Maybe the worst book I’ve ever read. If a YouTube commercial lasted 5 hours, this is what it would be like. No real information, and constant plugs to sign up with the author’s programs. Don’t waste your time on this dumpster fire of a book.

Fantastic blueprint to get back to the basics, focus on the important and best of all, do what you do best and write a cheque for the rest.
I could have done without the love story and if you listen to the audiobook the narrarator does the female accent too. Pretty weird.

I did not like it

My reason it's a story. I don't want a story I want a breakdown and how to. I don't mind learning, but hate stories. Break it down and show me step by step.

This book is completely unrealistic in so many ways. They glorify divorce and separation of families, even going so far as to make it appear that the kids are happy later on when talking to their dad on the phone as he's about to remarry. I'm sorry, this just does not resonate with people who care more about life and financial freedom. This book celebrates career success over family even if they try to say otherwise.

It's also not helpful in becoming a loan officer, it's just a hyped success/ romance story designed to trigger your emotions so you buy their products.

In addition, I researched the author, Scott Hudspeth and he hasn't originated loans in 20+ years. He's out of touch, this is clearly a sales marketing strategy to get you to purchase what they are selling.

Look up their company (Fresh Success Marketing) and similar ones on Reddit, YouTube and other reputable sources like Glassdoor. People warn of MLM tactics and aggressive sales tactics that are more harmful than helpful. It's clear: they want YOUR money, they don't care about you or your family or your enjoyment of life unless it makes them a dime.

Great book for the life of an mortgage loan originator

This was a great book to read
It follows the lives of two loan originators and their highs and lows throughout the industry
The story is historical fiction, based off of the lives of two real people with names and some events changed
The story only spans a couple of years of their lives but it is a great story to get the feel of the life and mind of an mlo
So, rather you are a seasoned mlo and want confirmation on some struggles you are feeling or brand new to the industry and want to understand better the day to day grind, this book will be a great addition for you

Scott may have written this for a loan officers. But most of the things in the book apply to anybody in the service industry or sales industry that want to succeed. I’m really sad that the book is listed as millionaire loan officers because I think so many people could benefit from this book.I also like that he wrote it as a story rather than a lecture.

Great book

All though the book was published a few years ago, some of the tips are still valid today. I throughly enjoyed it not being all strategy. It’s full of practical tips that can be immediately implemented!

This book sucks something fierce. It’s a bad mortgage loan officer text book woven around maybe the most god awful and tame romance novel ever written. It’s capped off with dated and derivative inspirational quotes that leave me more queasy than motivated. Don’t waste your time.

Great Read For Any Professional

As a CPA, Realtor and soon-to-be mortgage loan originator, this book can apply to all three with great ideas and insights. It is a must read for anyone wanting to improve themselves in any profession.

quick easy read

I liked that it was anecdotal. It was very easy to read and extract the information. Nothing ground breaking about it.
