Ellie is stuck in a job she hates and still dependent on her stepfather financially. While attending a yacht party, a surprise auction is introduced where the women have the choice to auction themselves off. Inspired by the money she expects to receive she enters and goes for a whopping $250,000. Her mystery buyer turns out to be Aiden Black, rich and successful owner of Owl, Amazon’s main competitor.
I found myself skimming a lot. The writing is repetitive and sloppy. There’s an awful lot of explanation about Aiden’s business that felt unnecessary and slowed the plot down.
Ellie is really hard to like. Her internal monologue is loaded with “How dare he”s and “who do they think they are” type of reflections that gives her a holier than thou air that’s hard to get past. Even when it’s warranted, it’s so constant that her character surpasses the label of ‘strong woman’ and becomes ‘is there anything this woman likes kinda woman’. Aiden is weaker than I’d like, but he’s also really unreliable as a character. One chapter he’s musing to himself that there are millions of hotter women in the city he could get with so why waste his time on Ellie. Shortly after he’s telling her she’s the most beautiful woman in the world and oh how he wishes she would believe him. It was as genuine as Donald Trump’s tan: I just wasn’t buying it.
Here’s my biggest problem with the story. In book 2, the opening scene is of Aiden knowingly going on a date with another woman, Kristina, he regularly sleeps with after meeting and sleeping with the heroine and telling her he wanted to see her again. He and Kristina go back to his place with the full intention of having sex. And he is EAGER (as in solid as a rock, if you get my drift) to make it happen. Just because he gets a moment of consciousness after initiating sex with another woman and he feels guilty for almost sleeping around on Ellie doesn't make it cool. He went to the friggen opera, which he openly loathes, just to make this other woman happy so he could sleep with her. Yes, this crap happens in real life, but this is a romance purposely billed as having no cheating and it's misleading. Romance authors don't write hideously ugly heroes because they're undesirable. Well, so are (almost) cheaters.
No, there's no technical cheating, but it's awfully close.
The book falls under too many clichés to stand out amongst thousands of other books that do the same thing, only better.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I wasn't sure what to expect as this was not an author I had read before and not a fan of cliffhangers, These books ended happy but can you can continue Mr Aiden Black and Allies each story. I liked having three of their stories in one book. I very much enjoyed the story between Ellie and Aidan - though how they "met" and their first "date" (so-to-speak) was completely unconventional, some sparks during their first night and the three stories just continue their relationship how it grows and changes, and you keep reading because you want them to find their happily ever after with each other and as life just leaves you twists and suspence. I read this very quickly and am looking forward to reading #4 and #5.

Auctioned to him. 1-3
Caroline gets an invitation to attend this exclusive party. She insist that her best friend Ellie go with her. Ellie really didn't want to go but Caroline kept pushing it so Ellie goes with her to the party.
They get flown to the yacht where they notice lots of people mulling
around. When they finally get upstairs for the cocktail party they meet
some interesting people. Finally when things calm down Lizbeth
tells the women some will stay and some will leave. She proceeds to tell the women about the auction and gave them the option of leaving or stay and sign the contract. Caroline decides she wasn't going to stay but was surprised that Ellie was going to stay.
The women were told that whatever the bid is that they will receive the
amount but, the catch was that they would have to spend the night with their bidder doing exactly what they want. When Ellie steps on the stage the bidding heats up fast. The two men she met earlier are bidding on her plus an anonymous bidder who is going through
a proxy. The final bid was placed at 250,000.00 but Ellie looked around and she couldn't find him. When she is approached by the Lizbeth and tells her that Mr.Black was her highest bidder.
Mr Black was the man whose yacht they were on for the party/auction. She is taken to a room where she is undressed and given a shear robe. Lizbeth tells her to get on the bed then shackles her to it..
Ellie's back in New York and she still hasn't heard from Mr. Black. Meanwhile Mr. Black is back in town when he meets his friend who is the most prominent dominatrix. They play sometimes together and she submits to him when they play. He goes to his house with her but when it gets time to play all he can think about is Ellie.
Mr. Black finally calls Ellie and ask if she would spend a week with him so she tells him since he paid at the Auction 250,000.00 for the night she wanted 500,000.00 for the week. But, she would really do it for free but he told her she would have to drop everything she was doing to meet him.
Meanwhile Ellie's boss was getting on her nerves and had the audacity to tell her that she was not up to snuff. But, since Ellie had money in the bank she quits. In the first book you learn about her friend Tom which she secretly had a long term crush on but he got engaged. But,since Ellie met Mr. Black she realizes that she is no longer care about him.
When Mr. Black calls her again she is out with her friend at a bar he tells her where to meet him she goes there and he takes her intoa private club. When she sees what kind of club it is she freaks out runs out and gets a taxi home.
Mr. Black keeps trying to get Ellie by phone so he could apologize but she would not pickup the phone. Finally Ellie talks to him and he "Aiden" told her he wants to date Ellie without being Mr.Black the Dominant.
They meet and talk about their lives Ellie finds out that he had been married before when he was young. She told him that she didn't have much to tell. They get to know each other Ellie seems to be falling hard for Mr. Black.
Aiden takes Ellie on a date and who shows up his ex wife giving him a sad story with a lot of drama. Ellie starts to leave Aiden grabs her and tell her he would get rid of the ex. They go to Aiden's home and Ellie was amazed they go into the bedroom where Aiden put up a hanging sex chair. She knew the last time he did not have it there.
Ellie gets a package from "Aiden" which he invites her to the yacht for another party. But, there is a little tongue in cheek when the invitation shows up in a Amazon box. This time her friend Christine begs to go even though she knows that the party is also an auction
Ellie and Aiden get together again as he invites her back to the yacht to another party/auction. This time her friend Caroline with her knowing she will be auctioned off. Ellie didn't get dressed up because she was there for Aiden.
Lizbeth gave all the girls what they were to wear. She tells Ellie that Mr.Black wanted her in the auction and of course she knew that Aiden will win. Earlier that evening Elle ran into a man she met the last time on the yacht Blake. He gave her the creeps when they met the first time.
Caroline goes up to be auctioned off this time she was ready and made great money. It was Ellie turn next and she got over a a hundred thousand dollars. She didn't want Aiden to pay for her when so when she is lead to a room she expected Aiden but when the man opened the door and she heard him speak she realizes it is Blake.
Blake handcuff to the bed as she was trying to push him off do her. She couldn't believe that Aiden didn't bid on her and he allowed Blake to win. But the next thing she was fighting Blake off when Aiden crashed through door and punched Blake and threw him to the ground. Aiden couldn't believe Lizbeth let Ellie to be auctioned to anyone but him. Ellie is of course shaken but Aiden assured her that she was not supposed to be auctioned only to him.
Things start to go south because Blake pulled out of Aiden business and took some more investors with him because he couldn't have Elle and Blake he was vindictive.
Aiden finally tells Ellie that he loved her and she professed her love for him. But things start to spiral out and Aiden company is going down fast.

When Ellie finds out that the women on the yacht are to be auctioned off to the highest bidder and made to do whatever the winner wants for one night, she has a difficult decision to make. Does she stay and participate in the auction, where she will get to keep the money that is bid on her, and risk feeling dirty just to make some quick cash? Or does she leave with nothing but her principles and an empty wallet?
Ellie decides to go through with it and is won by Mr. Black himself. Their night isn’t exactly what she expected. Yes, they had some very steamy sex, but they spent the majority of their time together talking and getting to know one another. He gets her to agree to go on a ‘normal’ date with him where he apologizes to her for their previous outing. They spend another steamy night together where Mr. Black does new and wicked things to Ellie. The next day an invitation arrives for another yacht party. Ellie isn’t sure she wants to go as she doesn’t want anyone else to bid on her, but she agrees because Aiden says it will be fun and that he only wants to be with her because he is falling for her.
Auctioned to Him 3:
Book three in the series takes us back to Aiden’s yacht and another party. It begins much the same way as the first party, but has very different ending. Aiden is nowhere to found and Ellie is told that she has to join the auction if she wants to see him. When the bidding is over though, it is not Aiden who walks into her room.
To find out what happens next, you will need to pick up the book as I don’t want to give anything away.
I have really enjoyed this series. The storyline and characters are both well developed and I have been hooked since the beginning.

Ellie is pretty much begged into going to this Yacht party with her roommate/best friend, Ellie is not the type to party she would rather be at home, but she decides that she might as well do something in her life on the wild side and gives it a try. Ellie never thought that that one night would change her entire life, she meets this man Mr Black who wins her in an auction but they hit it off right away, for one he feels something for a woman he has never felt before and she gets pushed to her limits on things she has only imagined in her fantasies.
Ellie and Aiden make plans but this time for a week, but where he takes her she isnt ready for and runs out on him Aiden can not believe that a woman would run out on him as its not something he is used to having happen but when he thinks on it more he realizes his problem Ellie is not anything like any other woman he has know, so he starts to take things slower and letting her set the pace. Ellie and Aiden have this strong desire for each other and while Aiden thinks he will get her out of his system its not something that is happening as he is just getting closer and closer to her daily.
Ellie and Aiden return to the Yacht and while she has this thing in her mind that he invited her to be with him she is surprised to here that he wants her in the auction again, at this point it isnt about the money anymore as she just wants him, but things go horribly wrong when someone else ends up in her room that isnt Aiden and she wonders what is going on as she only wants him and no one else. Aiden will do anything for her and it shows when things go down and Ellie is defended by Aiden.
These 3 books were amazing and I can not wait to read the next 3, I have enjoyed watching two people who had their lives planned out but never seeing each other coming but start to fall for one another quickly, not knowing if its the money that keeps her around or for her his playboy ways of playing games with her, but one thing is for sure they both have these feelings for the other that they have never felt for anyone else before. If you like stories like this, then Auctioned to Him 1-3 is a must!

In book one Ellie's friend Caroline is invited to an exclusive yacht party and she can bring a guest so she takes Ellie with her. They both thought it was just a typical party for rich people but quickly learned it was somethin else altogether. When they learn of the auction Caroline backs out to go home but Ellie stays. Ellie just wanted to make enough to pay off her school loan. Mr. Black was taken with Ellie when he first saw her arrive and knew he had to have her. However will one night be enough for either of them?
In book two Ellie goes back to her life somewhat richer but missing Aiden (Mr. Black). Even though he exchanged numbers with her she just wasn't sure of she'd ever hear from him again. After her boss was nasty to her about her work she ends up quitting to start writing full time. Just when she stops thinking about Aiden he calls for her to meet him. After a misunderstanding with Aiden Ellie questions if she really knew him at all. After they talk about everything they agree to have a real date. However nothing goes as planned and one action sets about a life changing event for them.
This was a rollercoaster ride of a story and I loved every minute. The chemistry between Aiden and Ellie is steamy hot. I love how much of a dominate Aiden was in this book. I can't wait to read the next two installments great story so far.

In book two Ellie goes back to her life somewhat richer but missing Aiden (Mr. Black). Even though he exchanged numbers with her she just wasn't sure of she'd ever hear from him again. After her boss was nasty to her about her work she ends up quitting to start writing full time. Just when she stops thinking about Aiden he calls for her to meet him. After a misunderstanding with Aiden Ellie questions if she really knew him at all. After they talk about everything they agree to have a real date. I'd rated this set of books 3 stars for various reasons, but now that I see the author has decided to try to rebrand the books into another title, another cover, and possibly another story line coming up, I decided I'd write the review I only put on Amazon at the time.
I was anamoured of Mr. Black when this series started. I liked the concept (and oh, to other reviewers who are making statements while reviewing the final book in this series - you should re-read the first book, Ellie is no more a virgin than I am), and I really enjoyed him. Not so sure I ever like Ellie with her odd personality. But then I really did some thinking. It was obvious from the get go that Charlotte Byrd had only ever played with a little kink, and had not been involved in true BDSM at any point in her life. What Mr. Black and Ellie partook of on the yacht is kink, pure and simple, which doesn't translate itself into BDSM at all.
Then, there is the idea that it took 8 books (at $2.99 a pop) to tell a story that, at best should have been two full size novels. At one time, the story in one of the books ended at less than 20% of my Kindle (reading on KU) and the remainder was book-stuffed with other items I had no intention of reading. That totally turned me off.
Back to Ellie. I found her a drama-filled teenager rather than a strong woman. In fact, she isn't strong at all in the first few books. When she stands up for herself, it is too little too late, in my mind. I'll keep my three star rating, but I just headed back into KU to re-read the series, as I see glorious five star reviews for these books and I'm wondering, as both a reader and an editor, what I missed.

Auctioned to Him
This is my first book by Charlotte Byrd and I really enjoyed it. The characters are well-written and the story flowed smoothly. Mr. Black and Ellie have great sexual chemistry, but what I enjoyed the most was how they seemed to really connect on a deeper level. While there is great sex, there was also passion and intimacy. I’m excited to see where their story goes.

Although I really enjoyed book one, this one didn’t give me the same feels. I can’t seem to pinpoint exactly what it was that left me wanting. Ellie went from auctioning herself off for sex to panicking and running from Mr. Black taking her to a sex club. Her friendship with Tom also seeming to go from ‘we are best friends’ to her being …snobbish, I guess. I don’t know, it just didn’t jive with me. I didn’t feel the passion or the connection I felt in book one. Will this discourage me from reading the next book, oh heck no, I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen at the party!

Wow! Did not expect that twist on the yacht! The aftermath could destroy everything. Will the truth of everything come out, and if so, what repercussion will there be? Will their relationship survive? OMG I need book four NOW! Charlotte Byrd has done it again with Auctioned to Him 3. Great characters with a riveting story that grabs the reader and leaves us wanting more and more.
I’m excited for this series and can’t wait to see what else Charlotte Byrd has in store for us! Make sure to continue – you won’t be sorry!

These books are really just a saga style writing of Ellie and her adventures with Mr. Black. I am going to do the review of them a little differently than I would normally do an anthology or collection. I am reviewing them all as one book.
Auctioned to Him books 1-3 by author Charlotte Byrd is an alpha billionaire story. I liked the pacing of these stories. It keeps you turning the pages and wanting more. I like that this collection is in one book because I do feel the story is one completed storyline now and I love that. No cliff hangers or anything like that.
Ellie was going to a yatch party with her friend. She gets there and finds out women are being auctioned off. If you do not play you cannot stay. Ellie is adventurous, so she stays and goes through with the auction. She will also get a ton of money along with a night she will never forget.
Mr. Black is who buys her. He wants her for more than just one night. He wants to own her.
Ellie is a curvy girl, I liked that there needs to be more plus sized heroines if you ask me. She has a ton of student debt, so the money is something she cannot turn down. She doesn’t feel she fits in with wealthy people. But she is brave. I liked her bravery.
Mr. Black is mysterious, multi layered and a little dangerous.
I liked these stories they have intensity, love, and a ton of angst to keep me turning the pages.
I would like to read more from this author in the future I like how the characters were written and how they evolved from start to finish in this book.

In the first book, Ellie's friend Charlotte receives an invitation to a party on a yacht. And she convinces Elle to go with her as a plus 1. Elle is out of her comfort zone, but decides to take part in the auction aboard the yacht. Mr. Black is the winning bidder and Elle's world will never be the same again. Their chemistry is hot and after the one night, They went back to their individual lives. Book 2 you find Elle thinking of Mr. black/Aiden and vice versa. He can't stop thinking of her, so he offers her big $$ to spend a week with him. Elle agrees but the first night they are together, Aiden takes her to a private sex club and Elle becomes offended and flees the club and goes home. Elle has feelings for Aiden but she thinks he only wants to be with her for the sex. Aiden apologizes for his actions and asks her to go on a normal date with him. Aiden tells Elle he is falling for her. At the end of book 2, another invitation arrives to go back to the yacht. Book 3 -- Elle is confused as to why Aiden would ask her to another party at the yacht since they already are seeing one another. Caroline convinces Elle to go and to take her along this time too. When they arrive at the yacht, Aiden/Mr. Black is not around. Elle asks to speak to him but is told she is to agree to participate in the auction. Elle has a bad feeling about the whole thing, but Caroline convinces her that everything will work out. Elle is auctioned off but the buyer wasn't who she was expecting. This story just gets more intriguing with each installment. I would recommend reading this series, you will not be disappointed.

Book 1
This book was simply amazing. I like the fact that it gave us a little bit of a guessing game to see where the story would go. Ellie is unsure in what to do about her life. Her friend get this invite and has Ellie go with her. By the time they get to the yacht Ellie is unsure what she should do. In comes Mr. Black. He will be the guy to change her life. As the story continues we will find out how their relationship will play out. I'm really enjoying this series so far and I give this book 5 stars.
Book 2
As the story continues we see that Ellie is hiding something about herself but what we don't know. As we read more, we find that they are starting to develop feeling for one another. I think the fact that Aiden is making an effort to get to know her and he shows that he can be that guy. At the end of this book we see another invitation to the yacht again. Will it be like before or will things get turned up a notch. 5/5 with book 2.

As the story takes a turn...Blake *bad guy* tries to rape her and Aiden stops that. But with that now a big part of the story...Aiden is forced to make some serious changes. The story keeps getting better and better but now I have to wait to see what happens in book 4 & 5. This is getting good. 5/5 stars.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a set of the first three installments of this series. I .really enjoyed these books. In the first part, Ellie decides to take part in an auction aboard a yacht. I loved that Ellie knew what she wanted and went for it. I liked how she threw caution to the wind and decided to take a chance on the yacht in the first place and participated in the auction. Mr. Black was a strong alpha who really enjoyed his time with Ellie and wants to see her again. This was a good story. In part three of this series. In this book, Ellie goes back to the yacht to another auction at the request of Mr. Black. Ellie thought they were passed the point of him buying her, she didn't want the money, she only wanted him. When they get the yacht, the auction is set up a little differently and when it comes Ellie's turn, she doesn't want to go on stage but thinks it is what Aiden wants and it is the only way she can see him. Afterwards Ellie is brought to the room only to find out it wasn't Aiden who bought her but Blake. Ellie is handcuffed and she wants to be set free and Blake refuses and attacks her. Blake is a business associate of Aiden's and when things go bad after the auction, he withdraws his investment to Aiden's company OWL. I think Ellie and Aiden have great chemistry and the sex scenes are hot. This is a great set of the story to start you off on reading their tale. Good one.

Book 1: HOT, HOT and More HOT - Excellent read. I truly enjoyed this book. There was definitely some HOT HOT sex scenes. Very well written and has entertaining stories. The characters were awesome too. After reading this book I decided I needed more so now I am reading the second book.
Book 2: This was a wonderful continuation of Aiden and Ellie's story. In this book, we get to know more about the mysterious Mr Black. Ellie auctioned herself to pay student loans. After spending time away from Ellie after their night together, Ellie is all Aiden can think about.She thought that she would not hear of him again and then he called her with a proposition for her and it was to spend a week with him and do whatever he wants. Their chemistry is out of this world, they are hot and sexy together. Talk about some hot sex scenes!! I thoroughly loved this book and I can’t wait to see what’s I will find in book #3
Book 3: Wow Wow Wow! What a twist in this story! You think that you know where the night on the yacht is going to end up and then Ellie turns the tides and takes us down a different path. Love the ride!! Charlotte has written 3 great books and yacht library scene was totally awesome!!
Ellie and Aiden are so great together even with all the ups and downs of their relationship, they are going to be together for a long time [at least I think/hope they will].

I recently completed book 3 of this series after having read the first 2 some time ago and I was able to pick up on the story right away. The books build on each other, so it is important to read them in order so that you can understand the characters' building relationship. The story is continued into books 4 and 5 (currently available). It appears that the series will continue even longer since the author has written that book 5 will have a "HEA for now".
The entire series is very good and I can highly recommend this author. The books are well-written, the characters are diverse and have engaging dialogue. The story in each book details the next set of circumstances in the story. For example, book 1 is the characters' initial meeting. Book 2 details the first week of their relationship and book 3 is about the following weekend. I know the timeline doesn't sound like there would be enough material to warrant each story, but the tone in each book is different than the others and there is plenty of action to write about.
I've reviewed each of these books individually on other web sites and I have rated them 5 stars, 4 stars and 5 stars consecutively. Overall, however, this series of books is one not to be missed and it's wonderful to have these 3 volumes in one convenient set.

I am glad I got to read the first three books in succession and now I have to decide whether to wait and see if another box set comes out or grab the next one now. Lol.

This series is the first I've read by this author and
I love her writing. Ellie, lives with her best friend from college, Caroline. Caroline gets an invitation to an exclusive party and she can bring a +1. She takes Ellie. They find out that they can voluntarily be auctioned to wealthy men. The man can do anything he wants to do for one night and they can't say no. They get to keep the money to that was paid for them. Ellie decides to stay while her friend leaves. She is auctioned to Mr. Black the owner of the yacht the party is on. They both have an instant attraction to each other.

WOW! This set took me on a wild ride. I have read a lot of books with the auction trope, and I was expecting this story to follow that formula, but this was so much more. Yes, the beginning is about the auction, but the heat, emotions, and unexpected twists and turns made this book so much more. I read through the first book very quickly, and even though there were a few things that I wasn't expecting it did follow what I was mostly expecting. Then I immediately started book two, and this is where things really hooked me, and I flew through books two and three. OMG! I'm not going to say anything other than I can't get enough of this series and I need to start book four ASAP. It's hot and parts actually made me squirm. The writing is fantastic, the characters are like-able, there are unexpected surprises in the plot, the is romance, hot sex, and I'm hoping for a HEA ending. Make sure that you have the time to read this without having to put it down, because you will get so engrossed in the story that the rest of the world will fade away. I couldn't force myself to put it down, and was late for an appointment. Don't make that mistake!

Ms. Byrd grabbed my attention from the start.
Book One: Ellie meets Aiden on his yacht, when she attends an exclusive invitation only party with her friend. Her night is surprising and amazing and she doesn't want the experience to end.
Book Two: Aiden can't stand to be parted from Ellie and since Ellie is constantly thinking of Aiden, he convinces her to spend the week with him. On the first "date" of the week, Ellie finds herself questioning Aiden's motives and begins to wonder if he only wants her for sex. They work things out and Aiden reveals that he may be falling for her. At the end of the book, Ellie receives an invitation to go back to the yacht.
Book Three: Caroline convinces Ellie to go back to the yacht. The party is the same, but Ellie isn't finding Aiden. When she asks to speak to Aiden, she is told that she is to participate. This time she gets a different result.
Love the ups and downs throughout. I found myself rooting for love for Aiden and Ellie. I definitely see HEA in their future. I would recommend to all!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. (It turns out I also purchased this 3-set series start as well.) I wasn't sure what to expect as this was not an author I had read and though as the first story began, I was thinking I wasn't going to enjoy it - that it wasn't going to be the "type" of book I prefer to read. I am happy to say, that I was completely wrong. I very much enjoyed the story between Ellie and Aidan - though how they "met" and their first "date" (so-to-speak) was completely unconventional, some sparks during their first night and the three books slowly go bring you along as their relationship grows and changes, they start to get to know each other even better, both have changes in their career paths (she quits her job, his business suffers some setbacks) and you keep reading because you want them to find their happily ever after with each other. I read the first 3 very quickly and am looking forward to reading #4 and #5 and eventually #6...

I loved the book and can't wait for the story to continue. Charlotte's words flow well and her writing is very easy to read. The story is very intriguing and takes a few turns that you don't expect
Auctioned to Him 2: His for a Week
This one is as good as the first book. I really like how Mr. Black and Ellie's relationship progresses. He is certainly a man who likes to be in charge but he is so taken with her that he lets her get away with more than anyone else. I can't wait to see how things continue in the next book.
Auctioned to Him 3: Back to the Yacht
Wow. This story keeps getting better. The plot gets deeper and more complex. With each addition to this story I love it even more. Charlotte's writing continues to flow well and is easy to read. She's taken a story of smut and added a realness to the emotions and problems of the characters. Ellie and Aiden are beginning to work together because of their deepening bond. Can't wait for the next part.

Another easy read that gets you hooked from the start.

Ellie's best friend & roommate Caroline has got herself an invitation to a secret party and she need's Ellie to go with her. They have no idea what will be happening when they get there.
Ellie comes into contact with Mr Black he makes Ellie feel & act in a whole new way. Can Mr Black feel something as well?
The butterflies Ellie used to have when she see's Tom have gone. She now feels nothing for him after all this time. Her feelings are else where.
Mr Black can't get Ellie out of his mind, he wants more of her.
Can Ellie play the game Mr Black wants.
Ellie is back on the yacht and hopes it will be fun for Aiden to buy her again. Things don't go as she hopes.
Some friends just cant be trusted. Are they even friends?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I must admit, I was curious. I have read quite a lot of erotic stories, and often I had to complain about a story missing. Therefore, I was surprised that this book, or let's better say, this story since it consists of a series of books and is still ongoing, is so manifold. You get to learn more about the characters, their motivation for acting the way they do, their worries, it is about actual people, not just about some people having sex. I could not help but had to read on, and every time I finished a part, I was sad that I had to wait until the next part would come out. The story is really addictive. I am looking forward to part IV now and I think, you all will get hooked by the story as well as soon as you'll start reading.

The story starts off with Ellie being invited to the yacht party by her friend. While at the party Ellie decides to participate in the auction. Her winning bidder is Mr. Black (Aiden). Their attraction to each other is very powerful. They are constantly thinking about each other. Soon Aiden calls Ellie with an offer she can't refuse. She & Aiden will spend one week together. However, things do not go as planned. Book 3 finds Ellie back at the yacht in which she decides to participate in the auction again. Ellie is shocked to find out that this a blind auction. The author definitely threw in a twist that I didn't see coming. I've enjoyed the development of Aiden and Ellie's affection through each book. This is a must read series!!

Intriguing story
This was the first book/collection that I read by Charlotte Byrd but it wont be my last. I really couldn’t put the book down. The main characters, Ellie and Mr Black/Aiden, are interesting and developed as is the storyline. Ellie by her own admission is not an adventurous person. She decides to go to an exclusive yacht party with her friend. Ellie stays when her friend leaves and is auctioned to the highest bidder. Mr. Black cant resist purchasing Ellie something about her intrigues him. There are so many interesting twists and turns in this collection. Just when you think the story is going to move in one way it shifts and goes in another way. There are some very steamy sexy scenes between these two. There is some bdsm scenes but nothing out of control. This is a dark erotic romance. I really enjoyed the story.

I’m not usually a fan of stories that continue in the next book with the same main characters but I liked the fact that this book included books one through three. Also, books four and five are also available. Each book has it’s own happily ever after for now.
The author takes some taboo situations and creates sensual stories that get your attention and keeps you wanting more. Once you read this collection you will want to read books four and five which I have already started.
