn’t know her name, but one look at her and he was lost. Joy didn’t know Rich’s name but somehow she felt like she knew him, had always known him; there was a connection between them, but Joy needs time to mull over Rich’s words. Rich gives Joy his telephone number but every time she rings him, there is no answer and she begins to think he is ghosting her and she is surprised by how hurt she feels. Joy didn’t want to have feelings for him, didn’t want complication in her life; she wasn’t looking for love but it seems to have found her anyway. Joy didn’t know that Rich had left his telephone at the Lighthouse, or that he wondered why she didn’t admit to being as excited as he was. Rich has no intention of giving up on love, not when Joy had made him feel things he had never felt before. It is when Rich runs his eye down the list of new starters that he smiles for the first time that day. They were meant to be together after all; he isn’t a big believer in Fate, but the fact that her name is there tells him everything he needs to know. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Imagine my delight when I read that this was set in the area that I was born, Northumberland, and the details are so accurate - simply a beautiful place to visit! Joy is out kayaking for the last time before her new job starts as she knows that she won't have the time once she begins work. Unbeknown to her Rich is swimming by the lighthouse in the Coquet area when he sees that she is going to get into trouble when a sudden wave breaks over her and she goes under. He rushes to her aid and struggles to get her safely on land, scared that she might be dead. She wakes up to him apparently kissing her and she shoves him away. But there is an instant attraction between them that they're neither strong enough to ignore. After their passionate interlude he leaves having given her his mobile phone number - but then he leaves it by mistake at the lighthouse!! When there is no answer every time she calls him she thinks he was trying to brush her off and that he didn't feel what she thought they both shared together. But Fate has a play in everything and the next time she sees him it is at her new job where he is her boss. This is a passionate, quick read set in beautiful scenery. I like Lucy Wild's style of writing and her interesting storylines. It was a real page turner that drew me into the story so that I read it all in one go. I enjoyed it so much that I'm looking for more of her books to read. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** A great novella of love at first sight. Joy had always sailed her kayak in small lakes. This day she decided to try the ocean. She was headed toward the lighthouse when she was taken under and hit her head trapped on the rocks by her helmet strap. Rich was working at the lighthouse to get the light fixed. He had seen her go under and hoped he could reach her before she drowned. As he gave her CPR she came to and spit salt water into his face pushing him away and passed out again. He carried her to the lighthouse and helped her out of her wetsuit and he stripped out of his wet clothing after starting a fire in the fireplace. They warmed each other intimately. He took her home repeatedly telling her he wanted to be with her again she wouldn't tell him the same. So he gave her his number hoping she would call him. She called several times, but his phone had been left at the lighthouse. She had wanted to ask for a left to her new job, he had seen her name on the list of new hires for his company. The beginning of their life together.

I voluntarily reviewed a ARC of this book.

Joy has just scored her dream job and decides to indulge her love of Kayaking alone, not used to the ocean it’s not long before she gets caught in the tide. Unfortunately it’s too late and she tips over getting knocked out by some rocks. Rich has been called out to an issue at the lighthouse and is standing on the shore when he sees Joy go under, he immediately swims out to the rescue. Once back on shore the chemistry between them cannot be ignored and leads to a steamy interlude. Neither were expecting the feelings that they were experiencing but they both know that what they have is special. Joy is hesitant to voice her feelings but Rich isn’t letting her get away that easily and give her his number not realising that he has left his phone back at the lighthouse. Fate intervenes when it turns out that Rich is her new boss. Will Joy allow herself to voice her feelings and see the light.

Great quick read that was ultra hot too. This ticked all the boxes for a great story with two cute characters with a perfect ending. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

The Light💘 of His Life

ARC received for an honest review of this short and sweet🍦 novella.
Joy💋 is a novice kayaker🚣, used to ponds and slow rivers. She goes to the ocean one day, where there is a lighthouse on an island offshore about a mile. When she gets in the water and halfway there, she realizes, she has a problem, a rip ride has her Kayak, and she's getting close to some rocks just under the water. A wave over the shallows flips her and she hits her head on some rocks under the water. She had her helmet on, but the strap got snagged on the rugged rocks.
Luckily, Rich🐺🍌🌋 was at the lighthouse doing some repairs, and he was watching her the whole time. He quickly dives in the water and saves her.
Joy💋 and Rich🐺🍌🌋 are soaked and cold. Rich🐺🍌🌋 gets her inside and starts a 🔥fire in the fireplace, but he has to strip off their wet clothes. A spark passes between them and they are soon making 💘love by the 🔥fire.
Rich🐺🍌🌋 knows he must see her again but he doesn't even know her name! Joy💋 feels the same way!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nothing like a near drowning and rescue to get the juices flowing that’s the case with Joy and Rich. Joy was kayaking when a rogue wave swamped her kayak and capsized her, luckily Rich was out servicing the local lighthouse and was able to get to her or things might have ended very badly for Joy.

As they are both warming up from the chilly dunking in front of the woodstove they build their own instant fire with each other. Both felt something with each other but nagging doubts of a connection caused them both to proceed with caution. As life would have it reconnecting was a bit difficult and when they finally met up it was to find out that Rich is her new boss. While awkward at first they were able to work out the kinks and confirmed that both shared the feeling of being connected.

This was a very quick read both had their share of insecurities and the same crazy need to leap into the flames without a second thought.

Looking for a steamy, quick read then this is one for you. Joy is looking to have one last hurrah before she immerses herself into her career as a conservation trust administrative assistant. On a seemingly perfect day, she sets out in her kayak for the first time on the ocean. Not realizing that things are not always as they seem, she winds up flipping her kayak and injuring herself in the process. Fortunately for her, Rich was out by the lighthouse planning to take a swim and rescues her. There is definite chemistry between the characters but due to some unforeseen circumstances, will they be able to connect? This is a well written story that I did not want to end. I am looking forward to reading the next book from this author.
I volunteered to read an arc for a review.

I received this book willingly from the author.

I enjoyed reading about Joy and Rich.

Joy decides she's going out for a leisurely kayak one Saturday morning. She figures this may be her last chance for a while because she's starting a new job on Monday. However, tragedy strikes and Joy finds herself being carried soaking wet by some man she doesn't know and then she passes out again.

Rich happens to see Joy kayaking on the way to have a swim one morning. He knows its a dangerous tide and location where she's heading and he tries to get her attention. No response from Joy, he figures she already knows. The next thing Rich knows, he's watching Joy's kayak flip. Surely she will right herself again soon, right???

This is a great read with an HEA. Loved reading this book!

Another great quickie by Lucy Wild. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. Rich had gone to the island to fix the lighthouse lamp and noticed a woman in a kayak tip over. When she did not come back up he jumped in to save her. Joy had gone out to explore the island in preparation for a new job, unsure when she would find the time after starting. They instantly fall in love despite Joy's hesitance. Rich gives her his number but forgets his phone on the island, thinking they may never see each other again. But to Joy's surprise Rich is her new boss. When everything is explained faith +love takes it from there. Loved this quickie and look forward to many more.

4.5 star fun and hot read.....

Another great instalust quickie from this author...this time the heroine Joy get’s into all sorts of trouble when she goes out canoeing alone .... rescue comes in the shape of Rich but neither can anticipate the sparks that fly’ the unwelcome feelings they experience or what will happen once they leave the paradise they have been living in...

I loved the premise of the story and the characters so believable and the interactions between the two main characters are a great mixture of tension, sexual chemistry and humour..

This was a fun and hot short romance which kept me entertained throughout..I was given an ARC of this novella by the author.

I am enjoying these quick, sexy reads from Lucy Wild. Wrecked is certainly insta lust and love and has just a tiny bit of angst to keep the story moving. The characters are likable and the story is easily read in an hour or less, making it perfect for a quick bedtime read. I particularly like that the story doesn't just end with the usual proclamation of undying love and nothing else, but Wild gives us a peek into the not so distant future to see where the couple is going. This pair is scorching hot together and while this isn't my favorite book from this author, it is still a fun, sexy read and I look forward to the next one.

4.5 stars

I enjoy this author's little quickies. This book surpassed the last (My Mountain Man and Me/Jacked). There are some hot scenes but the story itself was enjoyable. I totally loved that the author gives a time skip epilogue that was a great conclusion to the story.

The only drawback to making this a perfect lunchtime read is the sex after incident. I just can't seem to fathom vigorous sex right after a possible concussion/drowning or hypothermia (My Mountain Man and Me/Jacked). Thus the 4-4.5 star ratings.

I received a copy from the author and I voluntarily reviewed (and purchased) this book.

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

This was a short novella with sweetness and hot scenes. The storyline is good but not the best. It’s fiction so everything is allowed.

The writing style is easy with lots of dialogues and there is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so this was a easy read.

I find that in these short stories it’s difficult to get to know the characters so it’s not giving me the wow feeling. But there is some feelings coming through and the love scenes are hot and also sweet.

If you like som hot, sweet entertainment I recommend this for a rainy afternoon.

3.5 Stars.
This book is short, fast paced and sweet. I liked the heroine and heroine. They were cute together.
I liked Rich & Joy as a couple. I saw some chemistry between them but I would’ve liked it to be a little stronger. I thought Rich and Joy were cute together. I liked that Rich saved Joy’s life. I liked that further on, they didn’t let the fact that he was her new boss, stop their romance.
The epilogues for this book were really cute. I liked that Rich and Joy saved the place that they met. They even went as far as taking their daughter there and sharing it with her.
The storyline for this book was easy to follow and a nice read.

A great quick read by Lucy Wild! "Wrecked" is a short story that will give you everything you need. Joy and Rich's story will leave you wanting more. They become a magnet for one another with passion and a connection so deep, that no matter what, no matter where they go, they will find each other.

I love how Ms. Wild gives us these short stories in between her next novel. Absolutely perfect.

Short and spicy this quick little read is another spin on lust-at-first sight that becomes love in an awful hurry. Rich and joy have undeniable chemistry together. Heck, it was pulling them together even when she was out to sea. It seems that fate was looking out for this pair. He's there for her when she needs him most. And even when she believes that all hope is lost, fate hasn't abandoned her. I loved the epilogue with a peak into the future.

A short steamy read about insta love between Rich & Joy. Rich saves Joy from drowning and they have to somehow keep warm after the rescue. The chemistry, sparks, lust are there and it all ends too soon when they have to go back to the mainland. Can they keep it up ?
I do enjoy these short steamy reads by Lucy Wild, there's steam, insta love, no drama, a perfect read to get into during a lunch break or before bed that will leave a smile on your face and waiting for the next one.

She shows him how grateful she is and when he leaves he gives her his phone #. He doesn't get her calls because he left his phone at the lighthouse so she thinks he's not interested. What a surprise when she begins her new job and finds out he's her boss. Sexy short story with cute characters and a fun storyline.

This is a short quick insta everything. There was only one part in the story with Joy that drove me crazy. She went from love to hate to being back in love with Rich in a span of 10 seconds and she's only know him for like a hot minute. It was over him not contacting her right away. The reason was sound but she had a hissy fit. Simmer down, Joy! Besides that part, it was a pretty good short story.

This was a great, quick, hot read! I love these shorter novellas from Lucy Wild. You get the core of the relationship, a basic background, insta-love and the quick development of the love story. The sex was hot, Rich and Joy were fun, good characters, and it was a total fun read. Sometimes, that's exactly what I want. Not the angst or villain or serious undertones. Just a feel-good, sexy hot book to make me smile. This did that perfectly.

Insta-love is instant gratification for me! Rich and Joy are characters that will make you smile and fall in love with...especially the mysterious edginess that surrounds Rich! Joy is full of wit and maybe too much self-confidence and needs to be rescued by Rich.."sigh" and together they learn each's foibles and discover emotional and physical intimacies that make this story sooooo good! I enjoyed the quick read from Lucy Wild. When Joy decides to go kayaking she didn't expect to feel so unprepared and yet when she gets in trouble it will be Rich who comes to her rescue. Wrecked, by Lucy Wild, was a hot and wet read. I found this story addicting and I read it cover to cover within hours. I loved the characters, the story, the fallout between the hero/heroine and everything else. It was beautifully written and it definitely wasn't enough. I need at least 50 more chapters. In all seriousness, Lucy Wild is one of my guilty, late-at-night pleasure reads. I always enjoy the stories she writes and Wrecked was no different.
